Some footage of the Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral and crypt in Prague during the summer of 2023. This was the location where British SOE trained members of the Czechoslovak resistance hid after they carried out the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in what was named Operation Anthropoid. They were eventually found hiding in the crypt of the cathedral and a gunfight ensued.

Building My First Rifle Rack - A 2 Tier System
From my knowledge most of the official polish documentation on this weapon was unfortunately destroyed during the war. (Generally this project was worked on in Arsenal 2 in Warsaw and Warsaw got completely obliterated during the war)
Its actually a Burton Ball NOT a Minie
Great video, thanks
Just seeing this video. When I was little I had a BB gun, later upgraded to a .22 Merlin model 60 at about 12. Around that 15y/o range I got the model 464. Used very seldom as I haven’t hunted the past few years. Got my gun out for this season and it was exposed to some moisture. A decent but if surface rust. I plan to fix and keep but it’s surprising to me how much hate this guns get. I’ve not had any true issues from what I can remember. But I’d like to keep it going and keep it around
I love mine ! I look at the postive note with the 22s they are cheap to shoot , even though I do wish GSG would've made it where it shoots the 5.56 Cartridge the same as my AR-15 but hey Im glad I was able to get a hold of this STG44 replica.👌🏻
Looks better than the "stuff" you get from RTI!
In my personal opinion, the mannlicher system is the greatest flaw of the Italian carcono. A standard magazine would be much better.
You need a French Gras rifle
I use Murphy’s soap too, pretty awesome stuff.
You think RTI would check the chamber on the last rifle.
I bought a vetterli 1870/87/15 from RTI a year ago. Decent shape, dirty as hell but it cleaned up nicely. It’s hanging in my office now.
Hmmnn.....does the barrel unscrew...or is it permanently fixed?
You just saved my life with the “pull to firing position”
Virginia has crazy California gun laws ! Glad i live in Kentucky .
@@MegaRiffraff What are you evening talking about? They’re not even remotely close to California’s laws. Other than no private transfers and one handgun a month, it’s not really any different than most states. This is a video about a federal C&R license, not state gun laws.
That's not a Pritchett cartridge it's a US minie.the paper is tossed on the ground.
@@ronrobertson59 yes….
Question! Were the older ottoman mausers made in Germany? Because i understand that the new mausers were made in turkey, but just wondering about the older ones!
@@rifraf7126 correct, the 1893’s and 1903’s were all made in Germany.
@GarandGuy2553 ya I was trying to figure out what model mine is but I'm 90% sure it's a 1893, what was throwing me off was, the stock.. it's the modern version but all the pictures I saw online were unconverted so they had the older style stock, mine was converted in 1935 so they must have dropped it into a new stock... so the stock it from 1935 but all the other parts are much older!
@ That’s fairly common. They did put newer stocks on many of them so you’ll find 1893’s without the straight line grips.
@@GarandGuy2553 thank you! The video helped out a ton! Not having a lot of information was really holding me back on making a post about the gun! But now that I basically know the story of the rilfe I can finally do that!
@GarandGuy2553 also, i have one last question! So I was wondering if they used these in ww1 I know the Turks didn't do much In ww2 but since this rilfe is much older, do you think it's possible it would have been used in ww1?
Sorry to all of you purists, I have this rifle in the same condition so I figured that seeing I'm not a historian or collector and if I'm gonna have anything that shoots I'm gonna make it usable in modern day conditions, so I mounted a high-end long rage scope to it, not only does it look mean as hell but now its easily capable of 1000 yard shots. Theres a lot of reasons this was a stupid rifle to make as it was, it should've been made as an exact copy of the Japanese type 38, which it is far from being. No important parts from this rifle can be replaced with anything from any of the actual Japanese rifles, everything is proprietary to this rifle only, so if you lose or break this bolt you better just throw the rifle away😊
@@JoeBilello1969 Do that to an already sporterized rifle, not a complete one.
@GarandGuy2553 I have a spoterized one of them too, I put a scope on that one as well, I was on a conspiracy kick so I did that to my extra rifles and got each one a shoulder bag with a couple of hundred rounds in each, a multi-tool, flash light, binoculars, large survival knife and stuff like that. I figured if SHTF I had extra weapons to pass out to friends and neighbors. If those rifles were worth some serious money then of course I would've never did that, but that's not the case and at least now they have a good purpose. I have a Carcano 1891 Carbine that I left alone except for a bipod. I did a lot of work to all of those guns, re-angeled thebfeed ramp, polished everything, now they work and cycle so smooth its amazing, thats what they're for.......at least for me anyway. All you need is a couple of little Allen or straight blade plugs and the rifle looks untouched again, no biggie.
Considering what I just purchased for a little over a $1300, I can't believe these are sold for even today, utter trash.
My first time was buying two hex receive russian mosin nagant. Cost me a total of $180 shipped. My last time was buying 25 M91 carcano carbines cost me $2975 shipped. I’m about to apply for my c&r again.
I am Canadian, We were able to buy South American Mausers in matching serial numbered units in good to very good condition, no pitting, passable bluing good bore, or dark/good bore, from International Firearms, for C$i50- $180...1985-1995, when a short lived and expensive Gun Registry shut Them down.....I bought second hand DBI books written by American Gunsmiths, they were My bibles....I would disassemble My rifles and gently service them , Oxpho Blueing, scraping down stocks with broken window pane glass, and refinnishing with linseed oil....I have a collection of beautiful Milsurps, that I, at 79 years of age cannot take with Me, and cannot ship to US to take advantage of large "Mercan dollars....woe is Me....by the way, for accuracy, never shoot Your Milsurp with bayonette and/or stacking rod mounted....adversly affects barrel vibration....
is that the pedersoli replica ?
Pretty rad! Thanks for posting.
My 91/41 came with a bent bolt handle.
@@timp3931 ahhh it shouldn’t be bent. Probably mismatched.
I fired a few 3 inch groups at 100 yards with .267 torpedo bullet out of my carcano M41. The other ammo is just a waste of time - good for the cases.
I’m forever grateful for Mikhail Kalashnikov and his ingeniously simplistic and most notably reliable design. The AK platform is the epitome of durability and reliability when it comes to rifles. No matter what I’ll never be without a few AKs, it is THE platform I trust my life with and has been since the day I decided to pick up my first mag fed semi auto. Eugene Stoner was a genius as well and I don’t discredit his design, but in my humble opinion it comes in at 2nd place (and I say that as a lifelong citizen of the US).
I am impressed with your video and am looking into buying one myself. I am just curious about how much polymer is around the barrel. I know it might take a lot to hurt the polymer parts but I am concerned if it is a known problem?
I visited a few years ago with a sweat shirt with Edward 1st on tour with a list of battles and dates , the Jocks have no sense of humour 😂.
Inside the stock there should be a two-piece cleaning rod
Yeah, most of these you’ll get today don’t have them or you’ll find them in various states of decay. I have yet to get one that has a cleaning rod.
Inside the butt of the 91-38 rifle should be the 2-piece cleaning rod
@@linusbol Most of these surplus rifles won’t have the cleaning rod. Many were removed long ago. Bonus points for those who find one!
Hi...thanks for the video. It is very informative. My question is once you apply for this license, does the ATF come around and interview neighbors and things like that?
Nope, not at all. This type of license is not one the AFT cares about and they spent about 0% of their resources on C&R licenses. I’ve never heard of anything like that happening. They have bigger fish to fry.
Simpson had a good deal for my FAL, but they barely even put a handful of pack peanuts in the box. Really dissatisfied with them for that.
Oh wow, that is indeed surprising. I’ve only purchased one item from them but it was packed in bubble wrap and surrounded by peanuts.

Just picked up a deac 1891/41 (FAT41) over in the UK. This has been the best video I have found explaining the various aspects of the rifle! Nice job 💪
Thanks! There are a few things I got wrong on the history I need to go back and correct.
I picked up one of these from Classic back in roughly the same time period. Cleaned up well and is a good shooting rifle. I was never able to find the hand guard. I have one that is close, but it's a little too long. I have thought of just sanding and trimming as these front hand guards seem to be long gone.
Yeah, I got lucky with my handguard. Picked it up and couldn’t believe it actually fit.
I’m on a mission to find out how to read Japanese letters my grandfathers arisaka from the war has engravings on the wood most likely from a soldier either leaving a message or his name I want to find out what it says
Post it on Gunboards. They have a helpful community of Arisaka experts over there.
Check out the k98k forum if you’re ever in the market for another gewehr 98. Bunch of knowledgeable guys on there that’ll help you figure out if a listing is a deal or not. Gewehrs also pop up for sale occasionally on the trading section. A guy had a 1916 VC Schilling on there in great condition for $650 a few months back
If only these two knew the amount of children who would keep fighting over which gun is the best when both of them thought highly of each others work
0:01 This is an s-18/100, not s-18/1000
Ahhh right you are!
as far as I know, this is the best researched video on the type I rifle in any language. Sir, you've done a great service for the community!
Thank you! C&Rsenal recently put out a video as well on the Type I.
I've noticed how Turkish Model 1938 rifles will differ regarding the front barrel band. Some are secured by a front barrel band spring and some are secured by using a rudimentary pin or nail that runs across the band to the other side. What version did the base M1938 K.Kales use? I have one that requires the pin but cant find this part anywhere online.
Yeah, the single pins seem to be the common denominator on just the 38 K.Kale’s while the older converted guns have the springs. I’m honestly not sure where you would find a pin like that and you’re unlikely to find them on parts websites because it’s only unique to one rifle. You’re probably better off making your own as a replacement which may not be super helpful.
Bore was so bad I almost let out a flapjack scream
Lol
