Thank you for the kind words and for watching. I have tried many projectors since the Epson 5050UB. I wanted to get away from the bulb and go solid state with the triple laser. I had tried Xgimi, Benq, Dangbei, LG and many more and luck would have it I came upon the JMGO N1 ULTRA via Kickstarter. I even grew impatient with the process and cancelled my Kickstarter. I regret that as I re bought in later at the more expensive price. I am glad I did though as absolutely nothing comes close to this projector. As far as short throw goes, I did try a Hisense and I just couldn't get the image square and the projector mounted properly. My home theatre was already set up for long throw so I stuck with that. Keep an eye out for June 6th when my newest review comes out on a brand new JMGO product even better than the N1!

I can honestly say it has never once not worked exactly how it is supposed to. I have been very happy with it but I don't use all the time, and only used it once for heat as I tend to run a little hot most of the time anyways 😄

Hey Phillip, thanks for watching... unfortunately there is an issue that you don't get full Dolby Vision as with an Ezcoo, you have to manually be able to turn on HDR , which you can't do on the N1 Ultra. This is why you must have an HD FURY. The HD FURY allows you to include the HDR metadata in that Dolby Vision stream so that it keeps the HDR on giving you the image as it was intended to look. I recommend looking for a used HD FURY. The Ezcoo does give the N1 the ability to show the low latency Dolby Vision but unfortunately it's not perfect.

Unfortunately because we can't set HDR manually to on the Ezcoo really only does half the job...try to find an HD FURY used and you are good to go, I have seen them for as little as $100 used...

Hey Bruce, I can see how the projector may have to use the full pixels to beam the 3D image hence the cancellation of the zoom...I can try my Ultra to see if it is the same and get back to you!

I can confirm that I am able to play 3D content on a zoomed image with the N1 Ultra but I have noticed something unusual for the first time...lines of purple dashes for lack of a better word running along the bottom, I will be contacting after-sales@jmgo.com to let them know, also, I haven't received the latest update yet. I have taken some pictures if you want to provide me an email...I will send them to you.

Well I still thank you for taking the time to watch it 😀. If you own a JMGO N1 ULTRA it gives you the ability to access a feature of the projector that JMGO did not natively 'allow' 👍

Hey Bruce, yes, I am limited in my room dimensions and since adding the bigger screen now at 150" I have less of the 'wasted' pixels. I would prefer to have it ideal and fit perfectly but that is just not going to happen. I have to say that I do not see any difference in the image as once, I did have the N1 on a ceiling mount and at the right distance for the perfect fit when I had a smaller screen. I know that technically there is a loss but this N1 is really so good that I could not ever be disappointed with their projector.

@@OlyGoalie67 The room my relative is working with has a throw distance of 14' which would create around a 160" image. The wall space will only accommodate a "110" screen at best (if such a thing exists). That would mean a digital source reduction of close to 40%. YIKES!!. I wouldn't consider my relative a videophile, but I cant lie about my findings as I consult on the purchase. I wouldn't accept that level of image reduction but mabye the 4K source will disguise enough of the evils of digital zoom processing to provide a satisfactory enough image for my relative. We'll see. @@brucesmith1754 you know Bruce, even at 40% I bet they wouldn't really notice a difference. The other option would be the ceiling mount which would allow them to bring the N1 closer to the wall and then limit the amount of 'shrinkage' the only problem is you then have to get the power and HDMI cable to that point which can be a challenge in itself...but worth the ability to have less digital zoom👍

@@OlyGoalie67 Oly, the images that ive seen from the N1 are so impressive that I believe your assessment is likely correct. My relative wont really scrutinize the nuances between a Blu-ray and 4K image. My media room setup is as you suggested. Although I believe I did a good job running my cabling thru conduits along my ceiling and wall to get a "perfect" image, my relative considered it too unsightly for her setup. To each, their own. I'm just trying to be as informative as I can be , laying all the information out for her decision. Just as you do in your very informative videos. Much appreciated , Oly!👍

And that makes me so happy to hear...I am so happy to know that others out there share the same love for their JMGO that I do and after all the projectors I have owned over the years (some quite a bit more expensive than the N1 Ultra) the N1 is BY FAR above and beyond the best. Hello. What you say is very interesting, since most comment that the c1 is superior in some aspects, including the use of Dolby Vison and the absence of color specks. What can you comment about your experience? Is the low latency dolby vision of the jmgo better than the full dolby vision of the hisense c1? Thank you so much

@@pabloarancibia5553 I have not had the opportunity to try the c1 as of yet, once I found the N1 Ultra I was so satisfied and happy with it that for the first time in years I felt no reason to look further. I have zero speckle on my Elite Screens A8k Accoustic transparent screen... absolutely zero.

I believe there is a way that you can correct that in the settings but you can check with the Arcana Discord and there are a bunch of great people there to help out... discord.com/invite/8CY9eQq8

Thanks so much for watching Bruce...I think the only advantage of buying the Ezcoo is that even though it did actually allow the LLDV to activate and it looks ok, but as stated, without the ability to manually keep HRD on with any of the JMGOs, it still made a difference when watching hockey for example. So for Low Latency Dolby Vision,,,no, for improved cable image...yes. I would keep an eye out for a used Arcana, I found my Arcana for $150 bucks used, essentially brand new. If you can find one for $150 or less, don't hesitate to buy it. As far as your last question...stay tuned for mid June...that's all I can say for now😉

If you add the HDFURY Arcana you can get LLDV which is the closest thing to Dolby Vision when the projector doesn't have the ability natively.

Unfortunately you are doing nothing wrong...😔 We have discovered that because the N1 Ultra cannot manually set the HDR feature to on, those washed out colors are the side effect. I am discussing with JMGO now to try to add a manual 'on' control for HDR. As far as the dropped frames goes, I did not have any issue with dropped frames when using the Ezcoo...I have however switched to the HDFury Arcana for my Low Latency Dolby Vision as it allows the HDR metadata to be included with the Dolby Vision signal so that the N1 Ultra displays it correctly and it is amazing! I will be doing a new video soon on that as well...and thanks for watching!

@@PedroViana Hey Pedro, I am using the Arcana 1 and it works amazingly well...and that is a great price to boot! I paid $150 CAD for mine and very happy I did so. If you do pick one up don't forget to go into settings under LLDV and make sure you have LLDV-HDR on, that is what makes the magic work...again, I will be posting a new video with the Arcana set up and the N1...very exciting stuff!

3d works for me but I have only tested with a Blu-ray player and I have to manually select FP and it looks amazing...

So the HDFURY includes the 'HDR' metadata within the LLDV signal which allows the JMGO to show the signal in the correct manner so that the image is not washed out. The Ezcoo only spoofs the Apple TV, Roku, NVIDIA etc. to think the JMGO can show LLDV but it does not include the HDR METADATA signal which is why it is a washed out image. I am currently in touch with Ezcoo trying to see if we can get one of their more affordable models to include that HDR signal which would be the holy grail....cheap and HDR...fingers crossed!

It does not I'm afraid as we have no way of forcing HDR mode to stay on hence the 'washed out' image...I mean it still looks good but it is not how it was intended. I did do a review of the lower end version of the Sofabaton remote so I may consider doing one on the higher end...see what spare time allows.

I would try Microsoft but I think they only charge a flat rate and replace the whole phone...not sure anyone is fixing the Duo...sorry I have nothing further for you.

Bruce, thanks for the great compliment,to hear that makes me very happy. I love doing these videos and more so the fact that you guys watch them is crazy....I LOVE the JMGO series and my cousin in law😂 just purchased the 1080 version and I agree...where does JMGO get this sorcery cause I have spent a ton more on other PJs that didn't come close to either of the JMGOs. As far as the Ezcoo goes, I am just running it through my cable box only as it really makes my hockey games pop but because the JMGO has no way to manually select and keep on the HDR setting the Ezcoo will not fully make LLDV work properly, still looks ok just not bang on. If you are able to pick up a cheap used HD FURY Arcana, it sends the HDR signal with the LLDV signal so you get a true LLDV picture and it is pretty stunning...thanks for watching, I appreciate that you do!

@@OlyGoalie67 Hey thanks for the response , Oly. I really do enjoy your JMGO vids, and would be lying if I didn't admit to your influence in my making the N1 purchase. (Great purchase BTW). I also have been very intrigued by JMGOs technology since the introduction of their triple laser lifestyle projector technology. And having made the plunge , I am a very satisfied customer. You've been saying for sometime how great they are, and seeing is certainly believing! My first night with it, I must have spent 6hours running thru my favorite sci-fi, action and 3D movie scenes , with my jaw to the ground and mind blown! The 3D is pretty awesome , the N1 even has presets that brighten the image more. The only issue with the N1, a minor one, is that its really best suited for light controlled rooms, although watchable in the daytime with blinds closed. But with an 800 lumens rating, I expected that much. No problem!

Sorry to hear that, I wish all projectors would have a forced HDR mode....would make things so much easier.

@@botr7 yes, the Fury has a force HDR metadata to include the HDR signal into what is sent to the projector 👍

@@OlyGoalie67 or what do you think by this splitter, a custom firmware will fix it?

@@botr7 it all depends if your display or projector has the ability to default or force on HDR mode, if it does, it will work fine.

So I have since learned that in order for this to work the way it was meant to, you have to be able to manually set the projector to HDR mode, if you can do that with the 3800 then it will display properly. It is actually showing LLDV, it just need the HDR to work properly. That is the difference in what the HDFURYs do is that they add HDR data to the signal so the projector stays in HDR mode. I hope that helps👍

@@OlyGoalie67 thanks a lot for the fast reply I just notice that on your description. My projector has two options under the HDR menu. One is dynamic range and signal status. This signal status I can change to hdr 10, auto, sdr and HLG. But when the projector received hdr signal you are able to switch the signal status otherwise the signal status still sdr. Is a bit confounding because for the Apple TV in other to have best picture quality you have to select 4k SDR and select match content to on so when the incoming signal to Apple TV is HDR it will HDR no matter you select SDR. I’m testing with my oppo 203 and PS5 i think the 8k vroom is good for gaming since it has vrr and ALLM. This is a learning curve for sure I will still playing around wit this device. Thanks!

Thanks D, I appreciate the feedback. There was a time where my volume was too high and then I switched to a lapel mic which was even louder. Well it does affect your signal from a cable box for example...when watching hockey there is an increase in pop and color giving it a much more full experience making it more enjoyable to watch.

I wish I had more to input on your question as I really only use it as an in from my receiver (for all devices coming out) to the single HDMI out to my projector and it works as it should for that. I'm afraid it doesn't look like it is happening...JMGO has made it very clear they do not care about updating the software or paying the licensing fee to allow for Dolby Vision...sorry.

@@OlyGoalie67 seriously? Wow. I ran into the Dolby Vision issue when I tried to connect a Roku Ultra to it. It fails the DV test and shows it can only do 4K HDR10. The other issue that I have is that many of the internal apps will not output Dolby Atmos content. The projector instead plays it as Dolby 5.1. I realize that the JMGO did not license Atmos but the project should allow its internal apps to pass the Atmos sound format through without modification for an another device to handle(such as an audio extractor). If I use an external streaming player such as a firestick, Atmos content will play in the right form. Any update on JMGO addition of Atmos in general?

I did not find that whatsoever but I am not an espresso specialist...issue with the unit perhaps?

It's neither perforated or a weave...the best thing I can compare it to is a ALR material more like nylon in a sense but not the same. Truly, I don't know what the material is I just know it has 100% removed all speckle and the colors pop and the contrast is even better on the N1 if you can even imagine it getting better...

@@OlyGoalie67 sir if you take a close look at the screen can you see any tiny perforations.

@@OlyGoalie67 then its a weave screen sir. How is the sound transparency via screen. Is it perfect . Are there any distortions.

I would say there has been no change but my old screen also partially covered the woofer section of my speakers and it was a vinyl type material so definitely blocked some of the sound. The decibel level using a basic app on my phone was very similar, maybe better on the Elite. As far as distortion, I could not hear any but I'm also 56 and do not hear like I did in my twenties 😂

That is the JMGO N1 Ultra and is the best combination I have ever used hands down... incredible!

Thanks for watching! I have my N1 12.5' from the screen and it fills a 150" screen with very little usage of the 'fit to screen' function so much less wasted pixels. No way to stream Netflix , at least in the right way without using a fire stick etc.

@@DanieleLanza I can with 100% certainty say you will not regret it...next to the amazement that I felt when I first turned on the N1, this screen has impressed me that much...

I would say that this screen gives you some of the benefits of an ALR but with absolutely no speckle whatsoever. My N1 is about 12.5' feet from the screen and I barely used any fit to screen feature as well so less wasted pixels. You can see on the thumbnail how good the screen looks with all the lights on in my home theatre which really took me by surprise as I wanted expecting that.

Thanks for watching and no problems, I drain the internal water basin and coffee bean holder every day or two and once a month pull out the grinder and let it sit in water for 10 or so minutes and no issues whatsoever !

And all I use is the oily, dark roast beans 👍

@@timdesoto3138thanks for watching Tim and until the next video...press and hold the power button to cycle off the power. Once that is complete, slide out the tray and push in the two red buttons and the grinder will simply pull out. Let it soak for 10 to 15 mins in cold water and your good to go!
