Our Video Submission to Chris @InTheWoodyard!!!
So back in early September 2024, Chris made a video titled " I need your help please" He asked us, his viewers to send him pictures or videos of their firewood operations or set ups, so here's ours.
Chris is the only channel I'm aloud to watch at the end of the day together since secretly I think Miss T has a crush on him.
This was all her idea, nobody made her wear a beard, she came up with the concept and did most of the takes in this video first shot. Hopefully you enjoy it, as we had a really fun time making it.
Chris, seriously thanks for all you do for the wood burning folks around the world. You've definitely inspired me to do MORE!!!!

Cool video Taryn, and kudos to the filming crew.
Thanks Marc 🧡💙
Does Jack make you wear that beard when, oh never mind lol.
Taryn we gotta try something!!! I never even though of that!!!! Thanks Heath 🧡
It's not Jack that has the crush. It's me. If anything, I'm making him trim his beard and get someone to dye it white so I can live out MY fantasies.
Great job Taryn!! We enjoyed the tour. I didn’t realize that Jack had so much firewood. Glad it’s all stacked. 😁
Howdy Colleen, yup we try and stay with about 30 cord, 10 for us ready, 10 seasoning for us, and 10 for the bundles sales. Thanks for stopping by 🤜🤛
I always know where Jack's at, playing with his wood outside. 😂
@@tarynmischke6847the jokes really do write themselves 🤣
Good stuff guys!!
Thanks a bunch, Taryn come up with cool stuff!!!
Super fun video! 😊. Really enjoyed the tour! Cheers! Andrew from NB :)
Cheers to you too Andrew! Thanks for watching!
Nice woodyard setup! Love the beard Taryn 😂
She was going for the full Chris look! 😂 I think she pulled it off ✌️
Thanks, I grew it myself!
Great video. Stacking looks nice in a yard. Jack needs to pick up his game with the commentator. 🇺🇸👏🏻
Thanks! Yeah, yeah Chris is a pro, I'm still working on the commentary 🤣🤣
Hey there Taryn...oh and you too Jack! Nice video right there I like it , I like it a lot! Thanks!
I told you by Thanksgiving!!! Trying to do "MORE" so this just happened to be in the arsenal. The things you make us come up with 🤣🤣 cheers brother hopefully see ya soon 💪
best job eye ever had!!
@@LogCabinFirewoodyour videos have opened my eyes so much, I’m starting my own firewood business as well, because of your advice.
Hey Chris, I like that beard; I like it a lot! 🫠
@@playdiscgolf1546 your gonna do great if you listen to how Chris does it!!! Thanks a bunch 🧡💙
Great video Taryn! You look fantastic and it definitely isn’t the beard 😂. Keep Jack straight!!!
Haha, I try to keep her straight, she does her best to keep me on track. Thanks Dick 🤘
I once had a dream that all the cool girls were growing beards, and I was like, 'Guess I'm not a cool girl,' but it turns out I am...just look at thing!
hi there nice show well done . best to all john
We appreciate it, hope Chris likes it too! 😎
Great video Thanks everyone for watching. Taryn is beautiful
Thanks! Taryn loves you all! 🤣

Hahaha I love it! The things that our wives do for us😂 Good job Taryn
This was literally the day after H.O.P.E she sent me a picture of the beard while we were there and was like we're making this tomorrow 🤣🤣 this was totally all her idea. She's the best 🤘 thanks Russ!!
Way tooooooo funny, you captured Chris perfectly! My “former best friend” Chris truly has touched (and I don’t mean that in a creepy way🤣)a lot of people in the Woodhound community,👍TCT
Haha, thanks Tony. Taryn loves your old best friend. She knows how much he's helped me for sure. 🤜🤛
Tony did you replace Chris with a NEW best friend? If not, it's just a matter of time at this point. And how would you know who your best friend is? Easy. It's the person in your life who brings out the BEST in you!

We need to make more fun videos like this, eh?
Great video. Very funny
Appreciate it! It was fun to make. 😎
Taryn,I’m sure you just made jack a happy man with your video on what you both do 😮😊❤
She's the best!!!!
He loves this stuff; like, literally will come to bed and turn on the chainsaw content. I opt for audible and fairytales but somehow we make it work. 😂
You're a natural Taryn. Great job on the video presentation. My wife waved hi 👋 in a video once😅.
She's a natural at everything, even scaring the bejeebers outta Chris 🤣
Most of the time I just wave hi or avoid him recording. 😅
You should have a nice looking patio/wood furnace pad if you want it. Why not
I agree, but i caught flack from family for stamping it 🤣🤣
Exactly! Now, I need him to get a shelter built over the boiler because filling that thing when it's raining is no fun.
Buy me materials for Christmas Taryn, and we can make it happen next month 🤣🤣
The star of my show is my baby horse. Previous owner had kids that would ride him as if he was a horse, as hes 115lbs was about 160 when i first got him. Hes a cross of 2 livestock gard breeds.
Awe, sounds like a sweet fur baby 😍 thanks David
Most of the time, Vada is the star of Jack's content; I only jump in when I'm feeling spicy.
Awesome video 👍
Thanks so much, it was alot of fun 🤣
Great job Ms. Taryn,
She's the best 🤣🤣 thanks 🍻
Now I suppose Chris has no beard?😮
It's winter, he's gotta have one right now 🤣🤣 thanks
@@LogCabinFirewood thought you were wearing it. Just saying. LoL.
I am Chris' doppelganger; I can see where there was some confusion.
Great video
Thanks so much, we're glad you liked it!
You guys are great! Taryn,I wish I could grow a beard like yours 😂😂 keep up the good work Jack and Merry Christmas to you all!
Gotta have fun while we can🤷♂️ thanks, Merry Christmas to you too! 🍻
Awesome job guys…🔥
Thanks, hopefully Chris likes it too! 😎
LOL what a fantastic job, great seeing you on the channel again.
Appreciate it, it was fun to make!
Okay this is a funny video. The beard rivals yours, but she needs to grow it a little longer. Keep having fun and stay safe.
🤣🤣 she wanted to looks as much like Chris as she could, I think she did a pretty good job. Thanks 🍻
Good video! Can’t wait to see what the future holds!💪🏻😎. How much did you have to pay your actress?

Great job Taryn (sp?). You are a natural! Funny I was wondering about the stamped pad. Makes total sense to me. What mama wants, mama gets. Have a great week both of you!

Haha you make super neat masterpieces, I just make nice organized rows 🤣🤣 thanks buddy ✌️
Capt Jack, since my memory is crap, have we seen your stand?
Lol, yeah there's a few of them out there of me building it, and loading it. 🤣 I'll have to put it in another one here soon.
@LogCabinFirewood like I said, I forgot my chiropractor appointment couple weeks ago cuz I was picking corn. Good thing she used to be a farmer..
Ha, I forgot a dentist appointment 2 weeks ago too, I can't blame age tho, only the many years of the devils lettuce prior to the railroad 🤣🤣
@LogCabinFirewood well, I turn 54 on Shiftys anniversary
Awesome! You guys make a great team! If I even catch my wife in the camera for 5 seconds she threatens to delete the internet!
Shes pretty bad ass for sure 😂😂😂
Trust me, he's gotten some very unflattering videos of me before, and I've threatened to do the same.
@@LogCabinFirewood clearly!
Hahaha this is great, this sounds exactly like Leah if I had her do a video. My wife would have picked a different hobby for me all together, but she rolls with it 😂
I didnt have Taryn do the video, this was entirely her idea!!!! She loves Chris 😂😂
Laying in bed when we watched his video requesting folks send him pictures and videos, she sends me an Amazon link to the beard and says " this is what I'm gonna wear, we're sending him a video "🤣🤣🤣
@@LogCabinFirewood haha I love it. Strong work Taryn. Also… what’s it like to make a video in such few takes. If TH-cam wasn’t a family channel I’d post a 9 hour marathon of my mess ups but it’s basically just me reinventing ways to use the same cuss words I’ve known my whole life.
@@FoothillsFirewood you get better over time, Taryn having an acting background makes it easier for her. 🤷♂️ Now me I do 400 takes some times 🤣
@FoothillsFirewood, what can I say? I'm a Jill of all trades, lol 😂
At least when you get old and gray she will like your beard better.😂
Probably not, I do that speak as eloquently as Chris does😂😂
my first saw was an 044, it was running lean all around from the previous guys tunings, sounded great up high which i then learnt means to lean, kept turning off after running it for a bit, took me a few videos watching tuning and then youll see exactly what to listen for, its quite easy now, i tuned my saw the other week in about -18 celcius, had it running great and starting good, thing wouldnt start when i first bought it, took forever, all i know is counter clockwise is your friend lol, now if i have to ill just make small adjustments with temperature change, its easy to figure it out once you do it a few times, i did end up buying a cheap tach, and my tunes basically spot on.
Hey thanks so much for the comment, I tried a few times to clean that saw up. I honestly think back then I was running bad gas too, when I blew it up the first time, the second time I definitely had it adjusted incorrectly 🤷♂️ now I just drop it off and let my saw guy tune it so I know it won't be an issue. It's still a good running saw, wanna keep it around for a while 🤜🤛
hi there good show . best to all john
Cheers, John. I appreciate it.
Love my 044! I had an 028 before as well.
The 44 is the best all around saw for what we do i feel
Good show. Id reconsider reconditioning your grandfather's saw, just in memory of him but that's just me. Interesting to see how folks prep their saws, no wrong way IMO. Keep cuttin' Jack!
@@TravisDoesFirewood I wasn't very clear on his saw. Its been rebuilt, fully functional, I just have no use for a small saw. You end up working your body harder with small saws. It took me a while to understand it, but "stand up and buck" is a good thing to live by. Saves body fatigue 💪 I don't like having a bunch of different chains sizes to keep up with or maintain too. I'll end up getting rid of my ms250 eventually when I get either another 500, or i may get a 661 haven't decided yet 🤷♂️ we shall see.
I wonder how many of us have our Dads (Grandpa’s) old saws. I have my dad’s 1st saw he ever bought. It was an old McCulloch with zero safety and a thumb oiler.
I'm sure alot of us do, following in our elders footsteps. Except now we have better tech to not have to work as hard as they did. 🍻
carlton file o plate is what i use part no. 37501 i've had mine for 40 yrs. can't believe. i have'nt lost it .very hard steel.you can put it on a tooth and round file the chain it gives you depth of file and angle . half way back i go to 13/64 file. keeps nice hook. thanks Jack. the saw will cut faster with bar upside up?you'r joking right?you should flip bar occasionally for even wear ! in the 70s they made bars they called banana tips they had to be put on one way.
@@ElmhorstJ howdy, I'm pretty sure west coast saw designed their brand of depth plates guides after the Carlton ones. Ive seen Buckin Billy Ray use those often, but I'm unsure if they're still being produced. And of course I'm was joking about the bar flip. You should see some of the goofy folks on face book and tiktok that scream the bars upside down and they don't work properly if upside-down... trolling the trolls is all 🤣🤣 Cheers
Ive learned with the alternative 8 tooth sprocket i use on one saw, any slack at all can throw the chain off because of the larger sprocket size. Also ive found excessively flexible bars are not ideal for falling trees near the same size of the bar. Granted im talking 105-119 drive links that are bigger bars have. . The dealer ran a special on some odd 37" bars at $20 each. Also a odd 0.058 gage. Definitely some REAL flex in those gen1 Oregon light bars, with alignment problems are the main issue. 0.01c
I'm just a firewood guy, no dropping trees for me, I just like the 24" light bars to balance out the saw a bit. There is a noticeable difference for me at least holding on to the 500 or the 44 all day. Thanks David 🤣
Probably just the farmer in me but if the manufacturer thought the oil would be enough they wouldn't make a grease hole
From all the testimonials I've heard from real loggers or Arborists, the grease holds more dust and dirt, leading to premature nose wear. My stihl bars don't even have a spot to grease the nose. 🤷♂️
Not just the word being the right way, the bar pointing down speeds up the chain too!!! And moving the saw back and forth like a hand saw ….. that really help cut fastest!
@@tomessary4099 🤣🤣🤣 yes!!! I agree with your thinking 🍻🍻
Great video! Need to work the oil in the foam filter!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
@@davidedwards3734 right on, they definitely have some oil in them. Thanks man.
Jack, maybe along the way you could get your grandpa’s chainsaw fixed up for when you get older 😮😊❤
I guess I was unclear on the video, but I had that saw rebuilt, and now it sits. She runs perfectly fine now though. I doubt I'll ever want to run a smaller saw. While they may be lighter, you spend alot more time being bent over trying to let the small saw work it's way thru stuff. I dunno 🤷♂️ we'll have to see later on in life. Thanks a bunch 🍻
