This video is the LAST installment of my thrilling adventures in the Badakhshan region of Afghanistan and Tajikistan! It is bittersweet, so dive in to find out why I continue to be amazed by this part of the world.
At the University of Khorog, I witnessed the uncertainty in the international student community after the shocking events across the border. And in the Afghan communities, I saw the locals living their everyday lives in spite of their challenges.
Watch, comment, share with friends and family!
And, yes, there will be more Content to come from OTHER parts of Tajikistan! ;-)

The Ottoman's never conquered anything east of the Caspian Sea and Uzbekistan
Islam was brought to ancestors of modern Uzbeks during the 8th century when the Arabs entered Central Asia
Arab culture is not saudia , Saudi is more open now, 2 you made a mistake , check the map of Morocco, 2-othmans did not colonize the empire of Morocco...
I am certain I did not make a mistake, but if you can note the time stamp in the video and explain what you think is mistaken, I would be happy to take a look.

Hello can you please message me your Instagram page please sir I wanted to talk to you
Russians had better life than Uzbeks in soviet period. Why did u ask the russian woman about soviet period of Uzbekistan? You should ask uzbek intelligentsia about that period… soviets did a lot of bad things to uzbek people…
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Soviet_Union_referendum
I’m in my opinion they did a lot of bad things to all people, especially normal people. It’s over now and I hope the future will hold a bit of peace for all of us 🤲🏻🙏
Russians had it just as bad as everyone else. The Soviet era had good and bad like With everything.
That was a very sad story at the end…
I might there for a week ).. is it authentic city ? Not too commercialised
It's probably the most authentic city you'll find in the region and definitely not too commercialised. You'll have a great time, I'm sure. Feel free to ask me any questions, I will help if I can.
@@ToyyinnAuslander would a week by myself there be too long ?
@@benmcguire4014 , after 3 days in Tashkent, you might start to get a bit bored if you're by yourself and don't have any regular engagements to occupy your time.

Hey, can you explain what you mean? 😁
@@ToyyinnAuslander How does this have so few views, I mean.
@@yearsofyore9622ah! Now I understand. Looks like I need to work on my marketing and boost strategy. 👍🏾
@@ToyyinnAuslander No, really. I meant it. I saw your video in my feed and saved it to my WL playlist without second thought, and upon returning to it was totally dumbfounded by its view count. It should've been in the thousands, by all accounts.
You are very kind! I definitely enjoyed making this video (both the interview and tge editing), and I would like to see it more widely viewed. Couple things, though: 1) I really do need to work harder on my boosting and reach which we've already started on, and 2) in the current climate, it seems the algorithm punishes Content with mentuons of Russian and the Russian language. But I'm might glad to have your support. 👍🏾
Love your video keep posting more like this!
Thanks, bro. Working on editing as we speak. 😁 I hope you remembered to Subscribe! 😉
