Hiking 100km Alone - Overland Track
The Overland Track in Tasmania, Australia, is often considered one of the world's best multiday hikes. In early December of 2021 I completed the trail over five days and included side trips to Cradle Mountain, Mount Ossa, Mersey River Waterfalls & The Acropolis. With the main trail being immensely picturesque & relatively easygoing it's easy to why it's so highly regarded and such a popular hike.

Hiking 230km Solo in Australia - Larapinta Trail
มุมมอง 54K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In August 2021 I solo hiked the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory over 13 days. The hiking trail runs from Alice Springs to Redbank Gorge and is 230km in distance. Most people take 11-15 days to complete the trail and it is often considered one of the best hiking trails in the world. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Where I Hiked▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Day 1 - www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/larapinta-section-1-c88d8d0?u=m...
Australia’s Most Remote Hiking Trail - Three Days Alone
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park is one of the most iconic landscapes in Australia. Even though the park sees over 300 visitors a day during peak season only a handful of those choose to explore it's depths and hike the Piccaninny Creek Walk. Typically completed over 2-3 days, the trail weaves through the ancient landscape venturing deep into the Bungle Bungles. I'm usually not one...
Hiking 50km Alone in Central Australia - Giles Track
มุมมอง 5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In May I solo hiked the Giles Track in Central Australia. The trail is 22km, point to point and usually completed as an overnight hike. I spent two nights on the trail, arriving at Kathleen Springs late afternoon and chose a camp spot some ~5km in from the trail start/finish. The second day I hiked from dawn to dusk, venturing through the depths of Kings Canyon before setting up camp near a nat...

Hiking 65km of the Bibbulmun Track - Albany Highway to Dwellingup
มุมมอง 2.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In mid-May a mate and I hiked a 65km section of the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia. We camped for two nights and unbeknown to us an 18km section of the trail was diverted due to a prescribed burn in the area. This meant we were forced to camp at a makeshift site for the first night & also saw us hiking along powerlines for a seemingly never-ending stretch. Overall I wasn’t a huge fan of t...

Hiking 35km Solo in Tasmania, Australia - Freycinet Circuit
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In February 2021 I solo hiked the Freycinet Circuit in Tasmania over three days. The trail is ~36km in distance and is one of the best hikes that I've done to date. It's got everything from pristine beach hiking to clambering atop of boulders for unreal views. On the first night I camped at Wineglass Bay Camp Site and on the second I stayed at Cook's Beach Camp Site. See the exact path I took; ...
Solo Hiking One of Tasmania's Best Hiking Trails - Walls of Jerusalem
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In late February I solo hiked what is considered one of Tasmania's best hiking trails. The Walls of Jerusalem is a multi day hiking trail which is generally advised to be completed over three or more days. I completed the trail over the course of two days and stayed at Dixon's Kingdom Campground for the night. On the first day I left the Walls of Jerusalem carpark before sunrise and made my way...
Solo Hiking Adventure in Outback Australia - Stirling Ranges

In the past I've climbed three out of a possible six mountains in the Stirling Ranges of Western Australia. With the Stirling Ranges being only a four and a half hour drive from Perth, I figured I was probably well overdue to knock out the remaining three. The peaks that I was yet to climb were Mount Magog, Mount Talyuberlup and Mount Hassell, although I decided on short notice to also climb ar...

Solo Hiking Frenchman's Cap in Tasmania is something I'd been planning to tackle since I've started hiking. The 50km trail is generally completed via multiday hiking and staying in the huts provided. On the first day I cover ~25km from Lyell Highway to Tahune Hut. The second day see's me summit Frenchman's Cap and return to Vera Hut (~15km). On the third I return back to the trail head from Ver...

I watched this pro hiker doing a thru hike and he was doing between min 30km to 60km daily and I was like NO FKN WAY, my feet would start talking if i walked more than 15/20km in a day and I'd be out for the rest of the week.😂 but this pace is more of what I would be able to do maybe.
