It is a later car than 1958 probably 1960 , the difference is the horn push in the centre of the steering wheel , earlier cars had the horn on the indicator stalk, also the engine is a 948 cc ,this replaced the old series 2 engine which was only 803 cc. In 1956 , called the Minor 1000 ,but it was not 1000cc.

My neighbour had one, and I had a great ride in it! The ride stayed completely LEVEL, because they were long enough back and front, to weigh down the suspension, when hitting a big bump - all without drama! I seem to remember seeing this video a long time ago - and enjoyed THEN! I also enjoyed seeing one of my all-time favourite Vauxhalls in the background - the more rounded "E" series! Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)

The bumpers are the same across the whole model range. It is a bad repair.

Looks like the over rider in question has been crunched and or repaired from parts from another RH over rider. It certainly isn't right.

I see you have 5 series in the back ground. Which one is it??

There are rubber gaskets missing from between the over riders and the bumper. That is the correct bolt. The length just helps with reassembly. Good luck.

Where can we get such passionate builders? i have the same isuzu bakkie and the engine has been repaired so many times i have decided to just park it. it is too much to keep rebuilding the engine. i want to do the same midification with a v6 enginee.

My friend had a Cresta, same body. Don't remember the engine. But, when I got in, I didn't get in like you did. And hit my hip in that window bend. A beautiful car, but my friend wanted some American car, so he swapped the Vauxhall.

You best check the bodywork carefully. They were real rot boxes here in the UK and had holes in the wings within two years.
