The episode of the ITV show Goals of the Day broadcast on this day in 1989, featuring the First Division goals scored that day when a number of sides enjoyed big wins. Think this was the last time this show was broadcast, as after this the goals were included in the Sunday afternoon live shows.

We were so inconsistent in 89/90. United lost to city 5-1 in September a week after beating millwall 5-1!!
