BURNING brush piles! Plus fixing the fence, splitting firewood and boiling SYRUP! What a day!
I picked up a ZT HD 44 this past Spring and recently winterized it; your video was extremely helpful in walking me through the steps of what to do when changing the oil and cleaning the air filter. Quick question: I live in the Northeast and our Winters can get cold. While I've already disconnected the battery (from its leads), should I bring it inside until the Spring? I ask because I cannot figure out how to remove it with ease. I used to have a Husqvarna riding mower and the battery was easy-in / easy-out; the ZT's battery is a lot smaller and appears to be really tucked away. Anyone have any videos to share of battery removal?
You need to add a cutting edge to your bucket or your gonna wear out your factory cutting edge
It’s amazing what a person can do with a compact tractor.
If you haven’t already experienced a backhoe subframe failure. Inspect it regularly. You could be seriously injured or worse if it comes completely apart.
BALLARD BLADES U CAN GO THEIR WEBSITE. DIFFERENT VARIETIES!
Im considering getting this mower now. Bought an Ariens ikon 52 this past spring, and it's just a little too small for what I'm mowing. So now I'm looking at the Gravely zt hd 60. Seems to be a little heavier built machine
Why do one pole in the concrete and then another pole over the top of it?
overkill LOL under kill duuct tape under ground will leak in 3 years amateur.
why even downsize it to 7x7 ? youve already got a 20x20 beam from nature.
I actually picked up the 37 ton this morning from HD. I went to fill the engine with oil but it was already full but still had the tag reminding user to fill. I was going to get the 27 ton but it was only 300 hundred bucks diff so I went for it. I just finished using it for the first time and the first thing I fed it was a COUPLE OF ROUNDS FULL OF BIG KNOTS. I was impressed. It tore them up. BTW nice video.
Shows us nothing. Go use it
Keep an eye on the wedge where it connects to the ram. That's the weak spot. Broke after 10 hours of use. Had a fabricator replace the 1/4 inch plate with 1/2 inch. Advised Champion of the issue. No response of any kind. Very poor customer service
Can average person remove blades to sharpen if so do you need mechanic ramp thing
Is there a vacuum on it or does the mower supply enough blowing capacity?
Very cleaver idea with the weather stripes. Thanks for making this video & sharing your knowledge. ❤
I am not gonna subscribe too much poor mouthing
It’s a $25 part, what did you expect. It works just fine it’s all about the prep guy.
Jack the other side up it will flow faster
you called this professional install?
CHINA QUALITY
I've had the same ZT 2760 HD for 17 years. Only had to take it in once to replace a bent push rod. Still has the original belts. Kept the oil changed and the blades sharp. Serviced the hydros when needed (did it yesterday as a matter of fact) only part I ever had to put on was a new fuel shutoff solenoid. And the occasional adjustment to steering and parking brake and such. Still runs great. You got a good one that will last forever.
Would you recommend the bagger. I love like to get one for yearly leaves clean up
Great design the only tweak I would have made would be to cut the leaves off of the two vertical pallets put an eyelet into each of the vertical joists of the sides and put a chain or the ability to anchor down a couple of 2 * 4 is or something just to keep things from falling out of the front. But again great design and thanks for the inspiration
Very fine idea for the pads with minimum waste! The only fabrication tip I would offer is to run your weld bead hotter and slow down. You need more metal to fill your joints and your welds are "cold". I would easily pay $200 for those pads, once youve got the fabrication tightened up. I'm making some soon!
I've had my 48" HD since 2018 when they came out redesigned. I waited on the bagger system because it wasn't released yet and I noticed the same issue right away. I changed mine almost immediately to a tensioned threaded rod and it worked great for quite a while. What I didnt notice over time (years later) was that it was prematurely wearing the belt because when you engage it, the initial torque has nowhere to go without the spring. I ended up fraying the belt and caught it before it broke. I picked up a new one but didnt realize how expensive they are, about $80! I'm going back to the spring system but exchanging it for a heavier spring like @jetthelooter mentioned. I think thats the best bet over time. Great vid , thanks for sharing!
Noth'n better than sawdust in your fuel
POORLY DESIGNED
What brand / from where are the skids?
Thanks so much for this video! Super helpful.
How tall are you? Does that mower feel cramped?
Pro tip, get a used 1/2 ton chain hoist and find a garage joist or a strong tree branch to lift up the mower instead of wheel ramps and janky hi-lift jacking.
I have the work around for that annoying webbing that keeps blowing out. From what I understand Gravely has been saying for YEARS that they are working on it but they apparently are NOT. So what people have done is pull the webbing out and then they get the real heavy chicken wire and cut it a little bigger than the original webbing. Then when they put it in the slot that it goes in it forms like a C and is springy and that seems to hold in place. I have no choice but to try it.
Great idea. When I looked on Amazon, you can cut one of the wires to make the view normal instead of mirrored.
Super pomysł. Pozdrawiam serdecznie
Added bonuses are 1) I'm vision impaired & can find the zerks regardless of dirt, snow or lower light 2) I'm new at farming & can better-remember where each location is. I'm learning all I can in advance if adding a mid-PTO & front snowblower attachment at my 50-hour service.
Get lost FOOL!!!!
Best I have seen.
I purchased one of those subsoilers from tsc And my little L2501 folded it backwards like a pretzel I was so disappointed
Death trap
Thank you for making this video. I have the same mower with the same problems with the blow out of the net in the bagging unit. I thought about weather stripping. How did you attach? Glue? I used more screws for the netting blowing out but now I have a problem again. Any suggestions?
Lowe’s sell square cut pieces of small expanded metal you can cut and put into the top of the bagger
What type of router are you recommending for this job? Do you have a link
Where did you order your kit from and a kit #
Dragonflies will love this. You should have no mosquito problems.
Less cutting, more reviewing. Watching maybe 5-10 minutes of actual mowing would have been fine. What I was hoping for was more on any services, problems, likes and dislikes of the mower itself rather than the deep dive in the bagger.
You didn't get a lemon, you got a Kioti. Just saying
I have a Gravely ZT44 HD with the same bagging attachment and my lid screen also blew out on as well. brought the bagger attachment into the dealer to fix the issue and they added more fasteners to secure the screen and it has been good ever since their repair. Do you have a p/n for the larger size bags for this bagger?
What is the length span from point A to B? Was your pole 10 ft above ground? Looking to do something similar above my pickleball court just trying to figure out how tall I need my poles. We are looking at a 30 ft span pole to pole. Thx for the video
I could help but notice. That the oil filter is turned in the up position. According to the manual, it should be turned in the down position.
Thanks, I'll have to check that. It came assembled.
Where did you get your hog panels from?
