Have 9 email accounts, social media, pctures, videos, calls, AI, Maps and 5G...start 8am at 100% and at 11 pm at 20% battery level...Amazing. the screen in broad daylight is incredible can see clearly in full sunshine with 3k its. You say 8k video a gimmick? The quality is unbelievably incredible. Reimagine app I USE to reimagine customer cars with new paint jobs ...does it so well. Also Gemini Advanced LIVE for a free flow conversation used in a recent trip with 3 different languages! Also use Gemini to summarize my unread emails, YT videos, recipes after uploading picture what is inside fridge. So easy to say Gimmicky this and that because you just have not learned to use the tools.
@@rico4you Sadly a lot of those things you mention are for the PAID version of Gemini. Not the base version. Summarizing emails and such is useful. I never said the other features were gimmicky just 8k video which is 100% gimmicky. As a full time producer and videographer I can tell you for fact that 8k phone footage is unnecessarily gimmicky at its current state. Video boost as well. Just use the internal footage. No need for upscaling and all that jazz. I think you’re stretching my gimmicky statement far beyond what I actually said here.

I traded my Pixel 7 Pro for the 8 Pro 4 months ago, but I'm not liking the 8 because it's gets hot easily and is a scratch magnet, even with an Otter Box Defender case is getting scratched. Thinking about trading it for the 9 Pro but I'm not sure I trust the consistency of quality in Pixel phones anymore, no one mentions overheating in review videos for the 9 Pro so I guess that's not an issue right?
Google are definitely finally doing things right with their Pixel lineup. I know the popular thing to do is complain about Tensor but for regular use the processor is great for day to day stuff.

As a “former” iPhone user since their introduction, still have my first iPhone (the original version) tucked away in a drawer, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is by far my favorite phone of them all. Over the years I tried many different android phones but never got away from iPhones. iMessage, FaceTime, Find my friends and battery life always pulled me back to the iPhone. Now, since iOS 18 has implemented RCS in messaging, the shortcomings of cross platform messaging is eliminated for me. FaceTime integration with an iPhone is easily substituted with Google Meet on a Pixel. Find my friends that I used with family members is replaced with location sharing in Google Maps. Lastly, battery life with an iPhone is usually pretty good, especially standby time. For me in my use, the Pixel Pro 9 XL has been equal, if not exceeds, the iPhone it replaced. Most importantly for me, all the software features make the phone so helpful and easy to use. The call features are game changers for me, call spam protection, direct my call, hold for me, call notes, answering without touching the phone and native visual voicemail in the phone app. The camera and photo editing tools are amazing. So many helpful software features, too many to lists here. I came from an iPhone 13 Pro Max and had reached a point with iPhones where I felt like each new iPhone was like buying my old iPhone again. I recently purchased an S24 Ultra, traded it for the Pixel, and while it is a very good phone it wasn’t for me. For me, the Pixel 9 Pro XL feels familiar to me like the iPhone but better in so many ways from the added software features to just the fun to use factor, new and innovative. Coming from a retired senior who has specific wants and doesn’t want to compromise with imperfect workarounds, the Pixel 9 Pro XL checks all the boxes for me. I can’t recommend it enough. Now if I could just pry the iPhone out of my wife’s hand and get her to switch life would be great, lol.

The iPhone 16 pro series actually went to slightly more polished chasses again. At least more so than on the 15 Pro series. I do miss the look of the polished stainless steel and prefer the look of the Pixel to the iPhone because of those polished edges.
The photos on the pixel are the best you can get on a phone and the 8k video boost also makes it the best video on a phone the 8k on the pixel is better than the samsung 8k
Are you sure that we are not there yet as far as a need or an urgency to use AI in a more effective form? People are on their phones all day long while death scrolling, how much extra energy would it take to learn how to use imaginative features like the AI like reimagine like pixel studio? Those features are designed to stop people from death scrolling.
@@chillywill95831 Unlikely. Coming from a background in software integration I can tell you that people don’t like to learn new things unless they have to. Even then it’s a struggle. AI is easy to use, and I credit Google for making it so and accessible right at your fingertips. But again- if you don’t learn how to ask the right questions it’ll never be useful. And learning how to is time consuming and right now, it’s not a necessity to learn outside very basic prompts that are closer to search questions than anything else. Everyone “knows” how to use it or what it is, but not everyone uses it consistently. There’s no urgency to learn how to use AI. It’s a tool, but not yet a necessity. Think back when Google Search launched. We learned it in school but that doesn’t mean we used it for every question we had. We used books primarily. It took YEARS for Googling and online searching to be truly commonplace. AI is not yet commonplace in that sense.

I returned my iPixel 9 Pro after two weeks. I got tired of the freezing, slow charging, the stutter, the battery drain due to the phone getting hot while listening to TH-cam music of all things🤷 Downloading Bleach Brave Souls took forever so I just uninstalled it after 10 minutes plus I could feel the heat through the display. I know my phone wasn't a lemon cause the lady who bought her Pixel 9 the same day as me returned hers two days before I returned mine...these phones just suck. Almost forgot to mention how slow taking photos is since everything on this phone needs time to process through Google servers especially the Ai junk.

Have you tried vivo x100 pro or ultra or even xiaomi 14 ultra ? If not, then pixel is not the best in photography at all.
