Patrick Macnee interview on The Clive James Show
Very nice interview via satellite with Pat Macnee by Clive James from around 1991. I've truncated the clip from Dial a Deadly Number to try avoiding a copyright strike!

From the BBC foreign affairs documentary strand Assignment. Come Home, America. So long TV Heaven - and thanks for all the clips!
มุมมอง 7224 ปีที่แล้ว
So this is the final part of the 1968 episode of TV Heaven, the last of the series. It's an indicator of the care the makers showed towards archive material that they included the original penny farthing ad caps for the Prisoner episode (even though TV Heaven had its own!) End credits for the production are shown in full - you'll see some familiar names - but watch out for some mind-boggling ad...

"Well, you won't get that, either."😂😂😂 (at the end of a brief clip starting at 22:42 for context.) Christopher could be a colossal ass at times and occasionally breached the the bounds of civility and good taste. But he was never afraid to tell the truth -- or how he felt about so many of the world's sacred cows. Even when he went too far, his common sense, logic, hit and humor were both spot on and persuasive. Christopher did not suffer fools, and he gave no quarter to the well-intentioned but deluded laity of the Church, and had no tolerance for its outright hypocritical -- and often immoral and criminal -- leadership.

Jim Garrison really put one over on the American people. He knew the masses couldn't accept the lone gunman story no matter how much evidence supported that conclusion. He realized that the demand for conspiracy theories was way ahead of the supply in the immediate aftermath of the loss of such a beloved President and so he came up with a doozy. I don't think he even knew when he started his webb of lies where they would lead in the end but that didn't matter to him. It's really quite cruel what he did to the individuals who were implicated in his desperate attempt to carry on his deception. Clay Shaw was known to be a good man who had done his bit in the war and besides annoying Garrison by being a homosexual he never deserved the treatment he received from Garrison and never recovered from it. Anyone his still believes Garrison was anything other than a narcissistic sociopath obviously doesn't know the real facts.

Theresa recieved £100+Bn per year, little went to India or to those in need. Donations in America specifically marked for the starving in Ethiopa were not directed there as Sisters told a volunteer "We don't send money to Africa". In India there are over 200 charities for the homeless, none is traced to her "charity". She cruelly put those dying in severe pain on virtual stretchers, heads shaved, with no pain relief. It is required for charities to give accounts, she avoided this scrutiny. The money went to the Vatican & Theresa was a deluded narcissist who dealt with the corrupt. In comparison to other Catholic indiscretions hers was the tip of a very murky iceberg which includes murders, widespread sexual abuse & the oppression of women by several means.

Patrick, once told me a story about when Lorne Greene and he used to act on stage in Toronto, I do not remember the name of the troupe, he told me this around 1988.... Every time they would get a 'pittance' of pay, back then, Lorne would try to cajole Patrick into giving some of Pat's $ to him, to invest in a fledgling company. Patrick would always, politely, decline. Patrick said, to me, that when Lorne went off to Hollywood, for that "silly Bonawnza thing"(trying to get his accent) that Lorne was doing 'quite well'! "You see, Allen, that fledgling company was/is...........................................I.B.M. ! Lovely man, was Patrick Macnee! 🌠🪐

Anyone who believes in God was hated by Hitchens . Hitchens is the real devil . Hitchens came to America , and just like the Fag Four , put down our Jesus . Hitchens put down our great Presidents and Pastors , and even insulted our beautiful first rate journalist Paula Zahn . Imagine that , a third rate journalist Jagoff like Hitchens insulting Miss Zahn . Jagoff is Pittsburgh slang meaning ' idiot ' , ' jackass ' or ' prick '.
