David Moore on Ministry teams: Are they worth the pain?
How to best structure ministry teams in your church? And how to equip your team leaders for joyful service?
Team leaders do the bulk of their ministry in between events not at events.
How can someone become a more fruitful team leader?
Why all conversations with your team fit into four categories - and how most team leaders get this wrong.
David Moore is the executive pastor of Hunter Bible Church in Newcastle, New South Wales.
He has written a new book, The Team Leader’s Handbook, which will be widely read by churches and ministry teams all around.

    No parent going through painful struggles related to one or more children's acceptance of Christ should be wondering if the reason their children are not coming to faith is because they are not chosen for salvation (in the Calvinist sense). The verse below shows that unconditional election CANNOT be right doctrine: 2 Peter 1:10-11 ESV Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The 'falling' mentioned in verse 10 above must relate to falling from salvation. We know this because the discussion BEFORE it and AFTER it relates to election - to being saved. Hebrews 3:12-14 ESV Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. The author of Hebrews describes those to whom he is writing as BROTHERS. And yet he instructs his brothers not to allow themselves to be subject to an influence that ultimately leads them to fall away. Again - inconsistent with unconditional election. And as regards anguish that our children DO have free will and that we have influenced them not to have faith - God will NEVER allow any person who is willing to accept him in particular circumstances from missing out on those circumstances - even if a child's parents are not central in creating those circumstances. Free will therefore NEVER should be the cause of anguish regarding the eternal destiny of children.

    Yes, A new brand of Anglican Click Bait: Thoughts: It wasn't intended to to be a theological congress. Nor a Anglican congress so, the parallel to Gafcon seems to odd to me. Yes It was a mixture of Very Good and not so. Overall this chat I found odd mix . Almost in praise of those from Sydney Anglicans history. Enjoyed Vaughan, Robert and others talks mentioned by Mark they were Outstanding . So, the Congress was built around the 25+ gaps in reaching the Great commission that were identified . so 1/3 of program was to think tank ways forward in the Great Commission extending the listening process. If wasn't just to get just academics and Theological Educated Christians. to rule the future direction. But the diversity of participants added to moving to solutions So. From the two interviewed I wasn't surprised at the views expressed. Yes,It is a Pity that Dominic and a few of your previous guests weren't there. Thanks

    If God destroyed Sodom and Gomorra for the same sin as some vicars are keen to endorse, (and force their parishioners to accept) then God will also destroy them and their false teachings…to preserve the C of E …they need to either, give up this sinful practice and ask God to assist them to do so, or leave, and form their own indulgent ‘church.’ Why are Welby and his Bishops so intent on being disobedient to Gods clearly written word? Do they know best? This is not a minor sin in Gods eyes…it is a major satanic stumbling block. By endorsing this practice, Welby is in fact telling those who indulge that God will turn a blind eye to it…whilst knowing He will not. How is this helping them? Welby should refer them to Gods word on this and it should then be their decision to accept Gods word and change or reject Gods advice and leave His church. It is not for us to judge them or indulge them. It is for us to inform them. And more certainly to the point…it is NOT for them to change Gods precepts or His church. Leave the C of E if you cannot accept you must change.

  • @gillhall7590
    @gillhall7590 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    It is not for Welby and his Bishops to change the Church of England s doctrine…(Gods written word) it is for those practicing gay vicars, to take themselves out of the C of E and form their own church…If they will not or cannot, preach within the written word of God and accept all of Gods precepts, designed to help mankind. This is defying God. How can they continue putting their own needs before God, whilst knowing He describes this as a sin and an abomination. God is clear He loves them, but the sin is an abomination and they need to ask Him to take them out of this sin and restore them..They need faith to believe He will do so.

    The Church of England under the Disgraceful Woke Welby has turned Pagan. . Away from Gods word and sound advice. The woman vicar has got her position totally wrong, making herself sound pious, and superior, by positioning herself outside of Gods word,as if He and the other Evangelicals who do keep to Gods written advice, are uncaring and cold towards gay people. This is untrue. God loves everyone but they have a choice to make if they are gay…and want to represent God….they must ask God to change them and remove their desires ( which he will do). ….they must not expect God to change.

    Thank you, these are strange and troubling times indeed. Great Britain did so much to promote the Word of God throughout all the world…and God blessed our country as a consequence. It is something we should be proud of. Unfortunately, somehow, we now we have a woke shepherd leading this once respected and dignified Church of England….and he sees fit to disregard defending Gods written word, and seemingly disrespects our country’s historical role in the preservation of Gods wise precepts; designed to support and prosper mankind. It is not within the remit of this Arch Bishop or any other mere mortal, to cherry pick and change the context of Gods original Scripture…perhaps he is too arrogant and prideful to understand that we all need Gods advice on how to conduct our lives. Welby it seems, stubbornly refuses to obey The Word of The Lord. This is about obedience. This is not about gay rights…gay people have already won the equality war. They are not persecuted in the UK , thank goodness, and they can choose how to live their lives, as indeed, we all choose, and this choice is solely between them and their Creator. It is not for us to judge them…God is the judge…and they can explain to Him why they decided to ignore His guidance…But it is for us, to refer them to Gods written word on the subject of homosexuality, and then they can make an informed choice, whether they wish to challenge The Lord, or submit to his precepts…So, why is Welby (and some other Bishops, so insistent on re-interpreting Scripture to suit their own convenience? Scripture is quite clear on the matter. This is not a grey area. Welby should Stop trying to preach a different Bible. Or, preferably…he should retire.

    People who put their theology ahead of their humanity might be surprised if Jesus disagreed with them. We will never know, of course, but the anti Pope and anti Welby factions of the Catholic and Anglican churches are obviously lining up with the Christian Nationalists. Just found this; About ten years ago was wondering about why I was not living a Christian life and signed up to an Alpha course in Salisbury England. I believe it was a desperate attempt to assert the life and times of Christ based on original sin. When I questioned the lack of evidence for what I was being told I was shut down and told not to challenge the words of god or the inspired stories. The words Charismatic and persuasion, should be replaced with indoctrination of blind faith. Kind regards Tim
