Super video, interesting car - well done for saving it. I had a couple of 2 litres back in the day, great cars. Was given a 1.6 in more recent years when I was out of work for a bit, what a contrast - gutless, soggy, wow it was bad. But got me around ;)

I hope things pick up for you Ben. Love your videos, love your energy and I'm sure your time will come! P.s. how much of a pain would it be to pick up some transport jobs in the meantime or does it not balance by the time you change tax/insurance etc. etc.

I spent 3 months in the states, bought a car in Miami and drove from the east coast to the west and back to the north east. Parachute jumps, reef swimming national parks and loved every minute.

Hi Ben so sorry your having a tough time, and sorry for your loss. Words can do little to help but hope the love you have received through this channel shows you how much of a positive impact you have on people. The sun will always rise and this too will pass. It's hard not to worry about money especially when its your own business and its not coming in. Remember this though you don't know what tomorrow holds it may be another slow day or it may be absolutely rammed but what can you do about that today? Stress and worry wont make the phone ring or add money to you bank. But it will Rob you of your time and happiness today. Even if the worst thing happened tomorrow all that stressing over it today means that you suffer twice. If you go and do something you enjoy today you will be in a better place to face tomorrow. Keep fighting 1 day at a time. Paul 👍

A few years ago I lost 2 windscreens and 4 mirrors dye to the flying rats one mirror was smashed on the way from getting it fitted

Are far as pigeons are concerned let's not overlook the good work some have done as Carriers. 'Winkie' saved a bomber crew during WW2 that was sent by the crew of a downed plane and resulted in their rescue from the North Sea; she was awarded the Dickin Medal for her efforts. Carrier pigeons were carried by bomber crews as routine and also used extensively for conveying messages from agents in France and did sterling work

Morning, evening, afternoon Ben. Been in a similar situation all be it not recovery it was haulage. Really good weeks then quiet with really low earnings, one or two punctures or breakdowns and BAM all your hard work gone. Quit whilst your able to and settle for no stress and a regular wage . Sorry to be a defeatist but as they say bin dere done dat. I bounced back several times but if I’d have carried on I’d be rocking now in an institute!! Good luck mate 👍

Pigeons are our fault. They used to be pets/ stock used to send messages and could be very highly trained. As soon as the telgreph was popularised and the pigeons became useless, they were all dumped.

Your rant about pigeons 😂 sounded like Monty Pythons rant "What have the Romans ever done for us" 😂

Chest cam is good. Other recovery channels I watch are: Recovery with Steve, Ron Pratt, Pepe's Recovery, Matt's off road rescue, Heavy D Sparks, and there's others I can't remember what they're called. Good luck with everything! 😁👍

Sorry to hear about your loss. I am sure that business will pick up now that the silly season is about to start.In my town, the only thing pigeons do are walk into greggs and subway to pick the crumbs off the floor and me constantly chasing them away whenever i am in there🤦‍♂️ I watch a guy called shaun thomson on youtube as he is an owner operator who highlights the struggles of trucking life.(not a PG rating though🤦‍♂️). Keep your chin up and keep fighting on buddy👍

Pigeons are flying rats

Renault traffic and other associated vans have Renault lugana gearbox fitted so hence why they will never take over from the transit as a true work van but ford has ruined the transit by the wet belt crap anyway

Maybe you should do more vehicle transport, not just recovery, even agricultural machinery given where you are.

It has been a shockingly sh1t week to be fair, I needed you the other day but even I ain't that stupid to make you do a 210 mile round trip just to jumpstart my car, I mean you would have to do Taco and everything, then.... then..... THEN..... I lend someone my old car and the following morning I get a picture of it on whatsapp with the front all caved in, its big old granny pants is what it is, my kids were mortified too cos I promised them whoever passed their test first would get the car, and cos its a Mr Bichy you cant get parts here any more cos Mr Bitchy pulled out of the UK, PANTS, Sh1tty granny pigion pants. I used to watch a lot of Ron Pratt's stuff www.youtube.com/@RonPratt but he is in the US of Ayyyy and their stuff is on the wrong side of the road, I had to watch it all in the mirror.
