Just picked up a deac 1891/41 (FAT41) over in the UK. This has been the best video I have found explaining the various aspects of the rifle! Nice job 💪
4:50 Re. the Carcano Sights- The older models had adjustable Sights with a 300 meter Zero; and them adjustments from 450 meters to 200 meters. The Mod 38 in 7.35mm had a Sight fixed for 200 meters, and the Mod 38 in 6.5mm was fixed to 300 meters; due to the 6.5s slower Velocity etc. But as stated here, the Mod. 41 had Battle Zero of 200 meters; owing to the closer nature of modern combat.
@@GarandGuy2553 like an idiot I sold all of them. I’ve still got a fare number of military rifles but I didn’t keep any Italian rifles. Too bad. I enjoyed shooting them and the 6.5x52mm cartridge. I’ve still got some clips rattling around.
For the purpose of demonstrating rate of fire of a Carcano, I’m firing in rapid succession in one particular direction as Italian soldiers were trained. These are not aimed shots.

Thanks! There are a few things I got wrong on the history I need to go back and correct.
My 91/41 came with a bent bolt handle.
@@timp3931 ahhh it shouldn’t be bent. Probably mismatched.

Solid Carcano videos, mate.
Thanks my Canadian friend! I’m trying to my best to make this series reasonably well.
Excellent video on a very interesting rifle. I’ve always had a soft spot for Carcano rifles.
Thank you sir! They’re really great rifles once you handle them for a bit. I’m going to do a video fairly soon on my personal Carcano collection.
Good video. Cool rifle! These Italian rifles have been under appreciated for way too long. Wish I’d held onto at least one of my carcanos.
Thanks! What happened to the rest of your Carcanos?

@@SuburbanRifleman ehh it’s not bad to consolidate. When you own so many guns in different calibers, a lot of them sit on the shelf.
Stop yanking the trigger. Squeeeeze....
