UniFi - How to factory reset an access point
มุมมอง 8K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Getting an access point back to its factory default state can be useful for a fresh setup, or even for a device that was previously managed or configured. With UniFi APs, there are a few ways to set it back to factory default. If you already have access to the device from the software, then the first two steps will work. If not, then the last resort is to reset it on the physical device, using ...

Does this router has a DHCP server functionality or I will work only with external DHCP server?
Awesome 😎
Thank you!
You are welcome 🤗 I have been using Ubiquiti cameras for some time now and I must admit I am impressed with the G3 Flex. I have compared it to others in its series and newer, especially the G5 Flex. Tbh I cannot go too wrong with a bunch of these security cameras scattered about my house along with a cloud key gen 2 plus.
another one that yammers on. Why cant these videos just get to the fucking point?
I have given up on PPSK. So now what I am thinking is to create four different SSID's that each have their own VLAN ID assigned however, I want most of them to work on the 6ghz 6e band with WPA3.. I have a U6LR that can but the performance is awful even if you are standing 1 foot, 25 ' or 50' away. It is fed by a 2.5ghz port switch on my Mikrotik Switch_CRS310-8G+2S+IN. Ineternet is 1.2Gbps and router is pfsense on Intel i5 with 2.5 gbps port going to 2.5gbps port on switch. My i7 PC in the same room on 10g port to switch gets 806 gpbs internet speeds an U6LR gets 425 Mbps when all these devices are in 1 small room. Does anyone know a list of AP's that can do this and maintain WPA3 on 6ghz?
It was the power adapter. old power adapter had green light on steady and the console port led continued to flash so I tried everything else first but in the end, new power adapter fixed everything.
Glad it worked for you!
Thanks very much, great easy to follow video. Would have taken me days to figure that out. More Omada tips please
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for a good summary of the device. Does it support VPN and Vlans?
is there an alternative to win32diskimager? i can't seem to get this to run on my Windows 11 laptop.
Thanks so much for this video. I wonder why I can't have acces to all the configuration features includding the captive portal, when accesing the configuration through the Omada Cloud portal... is that a normal thing? Do I have to be connected vía LAN to the C200 to see all menu options in the confihuration portal?
What are good alternatives to this ?
Can I use it as a traditional L3 router (like a Cisco ISR router) without the NAT function as I want to place it behind the ISP provided Cisco router to create L3 network segmentation for internal network.
unico reset que funcionou, muito obrigado. consegui resetar remotamente, era 67 antenas unifi.
Thanks!
Horrible instructions.....you know you need to install Java first
To all the people who are knocking this, its a VERY good price point, considering its 200 bucks for the unit with decent antenna setup while other newer high-end units are about 600-1k (depending on if 4G LTE or 5G) per with a NIC and no antenna. I am VERY skeptical of using WIFI hotspots or routers only(most units DO NOT have a NIC) as today, they're so many vulnerabilities unless you are using RADIUS, but even then that has its weak spots if hackers know what they are doing. Kali makes this super easy to do considering its free and can get a pineapple for under 200 bucks. This unit is technically more of a failover or hotspot, not for permanent every day high-traffic homes/businesses, unless you are traveling which even then, it still provides decent speeds - 150 Mbps down / 50 Mbps up.
setup successes full but in UISP login is showing <<OFF LINE>>? on LAN there is an internet connection. Port 10 that's my main link coming from ISP.
Hi Alex, is the site magic feature available on the UMR? I would like to use it as a remote router to a site without wired internet connection but with great coverage. Any information on this would be super helpfull, as the other alternative is currently a unify express and LTE backup. But this is almost 3 times the price.
Hey, thanks for watching! - No, the UMR does not support Site Magic unfortunately. We're hoping Ubiquiti allows some more flexibility for this device, but it is looking unlikely.
I use 2 UX and 2 mini switches in my home, a smaller villa with a second UX as mesh AP and it works pretty well for about 40 wifi devices. Sometimes the wifi drops but nothing serious.
Very clear but not exactly outdoor oriented. Range etc would have been good
why it is not open
I got a credit note from UniFi after finding the Express pretty rubbish on 350/35 Virgin connection. Swapped it out for a UCG-Ultra + NanoHD and miles better. NanoHD I had spare. This setup is for a family member. I’m staying on pfsense and UniFi otherwise.
what is really annoying about people pushing Unifi products is that they never mention they are more than likely out of stock. Point in case is the UDR which has not been in stock for weeks. I do worry about choosing a supplier that can not manage its stock and manufacturing process correctly.
What is the difference in setting it up as a PtMP link or and Access Point? Your video was so helpful in me getting these mounted. Updating them is a bit of a pain.
for all my life i used to manage router thorough browser without any problem, but my friend using unifi and things get worst many problem really and this is first router didn't go back to factory deafult setting so i just advice to buy cheap router we bought Tenda router and it work perfect ... so cheaper and better
Thank you for your video. I've searched extensively and found many threads, Reddit posts, etc., with the same solutions that you demonstrated in your short video. However, all the other resources I found were somewhat ambiguous, making it hard to be certain about the exact method. Your video is concise and straightforward. And all the tips worked for me.
You're welcome!
Since there is no option to enable roaming it is basically useless for travelling in the EU. What are people using this for if not for travelling?
What startlink plan do you need for this sort of application?
Hey, thanks for watching! - Any plan can be used, but we used the roaming plan, otherwise known as the portable plan for this.
Thank you! Would love to see more of this type of content
Thanks for the suggestion, we are working on some more 'on-site' content!
great video, but you are missing the link you mentioned 0:53
I have followed all of these steps several times and can not see the SSID on my phone. I do have the M5 version if that makes a difference. I did the factory reset, each time I have tried this and can stil not see wifi showing up on my phone. Should I use a different bandwidth for 5G? Not sure what else I need to do.
Hey Jim, did you turn off airMAX in the beam icon menu?
Am grateful to learn from your videos presentation.❤
Hey, thanks for watching!
Can you adjust the brightness of these? And if you can, are you able to schedule it? ie run them at low light output through the night unless triggered to full brightness by a motion detection?

Will you be doing a review on the new UXG-MAX? I'm trying to still replace my USG-3.
Yes, Stay tuned it is coming soon!
how to know Access point IP
If the sunMAX had the Switch Flex hardware instead, it would be a much better setup. I've decided to run separate solar charge controllers and the switch flex with a DC poe injector.
Hope they do a Gen2 model with this!
Which solar charge controllers are you using? I was thinking about using the Flex as well.
@@booose06 I'm using a ictron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 75V 15 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller. I use these little charge controllers on all of my trailers. I also picked up an Everstar iPoE-65W55GDM dc injector to supply power.
Интернет платить или бесплатно?
When I set VLAN the guest wifi wont connect. This is on the Omada 200 controller.
Bro skips mDNS and blocks all the things. Not very nuanced and not really suited to most situations for IoT controllers on a separate VLAN.
mDNS is allowed through, even on fully locked down VLANs.
@@hostifi *If* you enable mdns across networks (auto creating the firewall rules)
Hi, can you limit the bandwidth on these?
Unifi mounted on wall outside WiFi coverage drops as soon as I go inside why
Is it a UniFi AP or the NanoStation used in this video? Regardless, it sounds like the wall is likely blocking the signal.
Can the M5 be used as a router too?
Thanks for asking, yes it can 👍🏻
@@hostifi one more question if I may. If I have a hardwired pc and Nas on my network connected via a switch. If I add a M5 in router mode and also enable the AP, I could then access my nas files via WiFi right?
Hey, probably not I wouldn’t recommend using it in router mode if it just for connecting WiFi devices. You’re better off in bridge mode to ensure connectivity and reducing double NAT
Does the 8th port on the back actually switch? Or is this just a power input?
It is PoE++ in port only
Can it be used as switch only without any routing/NAT/Firewall just as media converter for GPON SFP?
Got a link to this outdoor box you used? - and what size batteries did you have in there? In the US - I am finding the batteries are about 7" wide or 13" long but most IP65 boxes I can find are only 24" wide and 12" deep which prevents arranging batteries either side ways or long ways.
Hey Jason, this is the box I used. Not sure if they'll ship to the US. www.it-stockist.co.uk/product/owr-420-550-320-rack-19-6u-waterproof-cabinet/ Batteries are 70Ah units and have just enough clearance.
@@hostifiAny idea what size batteries you used to fit in that?
@@jason3fc Hey, so they are 17cm W x 22cm L x 22cm H. Hope that helps!
can we change frequency from the uisp?
Hey, yes you can on most wireless devices, airMAX supports this feature.
Can I migrate sites/devices configs from OCxxxx devices or SDN computers to Omada cloud-based controller?
Gee, I wonder if the Edgerouter units i have, that I'm not using, well, can I use one of *their* power supplies.... After all, they are Ubiquity units...
Please answer me ..if you can help me to build a safet network with ubiquity from scratch against money ?
