spot on with the gearbox oil, only know of one exception, Foden 6x6 recovery, the gearbox is so tall that it does have an oil pump, so cannot be allowed to turn if being recovered, but that is slightly bigger than you deal with!! That 6 series BMW...... love it
As a CCTV installer, I'd recommend using "Spider-X" It comes in a red and white spray can. Similar to fly spray, but dries to a type of varnish which keeps spiders away for around 6 months usually. A but expensive for a can but has usually worked well. Spray around and on the camera, don't wipe off, but clean the lens off or you get a smeary image from it!
Always Great to see a video when I get home too unwind with while drinking a beer, Especially after driving 13+ hours I used to hate the A17 equally for the potholes and idiots but lots of them seemed to have been fixed (potholes) but the A1m on the way back down from Toon land took the biscuit due to idiots not knowing how to drive or filter at roadworks + the roadworks was stopped dead still for 30 minutes at 1 point then it was stop start for over an hour, Hope today went well.
That’s awful that guy was killed. R.I.P that man.I would also stare a that BMW, I saw my favourite ( dream) car this morning, a beautiful red K plate Escort Cosworth.Have a smashing weekend marra ( that means mate up here)
Great vid. Sad news re the biker. RIP and condolences to his family and friends. I love the music on your vids. I coʻuld listen all day. You should do a playlist.
Felt a pang of anxiety when you aid you weren’t strapping it down but saw you did have some straps on when you were unloading it? Would love to see some track day action from Cadders mate, it’s been a while since I was last there!
Good evening Ben, I watched your video on the issue front lift or rear lift last night and I do agree with you how a Manuel gear box works, I should know iv'e been repairing them and autos most my working life iv'e been a motor vehicle engineer all my working life and for 25+ years a crash/breakdown recovery operator with Hiab training, iv'e worked for a few recovery firms in my time working for all the major recovery firms like rac AA. Brittany recovery and loads more who are insurance approved and all staff I have met all have the same kind of thinking when called to a breakdown concerning a front wheel drive vehicle where possible you do a front end lift it's like the unspoken word it's just how it is it's like putting a pair of shoes on the left shoe goes on left foot right shoe goes on right foot, I know there are exceptions where a rea end lift is necessary but that one you did on the juke was not one you even had to turn your spec lift around to do a rear end lift WHY ?? any way Ben rant over , concerning motor cycle content I'm all for it I was a life long biker until this month 2016 where I came off my kawasaki zx7r on a diesel spill and ended my biking life but also turned my life upside down, any way Ben I will end my post here all the best keep making the vids👍👍
Thanks mate, what I didn't show in the video is that infront of the Juke was a temporary drop kerb of concrete poured onto the road, so I wouldn't have been able to slide the spec under the front wheels, I also don't have a winch yet to pull it forward. Arguably I could have rolled the car down the hill to a smooth bit and then come in from the front 🤔. I'd been meaning to film about gearboxes and decided on arrival at this car to do it about this one. As it only had a 1 mile journey to the garage. Thanks for commenting mate
@SleafordRecovery no worries Ben we all got to do what we got to do, any way Ben you didn't mention the bike content would luv to see some of that and I wish I could join you on track but can't ride any more iv'e done some track days in the past mainly Oulton park and knock Hill they were fun times once you mastered the circuits, by the way francie (is that spelt right) is looking top doller👍👍
Rip to the 2 wheeled brother 🙏 I want to see... you flying, then riding out the back of a plane, parachute down then recovering the bike with Ronnie, (Ronnie is my favourite cos that's one of my grandson's name) can't wait for that installment😅 you will be 00 Sleaford. That gearbox thing, anyone would think you do recoveries for a living 😂😂😂
Great video again top job. Just before those traffic lights you were sat at there used to be a shop and a chippy on your left are they still there as I'm going back a few years since I was last around that area.
@@Fighting_Torque its when I hear a customer say “well the last person towed it backwards without issue” Yeah I aint the last person but let me put that in the notes 😂
When reversing with a vehicle on the spec do you turn the opposite way like when reversing a trailer sorry if it is a silly question I genuinely don't know
I had a 306 Gti-6 and I loved it.
I’m not a big Peugeot fan but they were got looking cars that didn’t feel very French inside. 👌🏻
Yeah man, my mate had a gold one and it was awesome!
Nice one! Always good to hear some engine/gearbox talk, love it!
Glad you enjoyed!

Cheers buddy, yeah that BMW was a stunner
Five speed box used by rear wheel drive rovers has a pump driven from the input shaft so need a rear suspend tow.
Nice CSI apart from the chrome arch lips. Perfect classic car to match the new company colour 🙂
Ha ha I wish!
You could hire Blyton park, bring all your vehicles ,do timed lap in each. nearest guess to total time wins a bag of spiders
Genius plan mate

I've just bought a mic....let's do this...
@@Fighting_Torque cool. Will be waiting
The orange bmw. Is pure car porn
Totally mate
I know it’s in theory safe to tow backwards but my preference will always be to lift the drive axle 😂
Yeah same here mate, any time any distance ill lift the driven wheels
@@Fighting_Torque its when I hear a customer say “well the last person towed it backwards without issue”

When you tow, does it put mileage on the car , always wondered lol ?
Depends on the car, if the speedo moves then yes, a lot of cars don't nowadays unless ignition is on.
for some reason the only name in my head for the recovery truck is still jaffa :/
🤫🤫😂
Amazon cctv spider spray
I didn't even know that was a thing 😂
Spiders? Spraying peppermint oil on the duster might do the trick if you can' be 'assed going up a ladder.
Ah ok, good to know!
When reversing with a vehicle on the spec do you turn the opposite way like when reversing a trailer sorry if it is a silly question I genuinely don't know
Yeah it's exactly the same as a trailer, the spec is almost like a fifth wheel on an HGV
yes the car is your trailer or caravan ,i love watching old people with caravans trying to park it kills 2 hours of my day.
Hi hi
Hey mate
Naughty boy flashing up the road 😂
Dji osmo action 4 is better than go pro
