Casino Royale 007 James Bond [Full Audiobook]

In the novel that introduced James Bond to the world, Ian Fleming’s agent 007 is dispatched to a French casino in Royale-les-Eaux. His mission? Bankrupt a ruthless Russian agent who’s been on a bad luck streak at the baccarat table. One of SMERSH’s most deadly operatives, the man known only as “Le Chiffre,” has been a prime target of the British Secret Service for years. If Bond can wipe out hi...
Fleming really stretched out that climax. Protracted almost beyond the reader's patience
I always chuckle when fans complain that the films were too fantastic and " unrealistic"As if the novels were grounded in reality and 'serious' thrillers
I thought he was a joke. He spent so much time repeating absolutely irrelevant questions. I just got through watching the entire trial for the second time. I can't understand why people are praising him. Jodi made him look like a fool, like he was the only clown in a 3-ring circus. If you want to see a good attorney, look no further than Tom Mesereau.
I read this book in high school and loved it.The movie with George Lazenby stayed pretty close to it.
Ian Fleming was bias about the u.s. not being important and was riding the British intelligence balls, even though they had more moles then the moleman
My favourite book. My least favourite film.
The exposition in the spectre chapter is all time great.
I swear if they took the words "contemporaneous" and "de-edify" away from Jodi, her testimony would have lasted 45 minutes
Is this audiobook legal? It's not theft? AI reads it?
This is excellent stuff
I'm sorry Clancy. I hope you think of me when you lay next to him and listen to this.
Many thanks for uploading.
👍❤
Love how the narrator sounds a bit like Juan himself lol.
It's worth listening to recordings of British people from the 1950's and 1960s, and hearing the ways they spoke. Unfortunately not a one of the people chosen to read the novels seems to have done so.
He was a brilliant prosecutor!
Philopon is meth! Little did I know how it would figure in future US culture when I first read about it so very long ago.
Hah, I did an image search for "saturnine" face and one of the returns was Fleming's cousin Christopher Lee!
The "scum of the world" had taken over Paris? What would Fleming say of Lindon today?
Juan is an inspiration for me... and hopefully other people. He poured himself into this case and got a good result... in spite of the opposition. Amazing stuff.
BP 160/90. Can’t believe he didn’t have a stroke.

The novel was based on a screenplay that was intended to be the first film. Fleming didn't create SPECTRE - the co- writers did. Thankfully. Fleming , being a committed anti- communist, would have kept using Russia as the villain in every novel!
4:40:53 that was a badass ending.
Do you have Octopussy & the living daylights?
Book’s ok. I enjoyed reading Casino Royale

The narration is great UNTIL it gets to foreign accents.....the attempt at the indeterminate American one is bad (and pointless) enough - the Caribbean ones are downright awful, bordering on offensive! I imagine he 'dragged up' up in the studio when switching into higher-pitched mode for the female characters, probably sat in a tux for the majority of the reading, which then obviously begs the question as to whether he 'blacked up' or not when butchering the islanders speech......😄
3:10:08.
Great book till the whole rehashed testimony. Much better when it stuck to background and behind the scenes interpretations, planning and interpretations. Don’t need word for word repetition of testimony. Especially for anyone who didn’t, for whatever reasons, watch the trial.
This should have been renamed: James Bond Short Stories.

Hello all.
I just realised that this book is a romance, with a nasty espionage twist.
2:32:10 This... this is SO... relaxing
Who is reading this good book?
“Love you Mommy. Love you Daddy” were the last words she said to her parents 😢
One looks like Jeanette McCurdy and the other one looks like Lindsey Lohan…so incredibly sad! Rest in Heaven, Skylar! May God continue to provide strength and healing to your family! 🙏🙏
Fleming didn't know much about rockets.
He got a lot wrong, didn't have the internet then. But he still wrote great stories.
Interesting to hear M promoting the benefits of natural health remedies...
So "M." is "M." because his name is "Miles." I always wondered.
