Northeast Tennessee is Morristown, Rogersville, Kingsport, Greeneville, Johnson City, Bristol and etc. You will be highly disappointed if you move to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Or Nashville. There is a lot of crime. And I am a native Tennesseean

I can understand how Townsend would make number one on this list! Whenever we make a trip to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg for a few days, we all ways like to go to Townsend to unwind from the traffic for a few hours.

Be very careful where you move; many areas are very unfriendly, to downright hateful. I suggest you avoid any rural area, which then puts you in an urban or suburban area. Avoid west TN. Speaking from experience, sadly.

Please move to middle Tennessee, from an East Tennessean.

Tennessee is the worst lady bugs fill the house poor road infrastructure. Biker gangs run rampant in the streets . My house was hit by tornado’s 3 times last year. Perhaps a sanctuary city in California or New York would be a better fit .😂

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. If you move to Tennessee, pick a smaller town with a short drive to a larger city. We have everything you would ever want or need here. Just don't bring your politics with you. That's what's causing you to want to leave where you are now.

I love the bathroom floors, but those super plain kitchen cabinets made me sad. A shaker cabinet would have still been sleek but matched the time period of the house more! Glad they also kept the door handles tho. Thanks for the tour!

Tennessee... we're full. No vacancy. It's the worst. Totally don't move here. The grass ain't greener here. Things ain't cheaper. People ain't nicer. I've hated living here for the past 25 years. I just can't get find a way out. I'm trapped. The crazy rednecks are holding me hostage with their Southern charm and down to earth values. My kids have too many outdoor opportunities and options for education. Seriously. Tennessee. ugh.

Those apartment rentals are low. $1000-1200 were base rental prices back in 2018. Those were base excluding the fees added a month to the rent.

My boyfriend bought a 900 sq ft condo with HOA 3 years ago. The condo is not in a great area of town and there's not really anything there for HOA to improve. Just a small patch of grass. No gates and no security whatsoever. Anywho, he only paid a couple times at the very beginning. They have never sent him any bills or notices. Recently he sent a single month's payment ($160/month) into the main office to see what would happen.. The check didn't go through which I thought was weird. I don't trust the mean, shady lady that owns the property and manages the HOA (she took his bike and a giant ceramic vase both sitting outside of his condo) and I am afraid that she is intentionally letting big fees build up to the point where he can't pay it and then she will quickly put a lien on the condo. He is already getting quotes to renovate it and rent it out and I am insisting that he get these fees settled first. Are my instincts correct?
