  • In August of 2021 we took Jimnothy to the Kruger National Park. In this episode we travel from Tsendze to Lower Sabie via Letaba and Satara, and spend 3 days exploring the famous H 4-1 between Lower Sabie and Skukuza Rest Camp. These are some of best parts of the Kruger for game viewing.

Really great video, Jimnoty and Friends; For us it is timely as we prepare for a visit this May 2023 and will stay at Lower Sabie and Berg En Dal; last time (2018) we stayed at Skukuza, Satara and Crocodile Bridge; Route 100 Satara was where we saw the first and most lions. Never got to see a Leopard, though. Hope to be lucky this time around.
Your video was great because of the right amount of time you left an animal on the screen, the many sightings and great music, giving it a nice relaxed rhythm. Thank you/very well done.

Thanks for another excellent video. Amazing otter footage (I've never seen one in the Kruger, over multiple trips), and I love that sequence when you return to find the lions after being alerted by a francolin. Have done the same with guinea-fowl/leopard. Much enjoy your understated commentary throughout.
A quick question. I'm shortly visiting the Kruger with a friend (travelling from the UK) and have hired a Jimny for the first time. From the footage in your video, I'm a little concerned about the available space behind the two front seats. Our vehicle comes fully equipped with camping gear, plus mattresses, chairs, a fridge, cooking equipment etc. We do not need the camping gear, as we'll be staying in self-catering accommodation in each camp, but the rental company (Treadlite) seem reluctant to remove it. Generally, when on a self-drive safari, I keep my camera gear, plus day pack and other small things, on the back seat where I can easily reach round for it. When the Jimmy is fully laden, will this still be possible? I notice also that when fully laden, your were unable to see out of the back windows and rear windscreen. Did you find this inhibiting? I'd be very grateful for your thoughts.
