  • The moment this leftist said "climate change," it was game over for Ben Shapiro.
Why? As a climate pro, Jessie Frahm is going head to head with Shapiro to tackle elements of the climate change denial that has been promoted by some political figures, Young America's Foundation and the man himself, Ben Shapiro.
Join us as we sense check the facts of global warming, the climate crisis, and the role of politics in the fight against climate change.
Because here at Planet One Point Five we believe in having a nuanced debate representing both sides of left and right politics to nurture a nuanced discussion.
So, get ready, it's getting hot in here, as our climate pro goes up against Ben Shapiro, respectfully!

💡Are we taking science seriously enough?

The vast majority of the planet is poor, and not just in the sense that they dont have regular meals, but they are also energy poor, energy and energy infrastructure is not cheap. Let's be honest we can't relate to the poor. We're worried about ourselves. We are used to simple comforts that the vast majority of humans can't imagine. This level of comfort is an anomaly, and not just in human history, ask any other species. And the normal state might return, because we humans are not a peaceful or honest species, generally speaking. Everyone seems to forget that. We, especially in the west, we imagine how we will all hold hands, and the worlds biggest polluters will fall in line behind us, and accept our so called "climate philosophy leadership". We as a species disagree and fight wars on much smaller issues.
But the truth is, that most of our "climate philosophy and strategy" is just 95% posturing (and talking loudly) and 5% last century technology. So far it's just more polluting with extra steps. Exporting pollution from rich countries, to poor countries, where we dig up mountains for our electric vehicle minerals.
Then our green political parties get re-elected because the numbers show how many mines and polluting factories they closed in our rich country. Then once we're done, we dump our trash batteries (and solar panels) back into poor countries. Because that's how we humans are, dishonest and short sighted. We can only see as far as our own benefits stretch.

We are taking climate change far too seriously, Shapiro is right as usual

I mean, I hope he’s right but don’t have the gut to sit around and wait and see…

Nice video, but you didn't seem to disagree much with him

Appreciate your kind comment. Oh absolutely don’t get me wrong I strongly disagree with his narrow minded approach to sustainability. We can’t just build a wall around us and ignore the problem. However, we probably need adaptation too which would be an agreement point. ☺️
