What a great way to wake up-in bed with a fresh coffee enjoying this tour of areas not far from me that I havent even been too. There's something calming about these videos . And the planing that goes into filming them is so easily overlooked because its put together( edited) so seemlessly. Thanks Josh

Mt Cooke is spectacular as you say Josh especially this last month wildflowers in abundance and plenty of interesting shapes in those boulders too which was a bonus, awesome drone footage following the ridge gives a great perspective. 👍

I have to admit I wasn't expecting to see so many wildflowers out and about so that was quite a nice surprise! Cheers Carl

Enjoying your videos mate, I would have been on this same track around the same time. I was also filming but nowhere near as well as you. Great work, I came away with only 1 tick the entire time, I went from Waalegh to Sullivan Rock

We must have cleared most of them for you, top blokes and all you know 😉 In all seriousness though thanks heaps for watching and taking the time to comment, it means a lot!

Soon as I saw you two laying on the log I thought FKN TICKS MATE... They always get me on the buttocks when I sit for a break. I use an orange foam mat now so I can see them. I also carry Warthoff from the chemist which freezes them off. Really impressed with your videography and editing. I like the closing summary and review.

Didn’t even think about ticks being on the log! Not a bad idea with the foam mat, maybe I’ll consider something like in the future. Thanks mate, appreciated!

@@JoshCarrHikes I think I got the foam mat, which weighs 19g of Amazon for about $2.00. Keep up the good work.

What a beautiful walk, never mind the bushfires... The ticks would be horrific though!

Tainted the experience a bit but nevertheless was an awesome few days!

If only You were spiderman You could chuck a web at the camera to bring it back instead of walking all the way back to get it. Love the videos!

Nerang still absolutely crawling with ticks, I see... 🤬

Sounds like you've had a similar experience?

@@JoshCarrHikes Yep. First hiking/camping trip in 5 years last October, went up Mt Cooke and overnighted at Nerang (1 night, 2 days, 32km) and it took me another year to get brave enough to go out again after all those ticks!
Just got back from a chill hike to Ball Creek Campsite in Kala though, was awesome to get back out there. Heading down to Augusta next week and thinking about a hike in Pemberton/Northcliffe on the way back up :)
