Bjorn methodology is based on benefit-cost analysis (CBA) to find the most effective policies on climate change. At its core, this approach quantifies all benefits and costs in monetary terms, then calculates the ratio to determine the total social benefit per dollar spent. However, CBA tends to overestimate costs and underestimate benefits, making it more suitable for incremental changes rather than the comprehensive transformation required to address climate change. In general, CBA is inadequate for evaluating climate change policies for four key reasons: 1) Misclassification of Expenditures: CBA treats company expenditures as costs rather than investments, ignoring the future competitive benefits these expenditures can bring as the low-carbon transition progresses. Investments in emission reductions and new product lines are essential for enhancing economic resilience. 2) Neglect of Beneficiary Businesses: CBA tends to focus on the costs to large incumbent businesses, overlooking newer companies that could benefit from increased demand for their climate-friendly technologies and products. Supporting these emerging businesses is vital for long-term competitiveness. 3) Societal Benefits of Technology Adoption: CBA fails to account for the societal benefits of increased technology adoption, such as driving down costs through learning rates and economies of scale. These benefits create a positive feedback loop that enhances the feasibility of ambitious climate actions. 4) Policy-Certainty Benefits: CBA often views regulation as an economic burden, neglecting the benefits of policy certainty. Clear and consistent climate policies can encourage private investment and generate economic benefits by providing businesses with a reliable framework for planning and investment.

How can he be a fake climate scientist,- when he is a political scientist? Lomborg never calls himsels a climate scientist. Why do you forget to mention the nobel lords that is backing Bjørn Lomborg. You are not happe that only 67% of kids are fearfull of the future due to climate. Would you be able to point to any of the fluffy outdated data Bjørn Lomborg uses - he mainly uses the latest IPCC report regarding climate.
