i think about this family time to time and i think i would not be able to get over the mom guilt if i were her. never would i want to watch my children sleep on the floor

To me, as someone who used to watch her vlogs and LOVE them has nothing to do with the fact that she is famous and rich now; in fact I was happy in the beginning when it was all happening, the reason why I do not watch her vlogs anymore is because of her getting deeper into Hollywood. After that, Emma, who felt TO ME like a girl who is in to the thick of the Hollywood but still away from the dirt of the Hollywood, completely changed. Now she is a part of that dirt, and it has already started getting to her. She is a person who I saw as someone with ethics and morals sorta of a rebel who would not give in to the dirt but did give in eventually. And that is the part that made me stop watching her vlogs.

Nurse Hannah is a great example because I watched it unfold from the very beginning and checked out from how genuinely, horrifically, psychologically awful she is to her 3 year old child. She’s the exact opposite to Stephanie, but they make the same exact content where they try to make themselves seem loving and perfect. And in both cases, they are neglecting their children to put their own comfort and content above them. But Nurse Hannah actively advertises abuse her abuse, where Stephanie tries to excuse away any neglect as not existing. Nurse Hannah excuses it as harsh parenting. Ultimately though, I think Nurse Hannah is a mother that does not want to be a mother, but decided very early on to be one and it kind of impossible to get out of that life track where she’s at. She’s 23, which I mean idk I’m 22 I find that very young to have a child at 20, and she’s very religious, Mormon specifically, and lets that guide her parenting style publically. She’s just startlingly similar to how ruby franke would’ve looked when she was only two kids in. People’s complaints don’t center on her house at all, but she didn’t want to pay $30 for a coat in winter for her kid, even though she had the money (she spent $70 on uber eats in the same week). She also often doesn’t feed her child and he often doesn’t even have a plate. Like, some of the videos make me genuinely sick to watch to that kid is just SAD. Compared to all that, Stephanie has a much better position to come back from, since she feeds her kids and don’t blanket train them (from our knowledge). If* no other scandal comes up, moving into even two- bedrooms would make them look genuinely so much better in the eyes of the public (and CPS). I just think it’s a bit pathetic for them to rely on TikTok clout to get their kids a bigger house, especially when that means the kids are signing up to make content for TikTok basically, since that seems to be their main income source. Like, the kids are kind of paying rent?? But ultimately, Stephanie seems like she actively wants to be a mother, but is not in the place to do so. Nurse Hannah has the means to do so, but seems to genuinely hate her child. I think it’s just interesting how exactly opposite their situations are, despite them making nearly identical content making their kids food and cleaning their kitchens.

I love listening her podcasts, hearing someone just talking about stuff is also satisfying. Some episodes I miss because the topic is uncomfortable, but overall she's great at talking. And also a normal human being trying to figure out the thing called life. This normality you can't fake, it's just within her. Love her.

The other day, this nice dad-aged man who goes to my local YMCA asked me why I don't have a family. He said that it was important to get out of the house and start a family. I'm 32, and I live with my brother in my home. I know that this man was being nice; I understand that it's just his values and he's encouraging it because in his mind that's one of the most important things. He was super receptive when I explained to him that some people make babies and some people make art, plenty of people do both, but I'm just an artist. Also I have like 17 nieces and nephews. I have 11 siblings. We're doing fine. If I wanted to be more of a paternal figure, I would make more of an effort to participate in their lives as an uncle. Just thought I'd share.

Wild that you made a video on this topic when only very recently my friend started writing a play all about this! I don't want kids, many reasons, and we chatted back and forth about our reasons, and so many of the things we spoke about, you also mentioned. Tossing up the pros and cons of having kids rather than straight-up procreating seems to be an incredibly universal experience!

Personally im not having kids because I see those people with like 6 kids and go "thats too many i dont need to bring my own into the world too" and I know the shit i had to deal with growing up (nothing bad just health issues) and i dont wanna make anyone else deal with it

18:08 as much as I’d love to believe her, nobody defies the laws of thermodynamics. It is scientifically impossible to consume that many calories and maintain such a thin body! So either she’s spitting it out, or like you said, she only eats that way _very_ infrequently, but even then, you could blow a weekly maintenance calorie routine out with one of those spreads very easily!

most of these are harmless from what i know, given the fact it became public knowledge that tik tok might not get banned for real near the 19th i just think some of these creators saw a new trend to throw their hats in on and get views, which worked for the most part.

19:06 being brutally honest here, my binge eating disorder and I can absolutely 1000% put away food like that no problem. I would gain weight like crazy, but I could eat that in one sitting without even hesitating. Obviously I don’t eat like that, it’s a nonstop 24/7 and 365 constant struggle to restrain myself and the only time my brain is quiet about food is at the gym. But I have put away amounts of food like that and still could. And then go back for more. So the amount of food doesn’t surprise me, the lack of gaining crazy weight leads me to believe she doesn’t eat for several days before filming (like some mukbangers have admitted to doing). Or, ya know, it’s fake.

Content creation is entertainment. And entertainment stretches the truth and reality all the time. It's like movies, most movies that aren't solely set in a real setting stretch little and big things about reality. For example, someone jumping out of the window, in real life, you can't do it ( without severely hurting yourself). But in a movie it's cool and it's exciting. Most content creators put on an exciting persona, and they do exciting things to entertain the audience. Which I don't think is the issue in itself it's basically acting. It's only an issue when they try to make it out that they actually do this and it's especially worse when they try to push a product on to you and say if you buy this you'll be just like me.

The main point to this whole TikTok trend: all influencers lie in some degree. Sometimes about small things and sometimes about big things. We as consumers of the content should be aware of it and be critical when taking inspiration from their “lives” because what is shown can be different to what actually is.

As an OG employee, I can assure you, she doesn't eat all that food. What she showed is at least 2k calories. It would have to be the only thing she eats all day.

i can understand some peoples anger, because i think for them, tiktok is THE app for authenticity. and i think this mainly applies to younger teenagers and children who have yet to fully understand the signs for something that's fake in short formed content 😭😭😭 i think if i was 13 and very invested in squishmallows, id be so hurt by that squishmallow guy turning out to be fake. like he's probably given alot of false hope that its soooooo easy to find that rare squishmallow youve always wanted!!!! and from what ive seen, his videos are "silly goofy" in a way that probably does make him feel like a friend to these kids. so you have no reason not to trust him and to view this as authentic!!! i personally think it should be required to state when something is fabricated/exaggerated, just for younger kids who don't understand entertainment purposes 😭
