So what I'm doing is stripping down my old 1.4 engine in order to use the block to build a high compression 1.8 from it. As the blocks are the same I can use a 1.8 rotating assembly in the 1.4 block making it a 1.8. By using the high compression forged pistons etc I can make more power. Hopefully this clears it up for you 🙂
Yeah the 105 and 120 models share same block and cylinder head, 160 models are the same block but a different cylinder head, each has different internals to give the difference in size and power
Yeah this is 100% do-able, theres even kits to use bike throttles available or independent throttle bodies designed for the K series engine. Ive seen that video series before and its really interesting to watch. However im not sure the cost of the making or buying the parts is worthwhile unless the engine is already heavily modified as the original intake manifold especially the alloy if paired with the 52mm (when in use on a 1.8) already perform well. If you’re considering ported cylinder head and aggressive cams then it would definitely be worthwhile!
Really good, can't wait.
i want a ZR for my first car. they just look so good for the age
Great looks, great performance, great comfort and great price! Whats not to love!
i got a rover 25 n put ZR bits on it because 1 it was goin to become door mats and tin cans in tesco n 2 insurance
😎
How come your taking the 1.8 to put the 1.4 is it because you can get more power??
