The word that was key is "blaze". Blaze referred to 3 things: Angel Fire, and the painted "nn" on a large flat rock, and the location of the word blaze in the poem. The word "it" was a close second because it was used 2 times and a third time as an unspoken reference in the 4th line of the 2nd stanza, and refers to the poem-used-as-a-Map cut-out which must be placed WISELY on a map to find where the blaze crosses the right triangle hypotenuse.
