Paint Booth Upgrades prt.1 - Adding more exhaust vent area & applying a peelable paint both liner

The paint both has been working extremely well since its construction but there are a few niggles. The first one being the speed at which the current exhaust vents clog up with overspray and the second that I did not provide any overspray protection to the booth liner, making cleaning extremely difficult. So in this video we will address both of those issues.

If I do a shed and put concrete on the floor under the shed and the shed is on the floor I won’t be able to do the down draft booth huh? Cuz there’s a filter on the floor and it’s supposed to be a gap under the shed for the paint to exit I would have to have my shed on wood legs or something ?

You can just have the concrete floor and do what’s called a side draft design where you put the exhaust vents at the lowest point in the side walls. The inlet vents and fans can then still be in the ceiling. It’s not as efficient removing the overspray but still works very well.

What’s the air ducting for do I need it ?

Yes you need the ducting to force as much of the air from the fans as possible through the vents on the ceiling of the spray booth. This then creates a downdraft that takes away the overspray and forces it through the floor vents. It also creates a positive pressure in the booth to keep out dust particles. You can see how the fans connect to the ducts in some pictures I posted on the community notes. If you have enough space above the ceiling you could mount the fans direct to the ceiling vents, I didn’t have the space.
