Why Blue Cosmos Has Been and Should Still be the Villain of the Gundam Seed Franchise
I believe that the terrorist group of the Gundam Seed franchise, Blue Cosmos, should have been the main enemies of Gundam Seed Freedom, because of its long history in the franchise. And I'll explain how and why.

3:55 yup and Bruce Wayne did nothing wrong except knocking up Barbara which would so Dick would have a better reason to hate other than mistreating a man in the old wounds episode but I recall that he was planning on killing the guy who killed his parents and Batman wasn’t trying to stop that but compare to Superman mistreating Professor Hamilton in the Legacy episode. But what if Helena Wayne was in Batman Beyond would they try to stop Bruce from making her become like him?

They'd be too insignificant to even be able to do anything against COMPS in a theoretical new storyline. Now that their main means of acquiring personnel and material are either no longer supporting them (Atlantic Federation) or completely defunct (Logos), they'd be nothing more than a weak, decentralised and unorganized terrorist group with no hierarchy, especially after their headquarters and leader were destroyed alongside what little was left of their weapons.

Blue cosmos have a point, eugenetics are part of humanity, but the form that coordinators are made presents a unethical and dangerous approach. If one use real logic and not anime logic, Coordinators will eventually dominate and extinguish natural humanity. The series is garbage because in order to made BC bad, they presented them as puppets of Arms industry Barons, and BC warriors as incompetent in the field or in strategy.

Blue Cosmos being the main villains sounds repetitive and a bit silly. It’s like finding the most evil group in the era, pointing our fingers at them and going “they HAVE to be THE bad guys.” Yeah, obviously they’re bad but I think there are a lot more interesting routes they could go down.

I agree with you. The writers were already grasping at straws when writing this, no need to add more complex thoughts. I would like to propose that GSF is a representation of the conflict that took place during GSD production. The "evil" Naomi Shindō tried to seduce Fukuda away from his wife. That's why Orphee is just a male version of Cagalli, the character Shindō played. That's why Cagalli's characterization took a nose dive in GSD, that's why the focus on Netorare in GSF, and that's why Shindō wouldn't reprise her role kn GSF.

Okay, gonna just.... stop you right there. Blue Cosmos is probably always going to be a villain, it's just gonna be a matter of to what capacity they are. The aftermath of ANY war means there are tons upon tons of random weapons all over the world that are just... left there. And terrorist cells like BC don't just vanish, they go into hiding as cells. And given that Blue Cosmos is basically comprised of Christian and Islamic hard-liners who got real butthurt when someone broke the genetic barrier and made genetically engineered superbabies, along with breaking all one-world religions by finding fossilized intelligent life out by Jupiter? Yeah, they're gonna throw a shit fit for a while. However. There are LOTS of villains. The world is a big place. And it's always going to be a big place. In the aftermath of Freedom, an entire city got nuked by genetic engineering gone even further beyond, and remnants of the Gilbert faction of Zaft. Which mirrors early Destiny, where a bunch of Zala loyalists basically nuked the planet with bits of old colony wreckage. Or how the Blue Cosmos/Logos lunatics were aided by an Orb family or two. CE has no shortage of antagonistic parties. Librarian Works, WAY too many aristocratic families in and among Orb including the Sahakus who have their own space station, and the Kiou who have their own stealth gundams, space pirates, the clones that all got shipped off to Mars and might include a clone of Kira, and even among those wiped out, like the Seirans, there'll be loyalists hiding out. You've got colonies all over that all have their own self defense machines that may or may not be being modified with all sorts of crazy nonsense, you've got Serpent Tail(who later partially linked up with librarian works and attacked a bunch of people), you've got all manner of NGOs with insane levels of power at their disposal(Terminal comes to mind), and in all of these, SOMETIMES they're the good guys, but there's a great potential for some fuckery to take place. CE has a HUGE universe to play in, and they keep teasing more and more every time they put out anything. BC makes a great villain, they're very easy to hate, but there's always gonna be someone else too.

It's still unclear if the leader of Blue Cosmos in GS Freedom was even real. Because he was completely forgotten in the story like uncle Ben in Amazing Spiderman 1. We don't know if Kira actually saw him or if that was an illusion. He could've just been a false flag by Foundation the entire time in their grand scheme. Either way it felt like a dead end. I think a more interesting approach would be if BC eventually infiltrated Compass in a later story HYDRA style. Meanwhile their propaganda would use the last two attempts to force the Destiny plan as justification for riling up naturals.

It def had a more european vibe to it I feel. And was one of the reasons why I liked it. Lent to the escapism

I agree with pretty much everything, except the idea that Akemi has thrown out her feminist ideals at the end. I think she has made a sacrifice of her own freedom, so that she may fight against the patriarchal system in place using her power. I think she realized she could either run and be free, and leave her culture in the hands of others who may continue to reinforce the patriarchy, or stand her ground, sacrifice her freedom, and fight for all women to have more freedom using her power. Of course I could easily be wrong about that, we will see when season 2 comes around

A Starfleet jaded by an extreme disaster when trying to help a long-time foe, war, and constant aggression from everyone around them is a very scary one if you dare to shoot at them. Starfleet doesn't play around with advanced tech, they USE it and will happily put it to use to screw with your systems then hammer you with technology that may or may not be influenced by all the temporal shenanigans they get involved with. By the end of the 24th century, you're dealing with a Starfleet that's realizing "Man, maybe Sisko was onto something with the Defiant-class... but we should maybe add a few more guns to it."

What killed the vibe in Star Trek 3 with the Excelsior is making it's crew poncey gits. The captain was played as vain glorious who was busy filing his nails and potrayed as the upper class twerp type with his riding crop. The scene would have played better if the Excelsior crew looked battle hardened and they had a captain that seemed like a hard-ass who wouldn't hesitate to fire if necessary. Basically a Captain Jeliko type. Someone who used concrete as chewing gum. After all you don't assign your newest wonder ship to a bunch of reservists types, you assign it to a very experienced crew. That would have given the scene a lot more menace as a skilled crew is on the Enterprises tail, with a intense captain yelling at Kirk and threatening him. So it was saving them from a legitimately scary opponent when the sabotage was revealed. "The only reason I don't blast the nacelles off the Enterprise right now Kirk is because I appreciate it's legacy. But don't force my hand because if you push me I will not let you ..." And the Excelsior breaks down. The Excelsior captain might even applaud the move and go "Scotty that sneaky... Well played Kirk, well played. I just hope you've thought out what happens next." He's a hero type in any other situation, not a comedic foil.

The same thing, good people and children should have never been born into toxicity by the wicked. The wicked are pdf files, oligarchs, megalomaniacs, abominations, complict sheeple and even more unfathomable incomprehensible EVIL. If yall are mad at this lady, be mad at Jesus Christ because in the Bible, that's what the messiah plans to do to the earth. Jesus is just like the aliens, intolerant. You all want women to be led by christ but get mad when they take on Christ's mindset. Please read the book of revelation, and no, I'm not religious, just intelligent.

I would add the scene from sacrifice of angels where that one cheeky galor gets clubbed by 3 galaxys, with 2 of them SPECIFICALLY turning to that one galor to whomp it. Because FCK that galor in particular..... one galaxy comes flying over from the other end of the formationnjust for that galor.

The miranda was neither a ship of the line nor more "modern". It was a technological contemporary. Its was starfleets budget cruiser that almost matched the connys cababilities but was hilariously cheaper. Which is why the design made it to over 100 years of service life and a bajillion variants.

The Dominion Battleship from Deep space Nine comes to mind after it was hit by the USS Valiant. Appearing out of the smoke and flames of the explosion to point right back at Valiant before unleashing hell.
