Glad to see an update. I'm still contemplating, if I should get an N1 Ultra, to upgrade from my Epson 5030ub, which I bought in 2020, second hand. Was also looking at the Epson 3800, as I'm not looking to spend the money for the 5050ub. Not sure if you realized, but you video is only in 480p.
Thanks for watching....still being processed and as it is a long video it takes a while to get up to 4k quality...trust me, you will absolutely not be disappointed...the difference between the 5050 UB was huge, the 5030 will be astronomical 😀
Hi, great review! Ive had this projector for about 4 months now and are really happy with it, have you done any custom picture setup or use one of the standard modes?
You know, when I first got it I played around with brightness levels etc but in the end I am pretty much stock settings with the brightness level between 8-9 depending on what I am watching. It is pretty dialed in straight out of the box.
New sub after watching your SofaBaton X1 and U2 review videos.... I don't know if it's just me but, the volume on your videos seems low. Especially this one!!!! I'm watching this video on a Dell laptop using Chrome - everything is updated and My laptop is a workhorse less than 1 year old,( I do CAD and 3D printing etc. on it). The volume is up all the way, and I wish I could turn it up louder! If I click a different TH-cam video ( Not yours ) and turn it up, my wife will tell me to turn it down - LOL. I'm a Firefighter going on +20 years and my hearing is not like it was 10 years ago with sirens inside the cab etc.. I don't need hearing aids yet but, just wondering about your volume after watching 5 videos from your channel. Not complaining, I like your work. Keep it up! Just wondering if no one has mentioned this.
Thanks D, I appreciate the feedback. There was a time where my volume was too high and then I switched to a lapel mic which was even louder. Just finished the weathering and next is the decals then my 'finished' video...it was way less scary then I thought it would be and turned out pretty amazing. Stay tuned for the new video👍

Thanks for watching! I have my N1 12.5' from the screen and it fills a 150" screen with very little usage of the 'fit to screen' function so much less wasted pixels. No way to stream Netflix , at least in the right way without using a fire stick etc.

Oly, your videos are very good. I find your observation very good and striking that you have had Epson 5030 and 5050 and consider this one to be better. I have had an Epson 4010 that I thought was excellent but I sold it. I know it's a complex question, but why do you consider this game superior to the Epson ones? On the other hand, have you had the opportunity to consider purchasing the new jmgo 02 ultra, ultra short projector? They comment that in several aspects they have revolutionized this type of projectors. Taking advantage of this comment, what do you think of the projectors with the normal throw ones? Thank you for the kind words and for watching. I have tried many projectors since the Epson 5050UB. I wanted to get away from the bulb and go solid state with the triple laser. I had tried Xgimi, Benq, Dangbei, LG and many more and luck would have it I came upon the JMGO N1 ULTRA via Kickstarter. I even grew impatient with the process and cancelled my Kickstarter. I regret that as I re bought in later at the more expensive price. I am glad I did though as absolutely nothing comes close to this projector. As far as short throw goes, I did try a Hisense and I just couldn't get the image square and the projector mounted properly. My home theatre was already set up for long throw so I stuck with that. Keep an eye out for June 6th when my newest review comes out on a brand new JMGO product even better than the N1!
I purchased it through the Kickstarter campaign when it first started. That price on Vivid storm is decent...its on Amazon.ca but at $3099 so VS price is fair and reasonable. That is where I would buy it if I was buying today...Vividstorm that is. I use the Carl's Place Flexi White material...it is great material for a reasonable price and they can also ship it rolled so it doesn't come folded and wrinkled...I have been very happy with it and as mentioned in the video, may be increasing my screen size using that same material.
The N1 Pro is also an amazing machine to be honest. I have a cousin in law 😂 who also uses that model and is also very happy with it. A little less in the brightness level and not 4k upscale otherwise still an amazing unit and I hope you keep enjoying it and thanks for watching👍
Why are you setting your volume so low? I have to max my sound level to hear your clearly and then when the commercials come up, they blast my eardrums. Please raise the sound level setting when you record to avoid this problem.
I agree that as today 1/28/2024 the JMGO N1 Ultra is the best bang for the money 4K projector, I have try lots of the others mention here and even buy them and return them and I kept the N1 Ultra. I bought an Arcana 2 because although we have all ask JMGO to activate the Dolby Vision I don’t think they will ever do and I can see the LL Dolby Vision from it which is very good. I did think the Google software that comes with is kind of slow which that’s why I use my Apple TV attached to it.
It is sad that JMGO didn't want to pay the money to activate the license so that we could run Dolby Vision but I guess it is what it is sadly. I can see that feature on the N2 Ultra perhaps but even though,who knows. As you said, this is still the best bang for your buck of any projector ever output there when comparing dollars for value...nothing beats it.
@@rafaelpires4300 I did ordered a C1 Pro previous to order the JMGO N1 Ultra and it was too dim for my taste, not enough brightness for my 125" screen.

It's there for sure but not very noticeable in my set up and certainly nowhere near anything that would ever make me reconsider...all in all the best projector I have ever used without question.

Have you heard about this design refresh, Oly? Apart from the Amazon page and the JmGo official webpage I can't find anything about it... OR... maybe the MTK9679 version isn't new at all and they've just started selling it here? The previous MTK9669-based model is the only one I could previously find and it's still for sale.

That is to light block any extra light but I have since removed it as I don't think it really did much.

I do have a little bit of it but it doesn't even bother me anymore as it does not affect the picture in any way....I rarely ever notice it anyways.

I do really like my N1 Ultra, but I'm yet to get 3D to work. Frame packing makes it exit 3D mode. Has anyone else had this?
3d works for me but I have only tested with a Blu-ray player and I have to manually select FP and it looks amazing...

Have you tested the c1 pro? Our reviews are better than the N1 Ultra.

Does it have rainbow effect like any other DLP?
It's there for sure but not very noticeable in my set up and certainly nowhere near anything that would ever make me reconsider...all in all the best projector I have ever used without question.
12:36 Can I see 3 dead pixels? Or is that your camera's pixels?
Think it was just a glitch or edit or something as they are not there in any other videos or on my camera son that's a weird one for sure!
