@@Forgotten_performance how much hp did that add? It’s cuz yesterday my dad was racing a car that has 280-300 in a stock 97 gt and he barely got beat so I was wondering if it has a little more than 215 stock

97 is 215hp stock, 98 is 225hp. Mines 267.6hp (Dyno run is on my channel). So mine has an extra 42.6hp

Massive increase of mid range and top end pull, no detrimental affects to low end. But then the 1.4 has no low end on its best day. They 90lbs ft of torque at 4500rpm stock and basically nothing before that.

@notaws6 Power mods are; K&N high flow filter 75mm throttle body Hand ported plenum - all casting marks removed, surfaces smoothed, throttle face opened up to meet throttle body better, intake face to manifold small notches in each corner removed and edges smoothed Egr delete MSD coil packs MSD wires Motorcraft platinum plugs Custom Airbox and intake pipe heat shield Custom airbox Bassani X-pipe Decat Magnaflow oval chamber catback Gotta have had a tuner on it at some point as no EML for decat and shifts harder than stock Pretty sure that's all of the mods!

@@Forgotten_performance badass man. not meaning it rudely honestly but kinda curious cause most PI’s don’t make that to the wheels with those mods especially threw a auto. Is it in 3rd gear? And is that a Dynojet or Mustang dyno?

@notaws6 it's all good bro! That's 267.6 crank HP, which is still incredibly good for a non PI car, I might have missed some small mods off the list but I'll try do a walk around video showing the whole set up if you'd like! It made 267.6hp at the crank and 214.4 wheel horse power, so 267hp and 214.4bhp. This was done locked in second gear in order to get a full rpm sweep and then corrected for conditions and gear ratios. The runs were done on an inertia Dyno but I didn't ask if it was Mustang Dyno or not as they aren't really terms is hear used in the UK so I forgot. I was incredibly happy with those numbers as I only expected around 245hp at the crank, however when compared to other Dyno videos I'm about 15hp-25hp above cars with similar set ups but less mods in total, often running a more restrictive exhaust and less airflow mods done in total. My car is also only on 93000 miles, so averages out to about 3500 miles per year over its life and its always been very well maintained.

Foot was 100% to the floor, a key indicator of this is the traction control light flashing away as it kicked in to control power delivery

52mm throttle body, TF135 camshafts, high flow intake, full exhaust including manifold, had some cooling system upgrades, Bosch coils, NGK platinum plugs and an aggressive remap from Kmaps! Think that's the lot but it was a few years ago now

Still isn't fast, shouldn't have to change all the modes either

In the normal hybrid mode he is driving it in. The engine and electric motor arent acting at performance level together​. The GTE button is the performance button basically. Why wouldn'tyou want a car that does 100+mpg but can also do 0-60 the same as a GTI 🤷🏼‍♂️ @bluezr1357

If you can floor it for a good 5-10 seconds without achieving full power the car is pathetically pointless. I want to overtake but first let me reprogram every part of the car and driving modes....

Carbon fibre is extremely expensive! A fibreglass bonnet for this car is £1000+ new, have you got any suggestions for what you would replace with carbon? I really appreciate the support and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos 💪🏼

I have been thinking about something like that to be fair, it's got the GT spoiler on it now which looks nice but there's some really sharp looking aftermarket ones. A ducktail would be good as it's still subtle

The reason I didn't jack it up from the chassis rails is because with my jack and stands combination it's very tricky to get both in there together unless I jack the vehicle up from the point on the sill, and as my sills are strong why not right? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Depending what job on the car I'll be doing it'll be jacked up from different points and the stands placed in different point to give the best room and stability. Ps, MG Rover videos aren't something I plan to ever drop from the channel I've just been struggling to get content to make and finding time for editing.

@@Forgotten_performance fairs about the MG rover content but yeah about the cills working in the garage i have always had cars in general come in with the cills crushed or slightly crushed at least so i have always made it a point to try not to thats all

@Aptemafurry I've worked in the motor trade for quite a long time now mate, I understand the concern but that's from people jacking it up from the sill when the sill isn't the jacking point or when the sills heavily corroded. On MG ZRs and Rover 25s that pinch point in the sill is a pre-designated jacking point even shaped to fit the scissor jacks that come with the car.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest as they was on it when I bought the car. They're not oval so I would presume the bullets

I just seen them in your other video my bad man, those are the ovals actually . why they are called oval idk lol. the bullets have less packing and a good bit louder. I'm dying to hear those Magnaflows with a set of Longtubes. I loved my Borla atak with the stock manifolds and cattless X but after longtubes my god is it in your face kind of loud.@@Forgotten_performance

No ZR for me currently, but still got my R25 which I'm dailying. Which has come miles since I got it as I've been repairing the rust, a few interior bits like the headliner and the engine. She's gone from very tappy on start up to being fairly quiet, bonus is it pulls very strong for a 1.4. Currently trying to convince the person buying the car from me to fit 135 cams

It's easier and cheaper to make 140hp 1.4 than it is to make a reliable 1.8 120/160 swap. DM my Instagram @blue_zr_135 and I'll go through all the information with you. Main problem is the 1.8 requires a gearbox clutch and flywheel swap as the 1.4 gearboxes don't like the torque

They advertise sportiness and how the hybrid system 'boosts power'. And even then, it's not unfair to test and compare them to other similar vehicles. Even if you don't like the result

@@Forgotten_performance yeah it will run it but dam last week i had to stop at the only station for miles and they only had E10 95 and it reminded me back when i first bought my ZR as a rover before i messed about with it and how they ran it on cheap feul because the car just idled badly throttle response was worse it was down on power and torque MPG when i first got it was bad. put E5 99 as forums recommend to btw and DAMMM completely different car btw with a catback it burbles and will pop more swair

E10 from a good station won't hurt it, there's been plenty of discussion on the forums and groups about it. Even before the E10 change over from E5 they always ran better on premium fuel, however they don't need premium or 97/99RON Yours sounds like it was left with bad fuel in it and the extra detergents in the premium fuel is what fixed it

@@Forgotten_performance yeah well there isnt a difference i can tell with branded feul like shell V power compared to Tesco momentum but the premium fuel defo does have a difference again last week when i had no other choise it was down on power got to a feul station put premium and damm its noticeable like more then when you remove the derestricted throttle body on a R25 haha but thats just me and my car though.

It's a good car, and suprisingly fast. But it just isn't a Mustang, I don't even think the Mach name fits as that's from high specced high performance Mustangs

They usually involve excessive speed, donuts and a stolen car. Not a legal overtake
