Funny video 😂 Thanks for sharing
Nice video 👍 Thanks for sharing
Probably works good, but it's not worth 17 thousand dollars
Took my $700 heating bill down to 77 bucks this month. Sure, it's an investment, for me it works. I use the waste from my company which is my "free" heat. It will pay for itself in just about 6 years depending on how long our winters are. My house has never been this comfortable in the winter. I'd have paid 50k for this thing had i known they worked so well. Thanks for watching
Cool Jack - nice clean up. Stay safe.
The percent number on your graph has nothing to do with your heat exchanger cleanliness. To see if you made a difference monitor how fast your water temperature recovers. The reaction chamber / refractory chamber cleanliness will determine the percentage numbers you get. Also be careful around the thermocouple on the left side looking in from the back. I also try to brush the thermocouple clean so the numbers / percentage will be more sensitive. Great job cleaning though I can tell your burning seasoned wood
Nice Video Jack Its gotta be GREAT keeping the wood out of the house !!! Your lady is probably pretty happy about the logs not being on the yard anymore ! 😊 In doing a lot of sharing and helping with the new wood yard you still wanna both be fair and respectful on what is all gonna be happening ! Kinda like a marriage !😊 You have a Good Day 😊
Looks like that vacuum you bought is married!!! lol
🤣🤣🤣 I see what you did there!! Well played 🤜🤛
@ 👍🍺
Great job handsome!
Hi Derek Wondering if i could be included as well in the handsome group ?? if I grow a beard !! LOL😊
@kendriedger151 Ken .. you're in!
@@dereksstuff8395 Hahaha Thanks 😊
🤣🤣🤣 you just made me spit my water out. I appreciate the love 🤜🤛😘
Evening Jack. Very thorough boiler cleaning. You're doing well with the wood.
I'm pleased with the consumption so far too, I'm trying to take care of this thing., appreciate you brother 🤜🤛
Great video thanks 😊
Thanks for watching! 👍
Jack, if it has a pleated car like filter that fine ash will clog it quickly, try taking it out if it's like that and tap it with a wooden dowel to knock the ash off of the pleats. I do this with my craftsman shop vacs. I only had to replace one filter, which an ember got between the pleats and burnt the filter.
Good advice! I'll try that out! I'm probably just gonna stick with the shovel it out method, cause i ain't gonna stop every 2 minutes to tap a filter 🤣 end of season when I do my final clean out I'll take the blower and send it 🤣🤣 cheers man
@LogCabinFirewood I go through the same issue cleaning the pellet stove. Wood stove I rarely vacuum out only at the end of the season.
Great videos Jack, I also have the same machine HDX 760, third winter now and very happy with it. I agree the turbulators are kind of a pain, but I believe they are important for the transfer of heat to the heat exchanger. Will be interesting to see by removing them how much of a difference it will make in the burn cycle.
@@kenkimball8395 I'm still hitting 101% to 105% every burn cycle. No difference as of yet, both dealers ive talked to told me to take them out and scrap them from the jump. I only kept them to actually see what they did for first 2 months, now I'll see what they do the next few with out. Ive read on many forums they were only installed to achieve a better epa rating when they were being tested and all they really do is trap some of the fine particulate from going up the stack. 🤷♂️ 5 days in, i see absolutely no difference, charts still look the same.
The manufacturer puts the turbolators in there for a reason. As long as the unit is under warranty I would put them in there
Every dealer says to take them out 🤣🤣 I'm actually getting way better burn rates now with them out too. They were only installed to gain a better epa rating, other than that useless.
I run a central boiler e-classic 1450 and have the same problem with my ash vac, the fine ash cloggs the filter and suction is lost in about 2 minutes
Yeah, That thing clogged up super fast. I'm gonna try bigger shop vac next time, just gotta be careful i don't suck any hot ashes up. Thanks 💪
You mentioned getting done for evening and getting ready for work.. What is it you do for work ?? No offense just curious
10 years on the railroad.
@LogCabinFirewood very cool.. Mechanic??
Yeah splitting pine by hand sucks! Good on you giving it a go 💪
My x27 will be here tomorrow 💪 you inspire me!!!! Gotta get this old man back in shape 🤜🤛
@LogCabinFirewood I need to gain about 10 pounds lol 😅 😂
@Ozarkfirewoodandlawncare i need to lose another 20!!!
Is that the pb-9010t blower? That’s what I have . Awesome blower . But I’m a lil guy , so I have to watch if I’m walking backward and it’s at full throttle . Damn near tripped up a few times and it almost blew me over and spilled my beer.
Yeah that's the 9010t best blower on the market 🤣 it will definitely blow you over if you're not careful.💪💪 Thanks man
Way to stay on top of it, that thing didn’t even look like it needed cleaning! Easier to do it often, and I’m sure better for the boiler too.
The cleaner these are the better they run, so really I should be doing this every 2 weeks or so 🤷♂️
Still pretty clean relatively for the second cleaning 👍 Dry wood and meticulous cleaning 😊 Good video brother.
Yep, Dry wood is key! 👍 thanks man
Sycamore sucks. Hard to split and as you said, it burns like paper. But that stove is doing a good job .
I had zero issues splitting this sycamore. Its was some of the straightest wood I've ever split!!!.
I was holding my breath for you LOL. My boiler does not have as fine an ash.
Stuff is super super fine!!!! Like baby powder 🤣🤣 thanks man 🤜🤛
Looks like your doing a great job cleaning your boiler jack . The vacuum looks like a good tool to help you in the cleaning process . Thank you for protecting your lungs buddy ❤
I'm gonna end up using my shop vac, this vacuum don't suck like it should!!!
Big poof thought the echo blew up
Lots of dust, its gonna be awesome when I clean this out end of season!!!
Your attention to cleaning your boiler will really make a difference in its longevity. Good job Jack!
Trying to protect my investment 💪💪 thanks man
Thanks for showing the Central boiler and how efficient it can be with proper maintenance. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks man 💪
Hi Dave I've noticed on all your comments on different channels you always end with Stay Hydrated ! I can understand that with temperatures outside of 80 and 90 degrees F ....but this winter ! 😊
@kendriedger151 lots of us in the Winter do not drink enough fluids to keep up with our bodies. Thats why I always end my comments with Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Not sure on ash vacs, I’ve seen one that was horrible, and another that had insane suction. I’ve never owned one though brother so my knowledge is limited to say the least. OWB didn’t look too filthy. 👍
If ya burn good dry wood, they practically clean themselves 💪 This ash vac sucks. And not the way I need it too
@ lol
I believe individual states still have their own bs regulations though. I would always check.
I would hope anyone buying an almost 30k investment for their home would check that first, thats kinda common sense💪
@LogCabinFirewood people don't have common sense anymore
Not my problem 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
😱
Where is the "free" part? I see about $50,000. Looks like you deserve a spam report.
Well, when you own and run a firewood business, you tend to end up with free wood, that you won't sell to customers. So that right there is my free heat. 💪 spam away my friend, I actually encourage it😘
Nice boiler.I never did burn green wood.
Howdy, we've always been far enough ahead with wood we have never had to burn green either. Thanks for watching.
Is there piping under ground to the house how does this thing work lmk
Great question, I actually answered that in another short and I also documented a bunch of me installing everything. Go check em out. Thanks
H.O.P.E That's not the one for that veterans camp ground is it??
@@jimmieburleigh9549 H.o.p.e is the cancer benefit and retreat we split wood for.
Your thinking of Hoosier Firewood Hysteria, that is coming up April 4th and 5th 2025. September 12th 2025 is date for H.O.P.E.
Lol I figured I'd have it bass akwards.. So hope gets the firewood ready before hand for the retreat to to use for retreat and buy ??? Cool
@jimmieburleigh9549 Hope sells the firewood, to be able to provide everything that they do for patients. Watch my video back from back in August where I interviewed Mr Barb, the lady that runs the Hope house.I provided a link below this comment
th-cam.com/video/8_9MHnxOtSY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mwcwEes_-AWy8JOl
And it is all sold and gone. Ready for H.O.P.E 2025!!!
This year will be alot of fun too💪
@@LogCabinFirewood both previous years have been a blast.
Awesome!
Yeah, it was incredible what we all did in such a short time
@LogCabinFirewood What's the date this year? Sorry but.... where is it?
@@dereksstuff8395 Stewartstown PA September 12th 2025
I would love to help looks like a lot of fun
@@mikegeist-ds1mw September 12th 2025!!!! Come on out 💪
I’d like to have got in on it with my Fiskars axe JUST TO STAY IN SHAPE. Besides, I sorta like hand splitting. It’s not nearly as productive as a regular hydraulic or kinetic splitter, but I end up with a PERSONAL feeling of accomplishment day after day AND I appreciate the wood a lot more. 😊
Brother I can’t wait for this year. What a fantastic day we had for a phenomenal organization. Thanks for sharing man 🤘
I can't wait!!! Gonna be a good time
Too bad you can't form a Heat Co-op with you neighbors. you could connect your neighbors with heat. Thanks with a sub/likie
@@douglas9607 Thats a really great idea!!!
@@LogCabinFirewood You are already operating on an 'industrial level'. You'd need a larger boiler but we know how to fix that. cha-ching! How far are your neighbors? Keep us posted.
That's awesome man
Thanks ✌️
Make absolutely sure you check your local codes and State codes. Some require really high chimneys to get above your neighbors house roof level. It's not that cut and dry. The registrations are just catching up to the use of wood outdoor boilers. Buderus makes a combination wood boiler for indoor use as an alternative.
Well thankfully in 2018, EPA ruled wood burners to be carbon neutral, and those "regulations " as you speak of have been lowered. My neighbors wood stove smokes out the neighborhood, while my stove barely smokes at all. This particular stove also happens to be one of the Epa's top rated stoves as far as emissions go. which helped me make my choice when shopping for these. I would never put another fire inside my home. No mess, no smoke, no up every 3 hours, and insurance was lowered getting my heat outside.
It sounds like a great option. @@LogCabinFirewood
wait for about 12 years and you will have pin holes though the water jacket and water fill flood the unit. Dont ask me how i know. Central Boiler warranty is garbage. Will never buy another one.
Nothing lasts forever 🤣
Good deal with your neighbors. Always great when you help each other. We also enjoy the boiler videos. Nobody has them here with hardly any trees. Keep them coming!!😎
I'm very thankful to have the neighbors we have here. I'll keep the boiler stuff coming, I'm still super happy with it 💪
Don’t worry Jack, no one can compete with Scheib 🤣. Even Frank was saying, look at the pipes on him, they’re making his T-shirt stretch. Anyway Jack you greatly improved in your chopping!! If you have a good chiropractor I’d say keep practicing. 😉🤣
They say axe work is the best overall workout for your back and everything else involved. We'll find out when mine shows up this weekend 💪💪 thanks ✌️
Nice and clean!
@@unclev7075 thanks, i really like this thing.
What about spruce ,hemlock ,cedar ,balsam fir ?

It sucks getting old
Ain't old until we're dead!!!
Could you port the exhaust gasses through a diffuser in a box and use it as a smoker. Then, move the catalytic converter above the smoke box.
I'm sure you could build anything you want. I definitely wouldn't use these creosote makers to smoke food with!!!
That happens to the best of us brother
Yup, it sure does!!!
Hell I’m always tripping and falling over rounds. 👍
Only ONE bad fall here. That was from stumbling on the little pieces and falling BACKWARDS onto a flat 16” thick x 32” diameter “cookie” and cracked a rib. Out of action for 4 days and THEN light duty but slowly getting more intensive until a month had passed. By that time, I was back at 95%, and now 2yr later, no signs of damage. Never even went to an urgent care.
Haha me too!!!
