Oh man, I just finished the whole film. Kind of late to be honest, yet I did it. And I was having goosebumps for at least the final minute until you crossed the finish line. I'm 18 years old, and currently in the distances of 40 - 50kms. Last November I completed my first trail marathon and I felt as exactly as you did. Completing a dream that was there for too long. Now I'm hoping to continue training and some day go run in du Mont Blanc, Idk if 170km will fit me, but 100km seems not so impossible, and it is slowly becoming my new dream. I just wanted to write this, to tell you that I'm happy for your accomplishment, and that you really inspired me to continue pushing to create a new dream. That feeling of actually crushing your long desired goal, after many looses is just amazing. You might not read this, but thank you.

Great video. I DNFed Kodiak 100 in 2019. It was the first time they had a night start and my first experience with Siberia Creek. That was epic 🙂 Got injured and I am slowly building back up. Now I definitely had unfinished business!

The reason younger rattlesnakes are more dangerous is that they're not as good at regulating their venom. They don't want to waste venom on you if they can avoid it. They will usually try to dry-strike.

Quality mate! I have a VERY similiar story, in August 2020 I summited the Matterhorn on a Friday, stayed in the hornlihutte as a treat on Friday night, then on Saturday I experienced the Ultraks weekend in Zermatt and let me tell you, I was extremely jealous! (I was already a runner) but I hadn't ran any ultras or even trail races at this point, just the occasional flat trail back in England! So of course I entered the Mountain Ultraks in 2021 (you may remember me chatting to you before about it), i have done it again in 2023 and this year also, I have unfinished business there!

Your video are amazing, when you mention about the stars looking down it got me, 😢 you inspire me to keep pushing… the whole 50 mins I was pushing on the treadmill. Every-time you where on a hill I put the incline up, that’s on my bucket list.. Hope you have a speedy recovery. 👍🏼
