How do you keep the basket from moving when trying to take out the bolt
Could a use a portable steam cleaner to clean the barrel under the agitator ?
What size socket did you use? None of mine fit!
is it normal, the water stuck inside?
@@bryanvasquez7971 not particularly.. It's excessive water, I'd check that the washer is level, the drain hose isn't kinked or clogged and that the drain pump is working effectively.. I have replaced this washer dryer set with a different make and model but before that, the drain pump impellar broke off in the pump.
This was so helpful. Thank you!!
So is it ok to run a wash cycle with the agitator out of the machine? Just to get it cleaner like you said
I don't spin my washer please
Bro take this down
Thank you so much for this video. It helps me a lot. I love to be doing DIY myself at home.
Great help! Thanks!
Great video. Exactly what I needed. 👍🏾
Can I leave the cover and boot off and run a cycle to clean? Or will that damage the unit? I see water down there.
I have a similar model to this machine and I have been trying for a few years to figure out where the lint trap is located. Thank you for your video!
Thanks because the self-clean 0is not getting rid of the musty clothes smell.
When I try to remove that 10mm center bolt, the entire tub rotates freely and I have no resistance to push against. How did yours com off so easily without the tub rotating? Is there a brake setting on the washer?
Excellent video, for the exact model of top-loading Samsung I own. My machine has been depositing black "spots" of slime on clean, light colored clothes coming out of the wash. When you go to scrape them off they smudge into the fabrics and make the staining WORSE! So the first clue is that these "clots" seem to be deposited on the clothes/sheets in the rinse cycle, and after all clothing is removed after the wash cycle ends, I find more of them all over the bottom of the tub. So obviously the drum is riddled with this sludge, and pieces of it break off into the wash/rinse water during the cycles, making clean clothes dirty. So I will be tackling this following your steps in taking it apart to get under the metal surfaces to scrub.
Did this help you? I have the exact issue you described!
@@gennamalizia4997 Good luck, I could NOT loosen the bolt the holds the bttom pan down. When I try to turn it, the whole drum spins! And I can't get a solid hold of the smooth metal against the effort to turn the bolt counter-clockwise. INstead, I did three intensive citric-acid washes (with nothing in the wahser but hot water). I put the citric acid powder and a big scoop of oxi-clean in the drum, then run the self-clean cycle, and when it gets filled up, I PAUSE the washer, and fill another two gallons of boiling water. Then I use a huge spoon to swish the water throughout the drum, and let it sit for an hour, then I allow the washer to RESUME it's self-cleaning cycles. After the thrid time doing this, the slime deposits stopped appearing, so I guess I got rid of most of it. BUT, if it ever appears again I am committed to hiring a Samsung tech to come and remove the steel drum so that we can scrub the whole tub out. It's estimated to cost $350, but that's half of what a new washer costs.
Hey, did that replacement work?
@@ufclegend3040 yes check engine light has been off for several years now.
Hey there, really love the video. You are the only person that has explained it and actually gave right information now I just got this exact washer. Used and clearly they did not clean this at all and I just found out from watching videos before I got to yours and then I got to yours and I was like oh my gosh this is the best one yet. Well, I’m having an issue with the first bolt to clean inside it’s not coming loose at all. I may be doing something wrong. I actually recently became a single mother with the last couple days my husband, you know I would like to call him for help but we’re not speaking right now, but that’s on another note if anyone or yourself can give me any tips or tools, I could be the wrong ones but I do believe I have some more to the ones that you’re actually using in the video. I feel like I’m turning the same way you are, but it’s not coming loose at all. It’s very hard to turn left or right, please help me as soon as possible. I’m trying to clean this As I’m typing this comment. Thank you and hope to receive some feed back very soon
Man this is crazy. I've followed everyone's steps and mine refuse to come off. I took the bolt completely out and put back in just a bit. Nothing. Won't budge. Must be some serious buildup.
Thanks mate , can you lube the the tub bearing from there once it’s out .. bit of lanolin spray or something similar
Can’t seem to lift it even with the bolt half way in 😢
Man you are a life saver and omg...there is so much crap in there....under than metal plate I stuck my fingers under and just has so much gunk.... 😂
Ok so how do u clean the part u took out ?
Thanks. Exactly what i was looking for!! 👍
Where did you get that hood bro niiice
Made my life easier, opened up my Top Load Samsung Washer in Minutes
Don’t use liquid fabric softener it doesn’t break down and will build & cake up under the agitator..use sheets in the dryer instead …Trust Me
Did this yesterday, so easy! For a mom like me rhat likes to get in all the nooks and crannies I was relieved when I was able to do this and saw minimum build up. I keep the lid open although my husband hates it. Use minimum detergent and always use vinegar, baking soda and borax in my washes. I self clean with all 3 and add citric acid, I do this for my dishwasher too.
Me looking for my husband’s tool box so I can do this!!! 😅 could you show how to put it back together pls
I run my Samsu😮ng washer on self clean cycle with a afresh tablet, I fill the tub all the way up with hot water with a bucket it worked to remove odor
Putting the bolt half way back on was a brilliant move! Thanks very much.
It has a self clean i find works well. I havent taken the bottom off but i add capful of white vinegar in the clean cycle or with my clothes. I wash the barrel
I love modding my car dont get me wrong but bro cmon this thing doesnt even have power windows, locks or mirrors and you put expensive mods on it. WHy not at least try and upgrade the doors or something?
@@SilentShadow-ss5xp I like having no power options lol.
I did exactly what you said and still have the issue. I am thinking Is the clunk in between the aluminum agitator and the plastic attachment. 😭 I self cleaned and drop some bleach. Next wash will be heavy duty with bleach.
He easiest way to test the tank ventilation valve is through the hose connected to the evaporator valve? The panel does not report any errors.
I have a 2015 Dodge/Journey AWD and I'm having problems refueling, the fuel pump keeps tripping and it takes a long time to fill the tank. I already changed the purge valve (canister) and it didn't solve the problem. Could my supply problem be with this evaporator valve?
Probably not. On top of the tank is a vent valve it is probably clogged creating pressure in the tank when filling.
I'd take the large hose off of the ESIM.. It should go to the tank through the vent valve, try to blow air through it if you hear air in the tank should mean the valve isn't clogged but if not there is a restriction I'd think.
Didn’t know this… had it for 7 years… wish me luck 😷 🤢
Talking way too much..get to the info
How did you do the paddle shifters?
Got the back housing and paddles from ebay and replaced the clockspring with a paddleshifter optioned clockspring.. All of the dash wiring is already there.
Thank you my friend. I also went through the gascap and the purge valve so I knew I had to work my way through the evap system. THANKS for the video!!
After taking the screw out I couldn’t get the lid off
Thank you for the video very helpful. Wish I’d known this sooner and not six years later. Now I have gook all over my white linen sheets 🧐😡😡😡😡
You just talked a lot just show us how to clean the machine
Good video but just 2 easy steps dragged over 13 minutes
bought mine last month working on it on my channel hope to see more of yours videos.
Cool. I subscribed.
Any comments on running a clean cycle with the agitator disc out? Then cleaning the disc and re installing?
What is a little cap called over the agitator
Samsung lists it as the pulsator cap.
Thank you for posting this video. I've also replaced the other 2 parts you mentioned, and I'm really hoping this does the trick.
My pulsator is significantly stuck to the drive shaft!!! Can I use WD-40 or olive oil or similar to get it loose? I've tapped and pried... Obviously, I don't want to introduce clothes staining, but cannot get it out (without damaging the pulsator, I fear).
Thank you , for all the details how to clean 👏👏👏👏
