hell ya, loved this video. I'm glad to see someone as advanced as you still have mountains on cards untouched lol... I'm nearing 250k cards, and maybe 10 percent sorted through, with 10 percent of that actually listed... There is not enough time... Just glad to see someone in the trenches plugging along, which talks me off the cliff off just dumping it all. If it ever came to that.. At least I know a reupatable person to dump too! Cant wait for then next video!
This is nuts bro I bought a 4000 card lot and almost went crazy trying to categorize and list and here you are trucking along would be great if sometime in the future someone releases a card lister/ sorter more economical then the commercial stuff I see. Great vid man.
Yeah I'm a bit nuts, it definitely takes a certain type of person. It would definitely be helpful if something like that could exist, but I'm not holding my breath Thanks for watching, and for your kind words!
would you be willing to do a video on what you look for when buying bulk? i've watched the majortiy of videos from your very first video in the last few days (i've been on an absolute binge to learn as much as i can before spending money) but this has been the only thing i haven't been able to find on your videos. are "bulk" and token bundles that are like 5k+ for 40-60 worth it at all?
They definitely can be, that puts you at about $.01 per card. The main thing I would look for if buying in person would be is there a lot of duplication, such as 50+ copies in a row of a bunch of very low value commons, or is it very jumbled up? And also I would just grab some random handfuls and check through them - can you find any cards you know are even just a little above a bulk floor price? I'm not talking finding Painter's Servant and Force of Will in the uncommons, more like Soul Warden or even just Moss Diamond. Lastly, I would be looking at condition - are most of the cards Near Mint, or are most of them Moderately Played? Big difference in both work and value here. Hope that helps!
With sight-unseen online purchases, you just have to be disciplined about purchase price not being more than what you'd be comfortable with if the whole collection is 10 commons from Return to Ravnica repeated 1000 times each (has happened to me before x.x)
I get this a lot actually. But I think they are far too expensive or don't work well enough to warrant the cost even of the cheaper ones. The Roca sorters are like $26k, the cheapest sorters are in the ballpark of $3-4k. This audit took me a couple hours, it would have taken the Roca all day, with someone personally managing it, and the cheapest ones would have taken several days. I think the sorters are a good idea, for a larger business doing lots of volume, that is trying to decide whether or not to hire an employee that will do nothing but sort all day. Elsewise the comparisons of payroll versus the cost of the sorter are apples and oranges. Even then, I feel like the employee wins out, because they can sort things the sorter can't, can do other tasks in a pinch, and can be developed into an even better asset. All while complying with your own system of processes so you don't have to warp around the productivity of the machines. So, yeah, I've thought of it, but can't really see how it would benefit me, or most people honestly. =]
I only know anything about Magic. How would someone go about learning how to sort or even how to identify cards in another game like Yugi-oh / Pokemon / Flesh and Blood - if they don't play those games?
There is absolutely lots of TH-cam info out there about every game made. I would say get your hands on some cards, and find some quick resources. Not trying to be that "google-is-your-friend" guy, but other than some exceptions - looking at you, Digimon :< - the manufacturers usually try to make it easy to figure out, and lots of people make guides for those who aren't in the know
Hey, I have question, do you ever notice tcg direct sells cards from your inventory that you dont have? Its happend to me a couple times now, like the system cannot tell the difference in raritys and just picks the name of card and disregards rarity and set it goes to?
No, whenever I've sold a card I don't have in my inventory, it's always a mistake in listing on my part. Either entering too much quantity or not catching a variation when it gets entered or scanned. It can't just list stuff for you that you don't tell it you have
Because of you I’m level 3 of TCG 💪 thanks for all the advice
I'm humbled that I've been able to help you, thanks for letting me know, CONGRATS
@@TCGBulkKings level 4 is coming in hot. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

The sausage gets made somehow XD 😂 I try really hard to keep chugging, it's hard sometimes with everything else going on
Love watching this content… the real hustle ❤
I'll have to do more like this, just showcasing whatever work I've got on that day =]

@@TCGBulkKingswhat about online purchases, unfortunately my town isn’t a huge tcg market. I don’t have much of a “in person” opportunity.

Another greet video. Also, thise towers scare me. Haha!!! I'd literally knock over cards stacked 15 high.😂
Usually pretty good about not knocking them over, but it's really sad when it happens 😭
Keep it up, man you're doing fantastic :D
Never thought of invest in a Card Sorter? 😊

For sure curious on what you end up value listed
Foil rare MtG came out to nearly $250 x.x
Haha instead of a cat sitting on the chair while I sort cards, it’s our bearded dragon.
She thinks she's a dragon lol 🤣
My neck was in pain before you finished the pokemon cards
Need to do some strength training, try driving a formula 1 car 😂
