      Hi Carol, I have a 32 inch inside leg. I wouldn't say I struggle with the height of the seat, but the issue with this type of bike is how wide the seat is. Because it is wide, it makes it harder to get your feet down. I would say at 29 inch, you may struggle to even get your tip toes down. It would be a case of having to bum shuffle to one side each time you stop. This said, because it is a twist and go, there are no foot controls to worry about, so in that case, you may manage. It would also be possible to have the seat customized, (just remove some of the foam and make a new cover.) Probably the answer would be a test ride. Good luck with getting some thing 👍

      Hi buddy. The ktm adventure is the exact same screen. So you only need the black part, then it will fit the smt. If I am honest, a am pretty sure you can get the parts over in America. They must have ktm dealers somewhere there. 🤔 and if not, there will be after market screen on the American market for sure, because of the adventure bikes. If you can't find any thing, let me know. May be we can send you one. Might be pricy though, with the shipping and taxed.

    K&N filters let lots of dirt thru. Keep an eye on inside the air box downstream of the filter. Paper has a much smaller particle size filtration and from test i have seen, don't block up as quick. A K&N imo is only worthwhile when the filter may get wet but surely this means the air box design is suss or you have drowned the bike.

    Hi Dean. I`m happy to find your channel especially you`re owner and not only few hours tester of the bike like in most of the yt videos. The main reason for me was to hear opinion about riding comfort and in above of all about a bumping effect on smooth road. Do you consider "bobbing" effect as kind of shaking or jumping of the front ? In my case its mainly perceptible on smooth road, in the range of 50 - 65 km/h when I feel this unpleasant effect. It`s very visible during the night when you see your light beam shaking. Above the mentionned speeds its dissepaering. I set the front for maximum confort and it`s better but still here and very uncomfortable. I also have other negative feelings on the engine vibration, when I push on above 5k rpms the vibration makes the view in the mirrors gets hazy, I hope its normal behaviour of this engine. Last not least is the front brakes: I`m a very sensitive person and during breaking with the first bites I feel something like oscillation on the breaking lever, it isn`t so smooth like I experienced on previousely owned duke 125 and 390. Generally I love this bike and I`m persuaded I`ll do dozens of thousands of kms but it looks It`s less perfect than I imagined or it`s presented in all those yt reviews.

    • @dean-does-stuff-81
      @dean-does-stuff-81 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah, i think i might know the answer to some of your issues. The front wheel bobbing has gone away on my bike now. I put this down to properly bedding in the tire. And i suspect that the brakes are the same. You need to get out and push the bike hard for a few hundred miles. It is a super moto after all. The bike is definitely happier when ridden harder. As for the vibes, i have them too, although it does seem to come and go a little bit. So that might also go away as the engine loosens up. I would wait until 6000 miles before i would really decide. And not just 6000 motor way miles, a good mixture of high revving and mile mumching riding.. I took the bike up to 120 K on the motor way for the first time last week (the speed limit here in the netherlands is just 100k during the day time hours, and only after 7 can you go faster. I experianced a lot of vibes. So i will keep you posted on that) I am heading over to england on friday with some dutch guys and we will be at donington on the sunday for the BSB race. So i will get a good run on it.

      Hi, Thanks for the compliment. I actually sold the Forza and is now replaced with a KTM 890 SMT ( brand new as of 3 weeks ago). The reason I bought the Forza qt the time, was that I wasn't totally sure how much I was still feeling the motor biking vibes, and wanted some thing cheap (ish) that would allow me to get out on 2 wheels. As it happened, I really loved that bike, but was craving the bigger bikes I am well versed with from my long biking career. This all said, I am missing the scooter already, and have my eye on the TMAX 560, and will likely get one next year to go along side the KTM.

      I have answered this before. Basically any bike can be toured on. The thing that lets it down will be fuel consumption. At 60mph, you can get pretty ok mpg, but in reality, if you are riding at 70/75, you would be better to get a larger bike. Like the 750nc Honda for example.

    Thinking about one of these. But I have three questions. Firstly the seat height (780mm). I am 5 feet 6 inches/168cm. I am concerned that it will be a bit of a stretch getting my feet on the ground, especially with the wide seat. Secondly, some reviews have said the rear suspension is hard and non-adjustable. Is this so? I like a softer suspension. And thirdly is the info display hard to see in bright sunlight? It looks like it might be.

    • @dean-does-stuff-81
      @dean-does-stuff-81 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. You will need to test ride it for height. As it has such a wide seat that you may struggle to put your feet down. 2 the suspension isn't the best. You don't want it too soft. It is adjustable for compression on the rear. 3 The screen is excellent and always visible.
