Hiking 100km Alone - Overland Track
The Overland Track in Tasmania, Australia, is often considered one of the world's best multiday hikes. In early December of 2021 I completed the trail over five days and included side trips to Cradle Mountain, Mount Ossa, Mersey River Waterfalls & The Acropolis. With the main trail being immensely picturesque & relatively easygoing it's easy to why it's so highly regarded and such a popular hike.

Hiking 230km Solo in Australia - Larapinta Trail
มุมมอง 54K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In August 2021 I solo hiked the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory over 13 days. The hiking trail runs from Alice Springs to Redbank Gorge and is 230km in distance. Most people take 11-15 days to complete the trail and it is often considered one of the best hiking trails in the world. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Where I Hiked▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Day 1 - www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/larapinta-section-1-c88d8d0?u=m...
Australia’s Most Remote Hiking Trail - Three Days Alone
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park is one of the most iconic landscapes in Australia. Even though the park sees over 300 visitors a day during peak season only a handful of those choose to explore it's depths and hike the Piccaninny Creek Walk. Typically completed over 2-3 days, the trail weaves through the ancient landscape venturing deep into the Bungle Bungles. I'm usually not one...
Hiking 50km Alone in Central Australia - Giles Track
มุมมอง 5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In May I solo hiked the Giles Track in Central Australia. The trail is 22km, point to point and usually completed as an overnight hike. I spent two nights on the trail, arriving at Kathleen Springs late afternoon and chose a camp spot some ~5km in from the trail start/finish. The second day I hiked from dawn to dusk, venturing through the depths of Kings Canyon before setting up camp near a nat...

Hiking 65km of the Bibbulmun Track - Albany Highway to Dwellingup
มุมมอง 2.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In mid-May a mate and I hiked a 65km section of the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia. We camped for two nights and unbeknown to us an 18km section of the trail was diverted due to a prescribed burn in the area. This meant we were forced to camp at a makeshift site for the first night & also saw us hiking along powerlines for a seemingly never-ending stretch. Overall I wasn’t a huge fan of t...

Hiking 35km Solo in Tasmania, Australia - Freycinet Circuit
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In February 2021 I solo hiked the Freycinet Circuit in Tasmania over three days. The trail is ~36km in distance and is one of the best hikes that I've done to date. It's got everything from pristine beach hiking to clambering atop of boulders for unreal views. On the first night I camped at Wineglass Bay Camp Site and on the second I stayed at Cook's Beach Camp Site. See the exact path I took; ...
Solo Hiking One of Tasmania's Best Hiking Trails - Walls of Jerusalem
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In late February I solo hiked what is considered one of Tasmania's best hiking trails. The Walls of Jerusalem is a multi day hiking trail which is generally advised to be completed over three or more days. I completed the trail over the course of two days and stayed at Dixon's Kingdom Campground for the night. On the first day I left the Walls of Jerusalem carpark before sunrise and made my way...
Solo Hiking Adventure in Outback Australia - Stirling Ranges
มุมมอง 5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In the past I've climbed three out of a possible six mountains in the Stirling Ranges of Western Australia. With the Stirling Ranges being only a four and a half hour drive from Perth, I figured I was probably well overdue to knock out the remaining three. The peaks that I was yet to climb were Mount Magog, Mount Talyuberlup and Mount Hassell, although I decided on short notice to also climb ar...
Solo Hiking One of Australia's Best Trails - Three Capes Track
มุมมอง 41K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In mid December I solo hiked one of Australia's best multi day hiking trails; The Three Capes Track. It consistently ranks as being one of Australia's best hiking trails and it's easy to see why. The track is 48km point-to-point and is completed over the course of 4 days with stunning scenery for the vast majority of it. Multiday Hiking 50 Kilometres in Tasmania - Solo Hiking Frenchman's Cap
มุมมอง 22K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Solo Hiking Frenchman's Cap in Tasmania is something I'd been planning to tackle since I've started hiking. The 50km trail is generally completed via multiday hiking and staying in the huts provided. On the first day I cover ~25km from Lyell Highway to Tahune Hut. The second day see's me summit Frenchman's Cap and return to Vera Hut (~15km). On the third I return back to the trail head from Ver...

Brilliant footage
My daughter and I walked this trail back in 2018. Absolutely beautiful. Great facilities. Memory foam mattresses. A lot easier than the Overland but still challenging ❤
Like the classical music playing in the background such as the Larapinta. Great videos! 👍
Can you do more videos like this please 🙏
Watching in 2024. Nice vid. What is the music please? Good sounds
Hi Josh but where is Tasmanian Deville you didnot shoot it?
Thank you,amazing 😊
Miss your vids mate.
Thanx for not adding any music to your video!
Love this Hike. Just found your channel today and bingeing all the vids. Sad to see the channel has gone quiet. Hope all is well, and would love to see some new content some time!
Bloody awesome Josh. Was thinking the same... is it worth the time & money for Giles alone but like your thinking on adding Ularu and Kata Tjuta. Now on my bucket list.
Hope you're doing well these days man. Miss seeing your hiking adventures but rewatch beauties like this on the regular, all the best with what's keeping you busy & hopefully happy!
What a special place. Thank you for this special video.
The music is beautiful, and the scenery is also beautiful. There is nowhere in the World like Tasmania. I wish I had discovered it 40 years ago. Thank you for this video. Glad you finally made it. What a legendary feat...!
Are huts OK? Look more basic than ones on bib ???
I've wondered where you got to.
Hi Josh and thank you so much for sharing you stunning trip. We would like to travel to Australia and down the hiking trail, i'd love if you could provide us with some onfo about. Travelling from Greece, Athens!
Where the SAS used to test canditates at the end of selection.
Man. That's so beautiful. Awesome job 👏 👍
Hey, Great vid, planning to do this in late July. Noticing you haven't posted any new content in a while. If funding is an issue then consider a patreon account.. You vid's rock!
Amazing place to visit but I may drop because I only have walked a 12km trail at the Royal NP
I really enjoyed this delivery.
Really helpful. Thank you!
On top of the world! Awesome video, thank you for sharing Josh.
4:29 love seeing Barn Bluff and Cradle Mtn in the distance mid to far left.
Min 7;56 A ANIMAL JUMPING BEHIND AT THE LEFT!! Hahahahah
Fantastic video. Not sure how I missed this one 🤔. I sympathise with you about the meals - Back Country are dire. I get Firepot meals from the UK.
Absolutely amazing visit the himalayan mountains
Nice
Going back in time to this video, I can see you did follow your curiosity to travel. Hoping you're doing well and didn't abandon your videography passion for good as there hasn't been any uploads in the last 2 years. I got lots of inspiration from you to get out there and film stuff I hope to see you back on the trails soon!
I watched this pro hiker doing a thru hike and he was doing between min 30km to 60km daily and I was like NO FKN WAY, my feet would start talking if i walked more than 15/20km in a day and I'd be out for the rest of the week.😂 but this pace is more of what I would be able to do maybe.
Thank You for sharing your experience, you certainly took all of us with You. Inspiring and Amazing. Australia is such a beautiful country indeed and you capture it so beautifully❤.
Hola, saludos cordiales desde Venezuela. ¿El próximo video para cuándo?
You got lucky with the weather we were trekking into 70 knot winds😅
Looks amazing
This is your last video (2 years ago) where've you been?
Thank you for all of this. Very well shot, paced and captured the experience perfectly. I know this would've been quite the effort to capture along the way, so from all the guys out there planning a frenchmans cap trek like me - this vid is perfect so thanks a bunch.
The quality of your videos is superlative. An absolute pleasure to watch.
Really enjoyed watching your video Josh, like your other videos, just awesome, truly inspiring. I'm 60 and my dream is to do the Overland and the Wall of Jerusalem next year. Not taking it lightly, been in the gym for 5 months already, by next year I should be right.
Great choice of music and cinematography, beautiful and emotive. Im inspired to do this trail! What an experience, thanks for sharing.
Great work. Im planing this trip, great work with the cinematography and music
This is great man. Absolutely awesome. Keep it up
Josh where missing you doing the videos mate, hoping you crack on and start another.🤞
I love that you don't talk or narrate these videos. Really gives an honest view of the walks.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but mate.... Out of the endless hiking vids on the tube, that was something special...
How's the weather at Freycinet in Feb? Also is that Portuguese man of war??? Is it safe to swim at beaches in Freycinet? Amazing video, I came from the Reddit post ;)
