The twist of MGSV was kind of spoiled for me. Remember how in the hospital escape you see a guy being killed by some XOF soldiers? He says "I don't wanna die". Well, he looked just like the character I had created minutes before (or so I thought). So right away I was very suspicious of it all... it was very creepy tbh

11 years just to play one game is so silly (my mom bought me tales of vesperia for the 360 when i had a 360 in like 2015-2017

I have done both. The story works better in my opinion if Zelos helps get the Angelic Cruxis Crystal. TOS is the bees knees!

Most of the criticism I've seen roughly comes down to "it'a not a bad game at all, it just doesn't feel like a fire emblem game, and that isn't even really game place related, but more due to the fact that Engage lacks much in the way of story/setting/character development". After Three Houses being so wildly successful, the series had massive shoes to fill. I just hope Engage hasn't turned off too many of the people who got their first taste of the series playing Three Houses.

I've got two rooms installed on Dolphin. Skies of Arcadia and Freedom Fighters. Two of my absolute favourites from that era that have never been re-released, remastered or had sequels. I'd love to play through them again one day but just don't have the time any more. However, I just can't bring myself to delete them. It's like holding onto a past memory I don't want to forget. I know that sounds weird.

i kinda love engage because they focused on the gameplay, maps and core mechanics. Honestly, if the game is fun I could care less about the support, characters, marriage and other side crap. This game took the classic apporach before they made the other things i think. If you want this, 3H does a great job. A great story can't save a bad game, but a great game could ALWAYS save a bad story.

I’d like a more modern style fire emblem game like themed after the industrial revolution maybe with trains and maybe a character who’s a mage trying to create a new bow that can fire metal pieces using fire magic

Having Nils as child Lewyn is crazy good. It would link the entire series together, as I see FE8 as the Gaiden to FE6+FE7. Magvel always seemed like the Australia continent to me, just a big ol island by itself. The only way we truly would know is in the FE4 remake. It actually makes a lot of sense to have Elibe be even farther in the past, especially considering they are the games that come immedately after judgral and the literal telling and showing of when there were still dragons living amongst humans even after the gate was closed. They surely used a lot of ideas and themes Kaga had lying around or shared with the group, and I'm sure they wanted to keep the series together in one universe still. i see the map like this and accoring to actual in game size, Judgral is like all of asia, Elibe is Europe, Archanea is North America, Valentia is South America, Magvel is Australia, Tellius is in a different timeline, I assume Fodlan is a continent north of Elibe, and Fateslandia is an ancient kingdom I assume that is now destroyed but from a far away pocket of some other continent. Basically only 3H now is the odd man out if they dont blatantly say it's stand alone like Tellius.

i’m starting to be under the impression that fire emblem engage has become the super mario sunshine and loz skyward sword of the fire emblem franchise...only difference is engage hasn't been around long enough to be considered "nostalgic" or a "cult classic"

It seems to me that it's the best of some parts of Fire Emblem but the worst of some of the other parts. Control of your team and strategy? Peak. Cringe? Also Peak. It's the most Fire Emblem, good and bad

To say the gamecube audio for the tracks is bad is an understatement. I have the original OST a long time ago and still do. The Dreamcast ones are literally superior.

good vid, but i do wanna point out an early error; the Ape Escape thing WAS in the 3DS version of MGS3, too. I only know that because it was my first play of the game in any form. personally i hated it because Ape Escape 2 was the first game of which I ever destroyed the physical copy. but yes, there are some people who played MGS3-D, but no one who played MGS3 before.

Im a huge metal gear fan. I remember someone borrowing my copy of Shadow Moses and never returning it but by that time ive beat the game so many times. Well whenever I'd get the hankering to play id go rent it. Whenever i rented the game i would always write down Myrles frequency and put it in the case behind the disc before returning it. Id explain to the employee its needed to beat the game to leave it in there. It would never say what it was. Just the numbers and "please return with disc". I often wonder how many players I helped out. Lol.
