    Interesting. I’m thinking of getting a 3rd function kit for my dk. Don’t have an explicit need for it yet. Great video. Thank you.

      Thanks! Install was a lot easier then I thought it would be. I just wish it came with some better protection for the hydraulic hoses.

    I am thinking about doing the exact same thing with the hoses coming off the valve body, put them in the UP position like you have done. A little more protection from sticks on the ground. The dealer installed mine before he brought the tractor out. Can’t wait to see what you got for a grapple!

      I don't understand why they would have the hoses down like that. The way my backyard is they would have been ripped off on the first drive.

    Thank you for the detailed and step by step process! Doesn't seem too difficult at all. just takes some time. I plan to do this on my Kioti RX7320 at some point. Probably also run a set of hi flow lines from the rear as I think these joystick 3rd functions are better suited for low flow, intermittent use like grapples and not so much for hi flow augers etc. Thank you!

      Glad I could help you out! High flow lines would be a great idea!

    Do you think any dielectric grease on the electrical connections would do any good? Yours is a much better system than is build for the other model I watched. Much simpler and straightforward.

      Probably wouldn’t hurt. I need to get back under there and tie the wires up better. The CK series doesn’t look like much fun. That one you do have to take the tire off.

    I had a thought on when and if you need to remove your rear wheels. What if you picked up one of those car movers with casters…I think HarborFreight has them fairly inexpensive…lift the back with the backhoe outriggers, slid the car mover under, take the wheel off and let it rest in the mover. You may need to ratchet strap it on, then roll it away. Do your work, till it back in place (minor adjustments with riggers to line it up), bolt it on, raise it up, remove car mover…done. I don’t know if that would work, but that wheels gotta be a monster to take off and put on!! Nice job! Watched another guy…SIX HOURS!!😖😁 grapple will be a life changer no doubt!!👍🏻

      I was thinking something along those same lines. I think I might not have a choice whenever I get around to adding another rear remote. I don't need it now, but eventually want to get a hydraulic top link.

    What's the noise like in your DK cab? I'm considering a DK4210. For instance can you use the phone on the tractor or is it too loud to hear??

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not the most quiet, but it isn't loud either. Any time I've gotten a call I usually just throttle down and it's fine. Definitely too loud for speakerphone.

    Grapple is an awesome tool in the arsenal. Wondering if you've gone through a regen cycle on your Kioti yet?

      It’s been a great addition! Yes, I actually just went through one yesterday. I’m at 120 hrs and it’s the second time going through it.

    Where did you order your kit from and a kit #

    Have you run across folks saying not to use tape? I am getting leaks myself with this exact same kit but I didn't use tape or and kind of thread sealant.

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have. I researched it and it depends on the type of fitting. This type was one that I didn’t need it on with the compression fitting. I haven’t had a leak on it yet. Not sure what could be causing your leaks. Is it possible you may have over tightened and cracked the fitting? I had that happen on the hose for my grapple.

    • @mixedbeans
      @mixedbeans ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Curtis1824 I wonder if I over tightened. I used a couple of pliers but that is all. Didn't really have much leverage to really crank on them. I think I read somewhere that they are not really designed to be taken apart and then re-tightened but maybe that is wrong. Also was recommended on another forum to use PST.

    What is the part number for the 3rd function kit?

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lance, I believe it was DKA144. Your dealer will make sure you get the right one. I couldn't find them online anywhere.

      @@Curtis1824 Will this mess with my warranty if I install it? Maybe a question for the dealer? This is somewhere around $1500 right?

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely a question for the dealer. I wouldn’t think so though. Mine was I think $900 for the part and an extra $200 for them to install.
