Great session there buddy, I'm constantly looking at that stretch from across the water, and always wanted to give it a go. Went out this morning doing very much the same, fished for 3ish hours, had a stack of bream, biggest was 2lb 7oz, was really chuffed, until 2hrs in, I realised I wasn't recording 🤣🤣. Thanks again for the tips mate. Alll the best
Nice to meet you Tom, that was a great 2 hour session for you on the bream . I only had some tiny bass when spinning for the mullet, not sure if mullet are thick or thin lipped. Will be down again in a couple of weeks.
It is mate. That's my beloved Veret Syria 435. Just a stunning rod. Not neccesarily what I'd call lighter though, in fact I've used it in the Bristol Channel, but it is probably far lighter than most people would use there! I've always like to fish as light as I can get away with (probably something to do with my girly arms!🤣 ).
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 cheers pal. It looks like a lovely piece of kit, a bit different from my usual channel rods; Kompressor S or 6+bait. Really enjoy the videos you put out, keep up the good work! Tight lines!
Hello. Sorry for crazy late reply! Catching up on a few comments I've managed to miss! The blue rod is a Veret Syria 435. You are correct, it has a lovely senstitive hybrid tip.
I used to be paranoid about this, but I have used coloured lines for quite a few years now and can honestly say it makes no difference. I do always use clear leaders though, so my mainline is 15m away from the rig.
Your a true gent Tom. And one of the best I've seen, in 40 years. Always intriguing to watch, and a pleasure to comment, Be lucky
Thank you, genuinely. Comments like that make it all worth while for me 😊
Very good sesh. I felt quite tired. after viewing. Well done !
Thank you. It was a fun, hectic little session.

Nice one Tom for another vid to watch. All the best from GRIMSBY
Cheers Carl. Hope you're good mate.
Great session, always enjoy catching fish 🎣.
Absolutely! If you can't enjoy catching a load of fish, then there's something wrong! Except strap congers. They can jog on. 🤣

Thank you, mate. A little sign of what we could have had if the fish had played ball on your visit!
Never mind we had a great time regardless!!
Me and Chris off to Chesil tomorrow hopefully the wind veers northerly and the cod are in!!!🤞👍🎣
@ianclarkfishing good luck. I look forward to the video...

No worries dude, thanks for the order 😊
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 chasing big gilts next week and you saved the day 😆
@tillysgunstocks good luck with them. One of my favourite species, but I've neglected them a bit this year!
great stuff as always fishy tom👌
Thanks bud 😁
Cracking flick with a bit of good comedy pal, tip on that Syria looks awesome 😢😭😭😭
Comedy? I'm deadly bloody serious me mate!
I love this lighter side of fishing. Just don't get much chance in the Bristol Channel.
What is that blue rod? Is it a Veret?

@thetaffydangler717 thanks, mate.
Hi whats the blue rod you are using? it looks like a very sensitive tip

@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 Thanks, I will look for one
They've become the summer whiting. Black bream are a real pain these days 😂
🤣🤣 Definitely worse problems to have! 😅
Tom using coloured line do you think it scares fish in really clear water great vids

Manic 😂 what steroids you on Tom ?
Never a dull moment in ur videos mate , look forward to ur next 1 😊
Ha ha, thanks Pete. I think I need tranquilizers, not steroids!
You can add the pollack to your species count, thats one of the fish your missing 🐟
Awesome!!! Thanks for checking. I must do an updated list. Maybe a little species hunt video at some point soon to tie it in with.
Have you done any more mullet fishing since your last mullet videos?
I haven't. I've really neglected that this year! Although it's not been the best season by all accounts.
Same here Tom, only managed a couple of trips & not very good.
Hopefully next year will be better.
Great short session well done mate , which reels are you using there ?
See you on the next one 😎🎣👍🏼
I'm using a pair of Shimano Bull's Eye 9100s (I know, I'm a tart!)
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 lol you might be a tart but they do look nice 👌🏼 😂
How about using a bell on the end of your rod. All the good anglers use them❤
Top idea from a top angler. I will add one to my Christmas wish list. Thank you.
