@@tatkaps4642 Road5s are superior to any of the Indian manufacturer tyres like H1, Steel Brace, Protorq Extreme or TraceRad. 2022 is an old tyre. Don't get it. Within a year is acceptable. TraceRad are NOT for off road. It will skid and slip. It's 100% road only tyre.

Hi bro, I ride a 2023 Gixxer SF 250 with stock MRF Revz C tyres. I’ve clocked 12k kms on it and mainly use it for commuting and weekend rides. I’m an aggressive rider and often push my bike to its limits. I’m torn between Reise Tracerad and Apollo H1 tyres. Could you help me choose the right one?
@@sankeerthana3544 I'd recommend the TraceRad. It grips better than the Apollo Alpha H1 and handles better too. Can get under 11000₹.
Brother I have a ninja 250r and the rolon brass chain sprocket costs 10-11k for it but I checked and ninja 250r and r3 have the same front and rear sprocket size 14t and 43t respectively, the only difference is r3 chain has 112 links and 250r chain has 106 links so I was thinking if I buy r3 chain and sprocket and remove 6 links will that be okay because I'll be saving almost 50 percent by doing so, theoretically it should work

cons of putting a 150 section tyre on R3 ?
@@animeshswain2487 Hey, tyre height will reduce little bit. You can use free tyre height calculators online and check for 140 vs 150. Speedo error will increase. In terms of pure grip how does this compare to the steel brace and TVS? Im running the steel brace on my duke 200 and am expecting to change tyres in another 2-3k. Iv heard mixed opinions about the TVS and cant find dealers do considering the Reise tyres as they are almost 4k cheaper than the mrfs and tvs. Im looking for a tyre that i can do a few track days on so will choose the one that provides the most raw grip irrespective of life
I'd highly recommend the TVS Protorq Extreme tyres. It's a great combination of grip + superior handling.
@@HighwayToHill Does the TVS really warrant a premium of 4k over Reise or MRF? Finding a dealer is hard so id rather get something easier to find
@@vaibhavmugulavalli3366 I got TVS for around 12 K. It's not that expensive. Alternate is Reise TraceRad. It's quite close to the Protorq Extreme. Dealers are pushing for Reise and you can get for 11 K set.

Also which will be more better in terms of grip and lasts long ?? I am confused between tracerad and alpha h1
@ Hey, you can't have grip and long life also at the same time. If you want more grip, the tyre needs to be softer. Softer tyre don't last long. If you want long life, the tyre can't be too soft. You can't get everything in one tyre. Apollo H1 can give you close to 15000 kms on a bike with 30 Nm of torque and 40 bhp. Grip is good. I don't know how long TraceRad will last. I'm currently at 6000 kms.

Hey buddy, finally found a channel for my current situation also from chennai. Great to know that someone near me is doing all these help. I have completed 25K on my ninja 300 with my stock mrf rubbers. Now am planning to change the rubbers. I am confused between Alpha H1 and Tvs eurogrip protorque extreme. My preference is decent grip and life and not to impact the milege also. Can you suggest one for me ? I am also planning to retain the stock tyre size. 110/70 and 140/70 not planning to upgrade 150/60. I ride 500kms per week. City mostly.

@@roshanr6863 Yea, I'm in the WhatsApp R3OG group. Let's connect.
I want a tyre for fz25. I ride mostly inside the city in Bangalore. A lot of construction work is going on and the roads are filled with potholes and gravels at places. But i also want a tyre that gives me good cornering confidence for occasional fun. I had earlier narrowed down on the apollo h1s but reviews said that they easily lose grip on cemented or gravel surfaces. Could you suggest me a tyre that performs well in all situations - dry road, wet roads, gravels and cemented roads and does not have very short life. About 10-12K life would work. Just for reference my stock mrf nylogrip (non radial) lastest for 18K kms. PS: i will change both the tyres
@@MadDriver_0509 Hey... H1 are 100 % road based tyres. Please look at Tramplr XR and ST by Apollo. These have a balance of 70:30 and 80:20 road vs off road.
@ But I want good cornering too! Both in the dry and wet
@@MadDriver_0509 I'm not sure about cornering... Honestly I haven't used the Tramplr tyres but I know folks you have used it on R3. Obviously you can't expect cornering compared to a 100% road biased tyres. So some compromise will be there.
@@HighwayToHill appreciate your reply! So if I want something that has the best mix of all these (cornering, wet grip, does not skid on gravel) what would you suggest?
@@MadDriver_0509 Apollo Alpha H1, TVS Protorq Extreme, MRF Steel Brace and Reise TraceRad will not perform in gravel at all. They are not made for it. You have to look at Tramplr XR or ST type of tyres. A tyre can't do everything bro.
Please provide a link for these tyres brother
@@niteshhchoudhary Go to the website www dot reisemoto dot com. You can find the tyres there. Search for TraceRad.

@HighwayToHill thanks buddy it was really helpful

@@sweekar9829 I couldn't find the exact weight but most steel radials are same weight. Around 4.5 to 5 kgs. Won't be a lot of difference.
As always thanks for sharing your experience👍 Man i was thinking of swapping to mrf steel brace when the time comes. But 8k kms is damn low considering other manufacturers last longer, this is very disappointing to know. How was your experience with steel brace from 5 to 8k? And what made you change at 8k was the tyre completely worn? I am reluctant to use tvs since i have had multiple bad experience with tvs as a brand. Be it their vehicles or their tyre. But i might make an exception for pro torq, only time will tell😅 How is your R3 holding up close to 1lak km? Are you a member of teambhp? If not i would suggest you to join.
Steel Brace wasn't completely worn out and you could extract another 1000 kms in city conditions riding under 100 kmph. But I was on highway with luggage and cruise at around 120 so didn't feel too confident. And I was going to pass small towns so though that I better change the tyres while I was in city to be safe. Yea TVS after sales is not that great and even tyre dealers told me that. It was difficult to even get the tyre in Chennai. I ordered online and got installed. R3 is in great condition! Still as smooth and I just did 5500 kms trip with no hiccups. So that's that proof of how it's doing Not on teambhp
@ do consider joining teambhp its a good place to share experience and gain knowledge.
Thanks 🙏🏼👍🏼
