it doesn't state how to hook up the UXG if the old USG is still connected

You cannot manage two gateways on same site do you need to forget the old USG from site and connect the UXG pro on the same connection and then setup it doing that you will be able to adopt it to site.

Yeah I get it. Needed to turn on multisite in settings to be able to add new sites. Not sure I trust just removing the old and assuming the new one will get all the correct settings once I move it in to the default site. BTW when I go to add site I have an option to import site that I don't see in the video. Also in the video it is difficult to hear his enunciation between USG and UXG.

@@dinoadye import site is basically when you want to migrate a site from one controller to another. Btw I have also did a video recently on UXG lite you can check that too. 😅

Can you do this using the old cloud key or do you need the new unify controller software?

Good luck doing this in UXG-Lite when the controller is on another subnet!

Oh you mean the fact the UXG Lite comes up on 192.168.1.x by default? Yeah... that was pretty painful. And the whole thing about creating a new site in this video... not necessary anyway (see below).
In my network, with a separate hardware Cloud Key, I did try to get the UXG Lite to adopt to a new temporary site as advised in this video, but it just wouldn't.
So, I removed the new site and waited for it to appear in my regular site. Then, before attempting to adopt it, I removed the USG3P (takes a while for that to finish) and then adopted the UXG Lite and it picked up all the original site settings no problem.
