This may sound crazy, but it really encouraged me to hear you talk about it being difficult for you to keep up your relationship with God when it's that time of the month. That's something I've been struggling with for years. When it was almost "that time," I'd give into those feelings of indifference and irritability. I'd end up pretty much just scrolling on social media because I didn't feel good. But almost a year ago, God radically renewed my relationship with Him and the struggle has been even HARDER during PMS. I have to keep reminding myself that feeling bad isn't an excuse to sin. I think it's definitely helped to keep showing up, keep reading my Bible and praying even when I don't feel like it. Anyway, it just helped me feel less alone in my struggle to hear you say that, so thank you for being honest!

I have been going through spiritual warfare day in and day out for the past 3 months and yesterday anxiety struck me and I struggled to shake the feeling, then it went away for a bit and today it struck again so I prayed in tongues and immediately it left. God is so good!

How were you able to fully let go from the right grip of anxiety? That is something I struggle with. I know that I have to surrender to be free, but I simply don't know how, and when I do, my anxiety ramps up so much. It's a spiral but I can only hope one day God will pull me out of it, I guess.

The message of the Bible is that no matter how evil you think you are, no matter how far you feel you are from God, you can get right with God. You can go to heaven. All you have to do is put your full trust in Jesus. The message of the Bible is that Jesus was punished for all the evil things you have done or will ever do. He loved you so much that he was willing to die a horrible, brutal death for what you did. He was punished for your actions. If you believe in him and trust him you will have eternal life with God. You will not go to hell because Jesus already went for you. All you have to do is trust in Jesus. Nothing else. You don't have to go to church. You don't have to give money to people. You don't have to do anything but believe in what Jesus did. That he sacrificed himself for you so that you could go to heaven.

It is not the jews law, it is God's law given to the jews first, then the gentiles

Science and faith definitely do align! The creators of modern science were mostly God fearing Christians, like Bacon, Newton, Leibnitz and many more. 89% of Nobel Prize winners were theists. You should tell your friend to check out Alvin Plantinga's lecture, Where the Conflict Really Lies. Plantinga is a excellent philosopher and really dug deep into the relationship between science and Christian belief.

Hi Janelle, fyi at 3:30 you said God created Jesus as himself in human form but this isn't true. - God is tri-personal meaning he is one being (Deuteronomy 6:4), yet three distinct persons (Matthew 28:19) - none of the persons were created including Jesus (Colossians 1:16-17) they existed before creation Jesus existed before the incarnation incorporeally, then at ~1 A.D. took on human flesh becoming fully human yet remaining fully divine. This may seem pedantic but it is important we get our theology right not only for ourselves but when explaining it to non believers. Also great explanation of why there are different bible versions.

I'm a follower of Christ too, and listening to music that has offensive lyrics, watching movies that don't even seem offensive but are like Harry Potter (because of all the witchcraft and divination that's against Christianity), hearing people use God or Jesus' name in a conversation for no reason or in vain (so much so that it feels like a cuss), and doing something that is even slightly unbiblical would make me cringe or even as you said, say "I don't like it" or "I really shouldn't be saying this or doing that". Because I'm reading my bible more, and just overall consuming Christian content made me a lot more aware of my surroundings and the enemy.

It’s really nice to hear I’m not alone in this. It really Bothers me if I see stuff like that on my products or being shared by a brand in the media. I haven’t been purchasing from many makeup brands for a plethora of reasons. Had they Not gone out of their way (unnecessarily) to advocate for something evil and anti- God then I would’ve never known and continued to be a blissfully ignorant customer of theirs. They wouldn’t lose customers by just not stating their opinions- but again and again we see brands and celebrities choose to speak against good morals and values and God. I used to think Taylor Swift was wholesome. Haven’t listened to her recent album and don’t plan to now. Seeing her seated next to the singer who was holding up devil worshiping hand signs told me all I needed to know. She didn’t react to it at all how I would’ve expected. How one would expect a person to react if they were surprised at what their friend was doing or even a slight embarrassment or hint of surprise or disapproval in her eyes. Nothing. She didn’t appear to be phased by it at all.

I memorized the ten commandments recently because I realized how strange it was being saved and not remembering them off by heart lol. They are repeated throughout the new testament and it also says the entire law is fulfilled when you love your neighbor as yourself (romans 13:8-10). So awesome 😊 God bless!

Sometimes I just turn off and shove my phone and laptop somewhere and dont spend time on it at all for a few days. Even doing this for a week or 2 is good

For a while now Ive been praying that the Lord would take away my desire to be on my devices and now often when Im on my screens I dont feel like doing it at all. Now Im still trying to be obedient cause I still tend to go on my laptop or phone out of habit but honestly I waste SO MUCH LIFE just looking at things that dont really matter at all

Very insightful. Have never heard it put better. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your mind, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength,." Learning to focus on God and forget self rather than love self. But you are not guilty of gluttony. You may have become preoccupied with food, BUT you are not overweight!
