I have the xh2s, and you can definitely use a dummy battery and close the door fully, there in a little rubber tip you can get out to be able to get the cable through and then close the door, i have seen some other people in other videos say the same thing, and when i got the camera a investigate this matter and i was able to figure this out 🎉

If that camera only had clog2 straight out of camera it would make r5ii a little less relevant at the price point. But luckily we have zv-e1, a7cii, a7iv, fx3, a7siii at a much better price point. I know some overheat but not at 4k24

The Canon R5 mark ii is limited or “crippled” due to the new battery needed to shoot 24fps. Dummy batteries won’t work only 30fps huge bummer.

Cool idea, though I'm really struggling to understand how a few bits of metal and a some basic electronics are worth $330 USD. I'd be a lot more interested at $199 or something, but as is it just feels massively overpriced for what you get as there's no way this thing costs more than $100 USD to actually make. Sadly seems yet another case of something being expensive not due to how much it costs to manufacture, but rather just because it has "Cine" in the name.

the cineback middle is made of plastic. how much weight do you want to put on it.

I like this idea, but the ergonomics of this on my s5ii cineback just don’t make sense. It’s already hard enough to adjust camera settings with my cables going through the right side. I think this quick release system would actually work really well for a large camera like the Pyxis

its just cheap 3d printed plastic and 2 steel plates. i have it and am scared for my camera
