DJI Osmo pocket 3 night walk and low light test in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo
This evening a package arrived with my new DJI Osmo pocket 3 creators combo, I quickly charged it up and decided to take it out for a stroll around the block. starting at Bonus Track I walked up to the station and did a small loop around the centre, testing out the new low light mode as well as filming in manual mode. Im pretty impressed with the footage from such a small device and am looking forwards to using this in future videos.
All the audio is straight out of the DJI
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below

Kaiko , A street photography journal, by Jonny Dub

I am super excited to share a look at my very first street photo publication. The book is entitled Kaiko, which means retrospect in Japanese and is a selection of some of my favourite images taken since moving to Tokyo nearly five years ago. There are 100 copies of the book that will be available to purchase from my website www.jonnydub.net very soon (I am currently remaking the website, but on...

How I develop film in my Tiny Tokyo Apartment This is a video that I have had a lot of requests to make, but have been fairly reluctant to until recently. I have been developing film for any about a year and half and I am by no means an expert at it, nor do I claim to be. Film development is a complex and deep subject to learn, with many techniques and variables that can effect how your film co...

Tokina atx-m 56mm for Fujifilm. First look and thoughts (from a street photographers perspective) with plenty of photo examples For this video I am excited to share my thoughts on the brand new Tokina atx-m 56mm F1.4 x lens for Fuji X-Mount systems. IS FUJIFILMS OLDEST X-MOUNT LENS STILL ONE OF ITS BEST? POV STREET PHOTOS WITH THE 34MM F1.4 So for this episode I took the much loved by fuji fans 35mm F1.4 out on the streets of Kichijoji in Tokyo to do some POV street photography. I have a GRIII X and I’m considering going back to a Sony FF for low light. I really love the photo quality of the Ricoh generally, but the auto focus is so bad. I haven’t shot at night too much but I even struggle with the AF during the day.

    Thanks for your review & comment. I shied away from M fearing I won’t be able to master rangefinder with no back-up then sell it. Chanced upon visoflex recently and it gives me back my courage to reconsider an M. To me it’s like a training wheel on a bike.

    What is fantastic with the M11 and the Visoflex 2 is the choice to use the viewfinder if you want or the Visoflex 2 in some situation. We dont use an EVF for street photography that is for sure.

  • @GillesQuennevilleGQ
    @GillesQuennevilleGQ 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The Visoflex 2 is designed for the M11 series and future M12. You cant appreciate his real value using a M10 that is for sure.

  • @GillesQuennevilleGQ

    On my M11 the Visoflex 2 is so great and high resolution. No lag.

  • @manigutau1730
    @manigutau1730 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    regarding your issues with focus peaking and zoom lag, there is a workaround: set the focus aid on automatic, and using your exposure compensation dial set the zoom to fit the entire screen. the setting will remain for each shot, the camera will not zoom anymore & it will only activate the focus peaking.

  • @GillesQuennevilleGQ

    I wanted to buy the sigma 56 mm 1.4, but the lack of the aperture ring made me look for something else with the same focal length. The Tokina seems to be a good performer with a good AF and sharp on wide open.Thank you so much for this great video!

      it is a setting on the camera where you can set the camera to prefocus to a set distance. this was its really fast as the camera does not need to refocus every shot, you just get he right distance from your subjec and i will be in focus. i works similar o how a range finder works, which is super fas, especially for street

    Very helpful review nicely and concisely presented. I have an M10R and use occasionally with type 020 Visoflex. The problem with that is that the Visoflex obscures the shutter speed dial - really annoying when shooting with manual exposure as I normally do. You didn’t mention that the new type 3 Visoflex does not obscure the dial, s9 that is an improvement…. But I think you have put me off buying the new one because of the resolution difference on an M10, which is presumably worse than when using type 020?? Regards, Peter in Derby UK

    I am interested in why you choose the vertical format for your wonderful zine. Does it best fit how you visualize and shoot your inages? I ask because the vertical images get a signal page while the landscape oriented images are multiple per page and are seemingly less individually highlighted. I always struggle with this when I lay out a zine or photo book.

    • @Visions_in_Toyko

      Hi, I think it was mainly a limitation of the printers I was using, I wanted to print the images up to A4 but they didn’t offer an A4 landscape book bind option, for future ones I certainly want to look into landscape oriented book binding though
