the naginata is a type of halberd/spear used in Japan's feudal era, often times by noble women. Recently it has gained some popularity with Netflix's Blue Eye Samurai as the protagonist's, Mizu, main weapon of choice. It has also now been seen in another hit streaming series, Shogun, used by one of its central characters, Mariko. Yet despite these similarities, how both women used the weapon says much more about how different their lives are and mental state is.

To be honest comparing Mariko and Mizu is literally stupid because both are great female characters in their own way and are very different to just because of a one naginata scene doesn't change that to and considering the fact after years we are getting great female characters we should be happy about that not that who is stronger and honestly these two female characters are relatively great and better than the unrealistically overpowered and poorly written female characters that Hollywood has given to us with its woke trash films. And Mizu it's not that overpowered yes it seems like it but she is highly skilled individual who has quite a lot of experience since as a child and invite she does get a brutally injured some time so it shows that she's not all the time perfect
