Hi Keith, thank you for watching! I got them from the dealership. It was something they had. The top box was just a simple givi and can get on FB for very little. Yes the resale was a massive problem but a fantastic bike, it has been a while since donkey left me and I think the next person has sold it on too! Really good memories and if I was looking for another id be happy to get another! I think in Europe they do 200 and larger capacities! But take care and stay safe mate 🙏👍👍🍦

Hi ER! There are 2 more parts so I'm going one a week for 3 weeks for the first time! I'm aiming for one a month or 12 a year🤣 as good as I'm getting! The 450 review I'm saving for after Spain. I've done 300 miles then 2 week wait for servicing. Tbh at the moment I'm not too happy as I'm keeping under 50 and 4k revs and it's not where it wants to be so I'm far off. Hoping to do 1k before I leave in September (hopefully) then do a review at around 4k miles when I get back. Take care and ride safe mate 🍻

@@quinnpeaksbiker But by the time part three comes out, surely the ice cream will have melted ? 🤔 You need to get that Himmy run in mate. Those motorway miles won't be good for running in. Best try to get it done first. Easier said than done though, I guess. Once you get 2000 miles on it, you can rag it as much as you like 🙂 Maybe ride it 30-40 minutes per day in the evenings, just around and around locally. You'll get to 2k soon enough. Ideally, you need to come up with some sort of schedule to get it properly run in before you sit on the motorway with it for days at a time IMO. @@quinnpeaksbiker Ok but regular little rides also soon add up. It doesn't have to be a big tour every time. Just bear that in mind too 👍🏻 I'd ride for half an hour every day after work, if I needed to get a bike run in asap. 30 miles a day for 50 days is 1500 already. Hi, thank you for watching. I'm 180 odd with an inside leg of 32, I had lots of bend left in knee and could stand up and the sear was a few inches below - flatfooting both feet. I'd say a 30 inside leg should be ok. But I'd sit on one and confirm. It's a really light bike and one leg should not be any weight - but again, please sit on one. I still miss the bike and was one of my best I've had. Hope it helps 👍

There are quite a few reasons I'm getting this, it's specific to RE, the garage is less than a 15 min walk from work so servicing is easy, I have purchased a few bikes from this place so I've a good relationship there, I've got a good network so I get cheap parts from India (e.g. rear plate there is £20 not £90 as here), we are a RE family - everyone has always had a RE and my other bike is a bullet - I have Honda's too but my bullet I'm in perfect sync with so I'm biased towards RE. I've had a Chinese 125 and it was a disaster with my gear leaver falling off mid turn and then when trying to sell it a few weeks later only being offered 20%of what I paid for it. I'm never touching a chinese bike again, also my personal beliefs, free Tibet! Ktms are too frantic, I'm 45 and a slow plodder and the RE is comfortable and calmer to ride. Hope it outlines my thoughts. Take care mate😊👍

I'm on a Transalp at the moment its too heavy for me and I'm just looking for something lighter that can do a bit of everything. This bike seems the ticket, cheaper insurance, 320 miles to it's 17l tank, can do motorways, can off road, cheap official parts and dealership is 5mins from work. It's looking very positive

My bullet is a show bike and a forever bike for me so I'm precious about it. This new one I think can do a bit of everything and I'm planning on having a month in Spain travelling around making a secret series I'm not supposed to talk about yet 😇🤫🤫 but I think it will do me good! Not crazy expensive that if anything happens it's the end of the world but capable enough of a partner to get through most things. Both great bikes, nearest honda dealer is in Nottingham and that puts me off. Having 3 year warranty and euro breakdown is nice too. I am thinking about getting a bigger bike for 2 up and to blast about at some point and it will probably be a honda. Just need to keep putting the pennies together 😇👍👍

I feel exactly the same way! I've tried the 600 and loved it but had the 650 for almost 3 years now. It's going to be replaced by the 450. I needed something lighter, cheaper to run and newer! I can't wrench or fix things so it has to go. Try one and it would be interesting to hear your feedback 👍👍

@@quinnpeaksbiker I will see it on my local bike show a week from now .. On the other side of Europe 😁. I was test riding the CRF 300 Rally two years ago.. Was ok, but too soft suspention and needed upgrade, so it was too expensive... If I only was 50 kilos 😁

Ayup mate! Thanks for watching. We can only ever make decisions according to the data we have at that moment. Everything I have says there are lots of options but this I can afford and have money left over to spend on a trip. I'd rather do that than be paying the bank for 2 years and never go anywhere. Hi Blake! I normally watch on the TV at work so can never comment! Saw you pop on my phone about your first Guinness and was a great vid! Would be interesting to get your comparison on the gold leaf we sell here and see how it differs? I'm curious but haven't gotten around to it yet! I've had an old klr650 for a few years when I used to live in south America. The klr had power there but it was slower, heavier and not as eager as the 450. The 450 feels well built and is more agile, also lighter steering than the KLR. The klr can be loaded up with quite a lot and keep on chugging! Had hay bales and sheep on the back of mine and it chugged on. Not sure the 450 would like that! If I could I'd get one but it was my first big bike and I did so many crazy adventures on it I'm nostalgic! But would be interesting to see how they compare. Thanks for watching and take care 😊👍🍦

Thank for watching Garry! I do agree with you, the smaller singles can tour but wouldn't want to do 2up fully loaded!! A 650 would be preferable!!! If it does show up, it will be interesting and something to genuinely think about. I think as a long distance travel bike it's going to be a really good choice, the rtw lot will be having a look at this I've seriously! 300 mile plus tank and very well priced. I will have to ditch metal panniers I think and try and go light as I can for the Spain trip! Take care and stay safe mate!

I think the 411 is still a great bike especially on back roads and will be in demand for new riders. I might be tempted by more power at some point, but I will be happy to get the insurance down for now 😂😂😂

Hi, thank you for watching. I took this on a trail through the peaks, it was quite fast. So perfect for open and clear trails, on the sharper more technical parts it was more work and a water crossing was interesting too. But it's a new bike and I'm getting used to it, Id imagine after a few months I'd have no issues. But for the limited experience I had I reported what I found, hopefully in the future it will be easier.
