Dense? Not you! 😲 You are always there with the tough questions! I haven't played with this spread, but it might be a fun video! I'll seriously consider it. In short (because I always like to try to answer your questions), let me attempt a partial spread. I tossed out some cards and here's what I came up with. Question: How will this new job pan out? #1) 10 of Swords. There are a lot of issues surrounding this job and, at first blush, it looks like I may end up being highly dissatisfied with it. #2) 3 of Wands. Why? Because I was hoping for the freedom to expand my expertise and, subsequently, my resume. #3) 2 of Pentacles. But I will have a hard time finding my footing as everyone around me is trying to balance there own needs with the job and they are not focused on working together. #4) 4 of Pentacles. I won't have a clear indication of whether or not I should share my expertise and try to help the situation, or pull back and wait to see what happens. #5) Knight of Wands. While the fast-paced environment I saw when I interviewed looked enticing, I will come to find that it is more chaotic and disorganized which will eventually become very stressful. #6) Page of Wands [expect the unexpected; a new direction] I may be pleasantly surprised after I settle in. My initial reaction might simply be my lack of experience working in such a fast-paced environment, so rather than the outcome being negative, maybe what I'm seeing is a series of personal challenges that I will need to overcome in order to fit in. I didn't finish the spread to keep this simple. So again, this was an off-the-cuff pull of the cards. Your first question was about 3 and 5. Could it be that the environment is so (#5) chaotic from lack of good leadership that (#3) each man is an island unto himself. The "feel" around the querent is not something he created, nor is it something he can control, but the effect of that environment (#3) is influencing the very attitudes of the people subjected to that setting? Hmmmm. You can look at the 4 of Pentacles (#4) as pulling back and refusing to share his own knowledge...OR...you can see it as him managing the resources he brings to this environment, easing into the situation without giving everything at once. Maybe he provides a calming influence which ultimately (#6) allows him to earn the respect of the team and therefore allows him to take this environment in a different direction. Fair warning, I pulled and read these cards randomly, early in the morning, before my 2nd cup of coffee! 😱 So take that into consideration. I hope that help show how 3&5 and 4&6 could actually be different. The influence by #5 could actually be causing the actions of #3. And the actions taken in #6 could be the direct result of #4. Looks like it's more of a "distance" issue (for lack of a better term). Cards 3 and 4 deal with the querent and outside influences that DIRECTLY relate to the issue discussed. If, for instance, talking about a work situation at the office, the outside influences could be the co-workers, boss, etc . The querent's influence pertains to his experience with the work being discussed, his achievements, etc. Positions 5 and 6, as I see them, are more about LIFE that is happening at the time of the reading and how it relates, influences, helps and hinders (if at all) the topic of the reading. The outside, in this case, could point to other issues happening in the world, the querent's circle of friends, etc. Like, for instance, the environment in the office can be good (card 3) but the market may be crashing (card 5). Or the client has just lost a dear friend to a car accident (not related to the matter itself but certainly important to the querent and perhaps negatively influencing his drive to fight for goals...) That's what I mean by "distance". Number 6 could be showing how capable/able the querent is to handle these facts so that they do not damage his plans and aspirations. I hope I got it right ! You are so kind! Thanks for the support. My first video was October 31, 2021. It has taken awhile to figure out how I want to use this channel. I really enjoy paying forward all the lessons I've learned from my gifted Tarot coach to my years doing Fairs and Festivals. It can feel like an impossible jump from the spiritual aspect to the business aspect, one which most readers simply can't do. I just hope I can show that it can be done without giving up anything. Hello! That could work, depending on the intention you set for those positions. If you look at that possibility across the 15 or 16 examples I've given here, it could change the perception quite a bit. If you look at the mainstream, popular meanings of these positions, #7 is considered YOU, which leaves it open to so many interpretations. But I would have to agree with you that what happened in the past and the environment that has influenced us could certainly bring us to an opinion on our lives. For me, I tend to focus on the question or the main issue, not life in general (which ALSO changes the perception), and I have found that #3 Foundation of the issue and #5 What's on your mind (could easily be Hopes and Fears, too) would bring me to #7 which would be your point of view. I see #7 as "hey, I've given the situation a lot of thought and I've considered all the ways I could handle it, and this is probably the path I will take if you don't give me any better advice because MY way has worked for me in the past." Which by the way, doesn't mean it will work in the future. So I use #7 as a warning that sometimes we need to rethink how we look at a situation before we simply react to it. Why are we motivated to take the action we're thinking about? Anyway, thank you for your comment. There are no right or wrong solutions here. They are ALL valid! Hope to see you here again. Lynn 💖💖

Thanks for your comments. I do appreciate them! I know of others in the UK who talk about doing fairs and festivals. The local metaphysical/New Age shops usually know when and where they are held. Some actually host sidewalk events of their own. I would love to bypass all the extra work of setting up and tearing down, and simply do all my readings online. Thank you! That's a very good question! I will add it to my short list! Personally, I think the Celtic Cross is appropriate for just about any question. The only time I change to another spread is when I'm in a hurry (3-5 card quick answer spread) or if someone has to choose between two options. Then I use an 8 card options spread. Hello Danielle! Thanks for watching! I am a positional reader. I want all the help I can get from Spirit, and I believe the best way to get it is to set very clear intentions on the positions - whether it's a Celtic Cross or a 3 card spread. Second, have clear intentions with the meanings of your cards, too. This way, when Spirit wants to get a specific message to you they know exactly what cards to put where. Then you set it all aside and go with the first thing that crosses your mind. I call those intuitive hits. One reason why I'm so partial to the Celtic Cross is because it covers both "what is and what needs to be" in one spread. As a festival reader I need to know the backstory very quickly. The Foundation card and the Past card give me an idea of what happened and how we got here. The rest of the cross lets me know what is currently happening and how the querent is thinking about it, while the staff gives me the path forward - or "what needs to be." Again, if you set the intention, with good positions AND good, clear questions, you shouldn't have to guess. If the 8 of Cups shows up in the Past position, we know that is not "what needs to be" because it's already happened (if not still in the process). If it shows up in the Future (or what's coming next), it's a pretty clear indication of "what needs to be." My good friend Dee (if you've ever watched my Me & Dee series or any of our podcasts) is a big proponent of pulling clarifiers if she doesn't get a clear answer. But it's important that each clarifier has a specific purpose for being pulled. So for example, let's say you are asking if there will be issues with anyone at Thanksgiving and you get the Knight of Swords. Both your brother and your father have that personality and you want to know who this card represents in this reading. You would simply ask "is this card representing my brother?" Or, "is this card my father?" Or, you could pull the Knight out of the spread and lay 1-3 cards on either side of it, with the intention that the left side represents one of them and the right side represents the other. Then allow your intuition to speak to you. You will find that when you trust in what you see in your head, your readings will become so much more clear. Hope that helps. Lynn 💖💖

Hello Maureen, thank you so much for your kind words. First, #7 in its mainstream definition is supposed to be YOU. I believe it's meant to mean who the querent is at this time, and what they bring to the situation or how they see the situation from their perspective. What made more sense to me was this. Card #5 tells us what's on your mind. If the querent has a problem, I'm sure they have already given it a lot of thought or they wouldn't have asked for a reading. They have probably contemplated how it started, who's to blame for it, and various scenarios on how they would like to handle it. Now let's say that #7 is the 8 of Cups. Walking away from problems is either a learned response - something they saw their parents do, or they discovered it on their own and saw that it works. So now, it's their #1 go-to response whenever the heat is turned up. IN THIS SITUATION, is that the right response? Or will it make the current problem worse? Or will it simply leave it unresolved, only to repeat itself at a later date? Over many many readings, I discovered that the querent's knee jerk reaction to the problem wasn't necessarily a healthy one. That's how I came to modifying #7. "How can you make it worse?" Or, "how can you sabotage your own best efforts to resolve the situation." Since I don't use reversals, I needed a position that showed the "other side" or the shadow side of the situation moving forward, and #7 happened to work best for me. So what is the shadow side of the Knight of Swords moving forward? Every card has one. To me, it would be rushing to judgment without any forethought. And I have found that combining #3 (what started this whole thing) with #7, will often explain where their anticipated reaction stems from. Draw the spread layout on a piece of paper, fill in the description for each position, and run through the storyline without any cards. Make up a few stories and see if the progression makes sense to you. If you move from one card to the next and think to yourself, "wait a minute! there's a hole or a gap in the story here!", that's where you may want to modify it to make sense to you.
