Hello, thank you for the vider!! Question: What wood are you using to be able to clean it like that?
If you use any prefinished wood or spray with a lacquer and your wood can do that!
@@LaserAndLearn thank you
I have handmade artwork to sell . Please teach me
Yes love the video. Easy to follow. I will be trying. You show how to use the software. Thank you
And the reason for putting words into Inkscape is to have an svg for the glowforge
4:08 God bless you!
Great video, thanks for all the ideas. FYI, "sapele" is pronounced "sa PEE lee"
Hi there, love your video. Can you tell me if you ordered that M3 paper from amazon or something? If so, can you share a link? ^^
nice video.🙂
Thank you!!
Thank you so much! You are the best!! very detailed and did not go too fast or drag on! I give you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good video. Bless you. I guess you forgot to edit that part out.
Hey. Where did you get the 3M backing tape?
very good video
Thank you!
where is character map?
Do you have a link to where I can get the font that you used for the names?
How do you display the character map?
Your story is inspirational. I am new to this and I want to have a business too so I can help my family. I hope one day I can achieve it. Thanks for sharing your story.Blessings!
That is sooooo beautiful!! Thanks for the tutorial!!! Love it!!!
What do you use for doing your own masking?
You can buy your own. I buy paper masking. You can buy it from various places but I buy it here www.createwith614.com/products/application-tape-paper
That $40 Home Depot wood is 60 bucks today. Insane.
I know.... prices going up like crazy. When I started in 2020 it was $27...
I know... when I started in 2020 it was only $27. Crazy how much it went up
It's that bidenomics
Great piece.
Thank you! What type f woods are you using? Pre-finished Baltic birch and what is the backing? an oak board with walnut oil-stain? Thank you!
Yes! I use maple ply with an mdf core for the names and either red oak stained or walnut mdf for the backing!
@@LaserAndLearn Thanks! And do you finish the project with anything or just use the plywood as it (both names and backing). Sorry for questions I am a beginner
Where or what wood do you use to place the name on?
I use red oak or walnut with an mdf core. I have a separate video where I talk about where I get wood 😊
Amazing video thank you! What are you using for the backing it's super nice, walnut plywood? Or birch plywood you stain for example? Or a pine board you stained? So many ideas.
I typically use 1/4 inch mdf plywood. Redoak I stain or sometimes use walnut. I have a different video on where I get my wood if you want to check it out
Im trying to find a program that helps make a few mock up products to give them options to buy for clients. What kind of program do you use please?
I design in Inkscape and lightburn, but I know others use Adobe illustrator, silhouette for business, and Corel draw
@LaserAndLearn legend thanks for the tip. Going to give it a go. Love your channel keep it up 👍🏾
Thank you for sharing. This is adorable. How many names have you been able to put onto one piece?
I sometimes do 2 rows and so I have been able to do 12 before
Not me almost in tears trying to figure this out!!! Thank you soooo much for this video!!!!!!
Congrats and what an amazing story! I was at a low when my job of nearly a decade made me redundant just before Christmas. I'm trying to start my own laser journey, but just as things start to go good, another major cluster-hiccup comes up and tells me I can't do this. Your journey gives me hope so thanks
Thank you for sharing this I am retired and going to purchase a laser to start a side business so this was very helpful!
Thank you
Nice Job, I have a Quistion, Where I can find the Font that you used, Oh Juliya Update?
I found it either on design bundles or creative fabrica, can't remember which!
Hi there! What wood do you use?
Hey! I use 1/4 inch walnut or stained red oak from smokey hill laser designs mostly. For the top I use 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch maple. I use mdf plywood with the veneers of those.
I just got my first laser a Diode laser and I am loving it so far! I plan to get comfortable with it and learn and do small things with it and my goal is to get a bigger CO2 this time next year when they have the amazing Christmas deals again. I just couldnt do it right now because I want to be sure its the right fit for me. Thanks for this wonderful video tho. I am going to subscribe.
What did you get?
@@visibletoallusersonyoutube5928 I ended up getting the new Xtool S1 with the 40 watt laser module with the RA2 pro and the riser base. I am loving it so far.
Do you coat it with anything after the engrave?
Sometimes I use mineral oil, but mostly no
Are those just magnetic bars holding your material in place on each end?
Yeah! Got them at harbor freight
Can you tell me more about the Aeon Mira 9
Can i do this on my glowforge aura
I would probably do 1/16 inch wood but probably!
Hi Rachel, how do you get your engraving that dark on bamboo?
Hi! The biggest thing is to increase your power. If it is still not dark enough you can also decrease your speed
If you could go back in time would you had gone with the Mira since the beginning instead of GF
Hard question.... I think if I had to start over now, with the upped glowforge price and the software cost, etc, I think I might have. The community for the Mira is also so much larger than it used to be and the laser community has grown to have much more support. Long answer but yes, I think if I were to start all over, I would do the Mira now
Well explained, well detailed, well done!!
It came out great
I just found your videos. And oh my goodness. Su CB a great job!! If there’s too much taking I usually tune out. Lol. Does a compressor really make a difference? I have a Mira 7 (about 3 months) and I get a lot of that charring. I could also be my settings. Still a lot to learn. Thank you again!!
Yes! Air compressor helps reduce char. I added mine and never looked back! Thanks for watching!
What did you do after it dried. did you put any oils on there or just scrub it again with toothpaste.
After it dried it didn't have the char around it. Some people seal with mineral oil, I Usually don't worry about it
Thank you for getting back to me@@LaserAndLearn
Very nice!!!
Ok, I got started in PIXLR, for the life of me I can't get my photo d/l into PIXLR,, help
Thank you for your time and instructions.
Can the glowforge or xtool p2 cut solid 1/4” wood? Looking at small wood jewelry but worried it will feel cheap & light
Yes, it can! At least the Glowforge, don't know about the xtool. If it is 40watt and up it probably can though
What Glowforge machine did you buy?
Originally I bought the basic (no longer available). It is similar to the plus. However, now I almost primarily use my aeon mira 9
@@LaserAndLearn thanks so much
Thank you for explaining.... Can't wait to try .....
