I played all these games, but really put a lot of time in Super Empire Strikes Back. They put some cool things into that one, and some not so much. So since you wear Luke's X-wing outfit the entire time, even with Star Wars Battlefront II, I have never seen Luke wearing his "Bespin fatigues" in a game. BTW, the "bug creatures" are 4-Lom the bounty hunter.

I feel like these games are the equivalent of Hollywood retellings of historical events with many creative liberties, but within the SW universe. Kinda like a tall tale for the kids

Great review, but I don't understand why you think that Grandia is obscure or forgotten? Yes it is not FF7 but it is well know in the scene of JRPG fans, it even spawned multiple sequels. You can compare it more with Suikoden than FF7 because that was definitely the outlier.

I would like to see a Grandia 2 and 3 Retrospective next... Grandia 2 was my first JRPG... when I didn't even spoke english...And it's still my big JRPG love :D It was on a PC Game collection and funnily enough it was one of the last games I've tried... but I fall in love as soon as I started the game. It took me a lot time until I found ways to play Grandia 1 and 3, I loved both but 2 still got my first JRPG love bonus. +1 Sub + 1 Like :)

I remember I was 10 and my brother was 17 about the time these games came out. Bro would smoke bud with his homies and play these games but would get stuck on certain parts. That’s when I came in hand. Made me feel like million bucks when my older brother yelled at me to come to his room and help him beat a level on Star Wars.

Christmas 1992 I worked over the holidays and earned £100, knowing super Star Wars had just came in to the console shop on import I bought it the first day back at school (it was £70 but I felt like a millionaire with my earnings) on lunch break. Wow, all the kids from school knocked on my front door that night to see it.

Super stat wars was the first video game i ever played in my life. That was about 27ish year ago. I finally beat it last year.

This was a prime candidate to be released as Super Star Wars Trilogy on 1 cartridge on N64 with some enhancements, but I guess Nintendo/LucasArts didn't like more money. it would still be cool to get a modern HD remake

There was also no Super Phantom Menace either. The Last Jedi is still my favorite Star Wars movie.

That last flight while trying to escape the exploding Death Star was incredibly difficult. My brothers and I must have tried and failed hundreds of times before we finally made it. (Also, nice use of Mandy.)

Awww, Super Return of The Jedi. I went to visit family in Belfast for a week, The first day there we went to the Virgin Megastore & they had a copy of SROTJ for £20. I then had the excruciating wait to go home to play on it, my god that week dragged.

Definitely the best quality of life change is chips graying out when you can't pick them, due to chip or code, because on the first one I had to go over each one and spam A to check faster if they were compatible 😂

Loved the video, pacing and content was great. The fart noise got to me after a while though, like listening to Gene from Bob's Burgers spamming the farts on his keyboard. Pander-San was channeling the late 90s 'Pick up the Phone' commercial, every time she came on I felt like I had to turn Cinemax off before my parents woke up, not sure how to feel about that lol.
