It's a very good video. I will be the first to say that although I'm not a huge comic fan, the Rogue/Gambit pairing is a favorite of mine. I think it works very well, and they are good for one another. Yeah they had many very big lows, but that's just comics, especially X-Men. At the start of the season, up until episode 5 I was frustrated with all of this love triangle drama. Now at the end it is still very weird to me, but more so the part, where after all that happened, Rogue barely acknowledged the existence of Magneto in the later episodes and Kurt had to remind her that lol the other guy was there too. And now I'm hearing rumors, that there is a good chance that the Rogue/Magneto romance comes up again in the next season. This all would just character assasinate Rogue for me if that really happened, especially with how the season ended with the end credit scene. Knowing Gambit loves her, nothing happening between them, choosing Magneto over Gambit, and then deciding that no, Gambit is the one for her, and then (if rumors are true) going back to Magneto after Gambit is dead, just to go back to Gambit at the very end? Nah, that would be way too much and would destroy the characters, and essentially a big part of the show as well. Or they could just completly pivot and Rogue stays with Erik even at the end, but that would piss off a big part of the community (although seeing how they always treat Spiderman, I don't think Marvel really cares) Overall the Rogue/Magneto is a romance that I never liked, neither in the couple comics that I read, nor here, I think Magneto and Rogue are nowhere near equals, and beyond the fact that they can touch, I don't feel too much depth in their romance. I agree that it would become a ross/rachel scenario which I hated. The audience is already split over the mag/rogue thing and this would nuke it pretty much. The only thing Im sure of is that Gambit is coming back as the horseman death and that his anger at rogue is going to fuel that story line. And I may do a vid based on your thoughts about redoing rog/mags again. So if I do, thnx in advance

Sadness and dejection sure. The most optimal solution would be in my eyes that Rogue either stay away from Mags, or magneto helps her with her powers, and in the end she helps Gambit come back from the death persona in some ways. This way Magneto would be a cool guy who would help Rogue with her problems, no longer would there be any love triangle, Rogue would be somewhat redeemed in a lot of people's eyes because she stayed true and loyal to her choice, and then she would help Gambit come back and then be together without her powers causing too much problem. Now I realize such a happy ending will probably not occur in the show, when death gambit comes back the first thing he will see is probably magneto and rogue holding hands or something just to cause unnecessary tension.
@@bencehorvath9026 Logical. I see death gambit holding grudge against rogue because of apocalypse's manipulations when he creates horseman. Arch angel went from flirty playboy to borderline berserker on wolverine level when apocalypse turned him in the comics.

Good video not only in offering up a good interpretation of it and not immediately dismissing it, but also as just an actual informative summary of what all this plot point actually even was. I remember getting this whole thing spoiled for me by a "friend" who was so angry about it that it made me swear off even watching the show for a bit because his attitude really ruined it for me. (Suffiice to say, I'm sitting down and watching it myself now and enjoying it more without his presence.)
Thnx. I think its just the nature of the times we live. Everyone cant get triggered over one detail and it immediately distracted from everything else. I was only cool with it because I knew the comic history. But Im glad your enjoying the series and at least seeing for yourself. Cheers

Yea: unpopular opinion: I dont care about the age gap between them since I was already familiar with it in the comics and rogue was an adult in both that and the series when they started.

Rogue realized too late the value of Gambit and his love. But better late than never. Remy is sorry that he died without learning about her choice. I didn't like the relationship with Magneto, because there are no hints about it in the original series, and they just made it up on the fly. Also, the age difference is very repulsive. If she had an affair with Bobby (Iceman), for example it wouldn't be perceived as unpleasant. Was she really ready to have sexual contact with her grandfather because of the possibility of touching only? Bruh
I hear ya. For me, I agree that throwing it into the series for drama with no lead up wasnt the greatest. But I was familiar with it in the comic, and the age thing didnt bother me because they were both adults. Rogue is currently in her 30's, so she was hooking up w mags in her 20's. Still a gap, but we all make our choices. Thats my take on that anyway.

Probably yes, Magneto is needed to take Rogue and Remy's relationship to a new level. But nevertheless, it is difficult for me to understand it. Gambit also sacrificed for you and did not flirt with anyone, although he can get almost any woman. Magneto is a terrorist who will sooner or later break her heart, as it was in the comics. And why doesn't she use the collar to intimidate Remy? Although there is a Forge now, maybe it will help with this. And it's time for the professor to help her with the control of forces, as in the comics
This was rewritten very badly. It’s not even with that obvious “ let the roles be reversed “ argument. It’s literally her cheating. Then her deciding to cuck him and only really cared when he died. Yea last second she figured it out but LITERALLY right before he died. The writers just didn’t want to have three different couples in the show. It’s why all three of them are vague or dealing with cheating or are broken simply to not write good romance. That could have been rogue and gambit, being in love for the first couple episodes then him dying in the same episode.
It's hard to take what you say seriously when you unironically say cuck. Beyond the fact that word is mainly used jokingly or in a fetishized way, it's a dogshit term adopted from political nutbars that took it from Cuckoo Bird behavior that doesn't parallel well with how people use it.

to me Rogue gambit was never apealing to me why i do think they love each other there not really suited for each other in the long run. i felt she had more in commen with Wolverine both alike in many ways. iam not a big magneto Rogue shipper either however it is more interesting then her and gambit.

Don't think so. I know she got some powers for a time from Sunfire. The primary powers coming from Ms marvel
Comics still sat that rogue got her most well known powers from carol danvers.
