Hey DD, keep em coming. I have the new 24’ klx300 and im in the PNW just north of your favorite ORV park. Enjoying the vids and the tips about motocamping and just being a general goofball.
Grew up on an old '86 IT200 and have two old '91 WR200s with blaster top ends...so naturally one of the funnest modern bikes I've ridden was a 150xc-w. While I get wanting way more bike for roughly the same money, I think riding a small bike fast vs a big bike slow is heavily under appreciated. Riding the 300, it'll lug way down...but I was never close to using it's full potential.
I also have the KLX, same grey camo 2024 model, and I'm a super noob. My buddy took me out for my first off road adventure (he's on an orange bike) and it was all snow. Definitely showed some limitations for sure. Especially with the tires. He was able to ride on top of the snow and I just kept getting dug in and stuck. I'm not waiting for them to wear out - I'm replacing the tires asap.
No sh*t D, you're back to the ol' stomping grounds! I've already really dug these vids probably since the terrain is so similar here.. Awesome as always brutha! 🤘
Ya mentioned the 360 cam a few times.. *I don't do this, buuuut... If ya mount the cam to the very top/center of your helmet, you'll still be able to keep it clean and get a 360 panned view - Probably cool for B.roll [I just like the front mount POV that usually do Best] Dude, you on the KTM!! 😁 F'n'A'!! They'll get your attention / wake you up Real Fast! 🤣
We love our dual-sports, ya nailed it when you mentioned Needing a Dirt-Bike.. In the woods - they're So Much Better! But D.. Don't forget about Trials-bikes! I've been on a few, just out in fields, but, they'd be KILLER little trail blasters! [like the MONTESA COTA 4RT 260R]
Lightweight 2 strokes are fun, I have a 81 Yamaha DT175 and its great, it dont have the fat tire like the tdub but its 50lbs lighter, 5more hp, 2" more suspension travel and still street legal.
I used to own one. Wish I still had it. My mom picked it up for me when I was 16. Traded a dude a case of beer for it and It came with a title too lol.
If I'd been on that KTM, you would have seen me rocket off the side of the mountain. Especially on that wet stuff. Also, you seem to like to ride on almost zero PSI tires....🤣🤣
@@dualdorks nice I need to come up some time I got a klx300 too, live down closer to Tacoma so I ride down this way! I know some very good trails out in carbonado that would make for a fun video if you’re down some time 👏
the KTM is no joke its got about 100lbs less on the KLX stock and almost twice the power its got 57 hp, you'll get lightness when it comes to other two strokes just not the power? Now granted if the T dub has taught us anything its that power isnt everything! But it wont flick about like the KTM just because its got the uga duga factor as well

TH-cam is saying this video was only recorded at 50fps btw, had to do a doubletake cause I didn't know uploading at 50fps was even an option
lol its kind of an odd ball frame rate but that's what I prefer. 4k at 30fps is too choppy for the SD card it seems like.
@@dualdorks Oh ok, as long as you know haha, I wouldn't have noticed if it didn't tell me.
I had this happen to my GoPro Hero 11 Black after a firmware update. I needed to reset it to factory defaults to fix it.

Great video man love seeing what the klx can do. What tires are you running in this video?
Tusk Dual Sport Adventure front and rear. Don't let this video deter you they are actually good I just only had 5psi in it without me knowing lol
What helmet cam are you using? I like the video!
DJi Osmo Action 3 and DJI Mic
the main thing the ktms have is weight even if you get one of the duelsport excf models you will sill save a ton of weight on the klx
Suspension and brakes
Howdy DD, their hiring at Boeing.

Kinda makes you feel like an old Pack Mule chasing Mountain Goat’s doesn’t it...
Plastic welding is easy. You'll figure it out pretty quick.
I’m jelly brother what trails are these?
Walker Valley ORV in Washington State

Only downside is that it will shit the bed at literally any time. Orange bike go bang
The TW and KLX have some pretty good torque for sure
Orange bike make anyone good rider. Lol those ktms they sre unreliable but damn they are good when they run
Notunreliable at all
You say you broke your foot do you wear riding boots? If so do you think they helped?
Cheers~
I broke my foot still while wearing MX boots lol. Thats how hard I hit. There is nothing you can do for broken metatarsals though.
@@dualdorks Dang I hope you heal up soon!
