20 FPS on a 7900x / 7900xtx system using the RLS mod. Mod's broken. And Raceless even says right here, they were rushed to make it, it works fine for him, so he's not worried to fix it. Raceless bro, YOU DON'T RELEASE BROKEN MODS like this with zero testing.

yeah since the update you get less frames in Vulcan (not on every maschine apperently) than you get on the normal shader starting the game with the mods a few times to let the battle station load everything helped, but in my case it was going from 5fps to 15fps, after starting on the normal shader it went up to 45 at night and 60+ during the day

Sorry to see you were having low fps issues. Night time does drop fps pretty significantly with all the lights, but day time should not be impacted much. We had planned to add a sleep option but the 0.34 update brought a lot of unexpected changes to some of the core code. It’s taken us longer than expected to work around the new stuff but we wanted to have the mod back out before the holidays. A lot more work to still be done. Best wishes

I'm curious how bad the performance is on a high end machine. Those 8 FPS numbers SHOULD NOT be a thing on your system, just playing Career Mode. I wouldn't expect a fix. They typically put out their updates and consider them "finished", if its good enough for Raceless, they figure its good enough to publish. Sigh. I'll give it a try, and see how it does on a higher setting. Not sure if I'll have time to make a video on it though, currently have IRL priorities.

F11 search for tod and untick the play check mark. Had the same problem. This was on beam fourm or you can use the Google machine that's how I found it

Coming from someone who watches your RLS career content and also "enjoys" it (well, not anymore now with the newest update lol) I really do hope they would actually optimize more features before putting them out so its playable for everyone indeed.

You did alright considering you had nobody to help you. It's not yet polished enough for an average gamer, but Star Citizen is already incredible and it's only going to get better. Your occasional slow speed is likely because your laptop is thermally throttled or only has 16 GB memory (32+ of quality RAM recommended). CPU and RAM are the bottlenecks because optimization always lags behind rollout of new features in a big complicated alpha like this. On the other hand, you can still play just fine on a fairly modest computer. I still had a GTX 960 until recently, and I'm still running a modest 2019 CPU (i5-9400f). Welcome to the 'verse.

If you hold F to buy an item, it goes to your _local_ inventory and you have to retrieve it from an inventory terminal. If you just _tap_ F, you'll buy the item and it'll be in your hand. In order to do the salvage missions, you need a dedicated salvage ship (either a Vulture or a Reclaimer, the latter of which is gigantic and needs a multi-player crew to use effectively). I recommend doing mercenary missions first, specifically the ones that go to bunkers. Microtech is in my opinion the best place for this, because it's got a TON of bunkers and it (and its moons) are absolutely beautiful. You can also do mercenary missions (and a bunch of other stuff) in the brand-new Pyro system, but be warned that it's a lawless system and you're always at risk of PVP anytime you're at an outpost or other frequented area with no repercussions for either party. It's absolutely beautiful though so I'd say it's worth checking out.

first dont buy any starter ships. This game wont be out for another 10 years as we are still alpha and at least 5 years away from beta (best case). If you can play for free do so otherwise just watch gameplay to figure out if its worht it but please dont spend anything on it. They have more than enough money to continue on this game for next 20 years with their insane budged. You paying more wont increase the time the game takes to release.

try maxing out the md-series engine, race block, 3600 rpm governor, biggest turbo, no exhaust, take off the hydraulic pump if you dont need it. Also, replace the terrible 4 spd automatic with the ten speed manual, and learn how to shift it. Swap the brake pads to full race, and use low mount suspension and replace the suspension springs & shocks with the heavy duty ones. in this config the md series can handle a upfit fully loaded with the heaviest aggregates(gravel, etc). keep up the good content!

Mods for the Nine? How about a 4 door convertible, a hearse, a RHD version, and maybe a later style version with a more prewar deco look based on a '39 Plymouth?

Hi! Thanks for reviewing the diesel mod. I wanted to clarify that the reason that the supercharger is mounted to the front of the engine is twofold. One: it's inspired by the famous "blower bentleys" of the 1930's which were british race cars that had the supercharger mounted in a similar way. Two: low profile😅
