@ We are not buffet/smorgasbord people 🤣 We had a delicious dinner at John J. Jeffries restaurant inside the Lancaster Arts Hotel, and we also ate at a small but apparently popular cafe called Gracie’s. We had lunch at the Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe when we visited the farmers market (also your suggestion 😉) and then we visited the Fox Meadows Creamery for lunch & ice cream before heading home. I was torn between Fox Meadows and Lapp Family Farm for ice cream! But we were able to sample the Lapp’s ice cream at the Green Dragon farmer’s market and Kitchen Kettle Village- so best of both worlds! 😆

@ oh wow! You hit some great spots! 👏👏🤩 I have not heard of John J Jeffries - I’ll have to look it up. And I have heard of Gracie’s and Fox Meadows but have not been there yet. You have given me a couple ideas for some future videos 😍😍 It’s so cool you went all those great places, even making it to Green Dragon! I do want to do a video on where to eat that’s NOT a buffet because not everyone wants or can have that. My boys who are 18-23 LOVE Shady Maple and since they only get to go once maybe twice a year to PA. we take them there. However my husband and I are now eating very differently since his double bypass heart surgery so I’m thinking non buffet restaurants are our new norm. Though I’m sure once a year we will still take the boys to a buffet 🥰😆 Thanks for your comments - it’ was so fun to hear about your trip ❤️

However, I would not have time to fit it in my “One Amazing Day” in Lancaster. If I go to Dutch Wonderland, I’m going to want to be there practically all day and then I’d be so tired from all the excitement I would just go crash at the hotel 🤣😂👍 maybe fit a dinner in first 😅. Go to TH-cam and look up California amesument Parks and you will find the 1 that I was talking about. I hope that next year I can go to Lancaster county for putt putt golf ⛳, good delicious ice cream, check out the train station the train ride, and then wounder land too. @@JJskiddy hi there 😊 So I just double checked their website and they new rooms they rebuilt after the fire are supposed to be opening now through the end of the year. Those rooms will be pretty awesome and updated. Now the front rooms have have had a refresh. I usually stay there every other September or so. And this past September when I stayed there, they had added some nicer furniture and a bigger TV and the showers were a bit updated too. They also painted the room too and added new bedding. So it’s an improvement but not the same caliber as like Amish View Inn and Suites down the road along 340. So as far as some advice on where to stay, it depends on your nudge and what is most important to you as far as lodging is concerned. Like for me, I love to stay somewhere where I can walk to things and have nice views and see buggies go by. Which is why I like BIH. Now for absolute comfort and a bit of luxury, Amish View Inn and Suites is super nice with a delicious breakfast. But it’s more money. If u have more questions let me know. There are also 2 different inns in the country that are nice and quiet - Harvest Drive Family Inn as well as Orchard Inn

@@ElleLiving Hi thanks....i have been going to Lancaster for many many years before the Outlets opened(WHich personally i think ruined it)....Like i said we stay mostly at Fulton but have stayed at AMish VIew....very very nice......Bird in Hand was years ago and was pretty much in need of reno from what i remember.....the back bldg (Pool bldg) is that what was rebuilt??? when we were just there i should of walked over from Marketplace.....ps have reservations this march for Best Western Intercourse....that is new try for us.....But we go 2x a yr Spring /Fall so wanted to try different place...Thanks !!!

@ yeah I never go to the outlets … you sure have some history! How fun that you get to go so often:) So I don’t think the back building at BIH has undergone renovations, but not positive. The front room have undergone some refreshing. But the left side of the front building (if u r looking at it from the yard) is all new since the explosion and fire of last December. So those rooms are more upgraded and more suite type rooms. They should be pretty nice ;) Hopefully some are open now :) Thanks for sharing all you info!

@@ellyne3863 Michigan is on our sooner-than-later list to visit! It is the last state that my husband needs to check off his list to have visited all 50 states!! It’s not last bc we aren’t excited to visit but bc it’s pretty far up there and not on the way to anything for us. We are in Oklahoma now and drive to PA often but that’s just not on the way 😆 But we are really hoping to go within the next year or 2 👍

@@ElleLiving wow all 50 states? That’s quite an accomplishment! you will absolutely LOVE Michigan. I’ve traveled extensively myself and there’s nothing like it. My favorite cities are - Holland, Petosky, Mackinac island, traverse city, Rochester. It’s an exceptional state, so much beauty and great people too 🩷 Michiganders take a lot of pride in their state and you’ll see why! 😊
