    Mazepins/Uralkali just convincing everyone that they are absolute twats. It's sad that Haas has to go through this. I'm sure Haas will win the case, but it's so clear that Mazepins want us to talk about them, no matter if it is a good thing (which absolutely isn't the case here) or not. Don't know what to expect regarding the Dutch GP, since the weather at Zandvoort is so random this weekend and so is the grid in practice.

    "Regardless of what's going on in FP3" - Sargeant binning it, so just the usual stuff. Also, calling Uralkali a pack of wankers is very disrespectfull towards them, and I love it. Seriously, can those morons with the IQ of a rotten tomato just piss off finally? Their boss is literally a friend of Putin, he was in the room when the whole "special operation" was announced - plus both papa Maz and little Mazespin are on the EU no-go list. All of this is just a massive coping mehanism and refusal of realisation that Nikita was shite and would have been thrown out either way, sooner or later.

    Wait and see - that's my tactic for Doohan, or any incoming new driver in any series. This goes both ways obviously - don't wanna instantly throw someone into the meh category and forget that he exists, but at the same time you don't want to act like people are acting with Antonelli, where they are already calling him a 15 time world champion, 3 time Triple Crown winner and the best thing since King Latifi. If they are supposed to come in, let them come in, wait 10-15 rounds and then see where they could possibly belong. One thing you have to give Alpain credit for, is actually promoting one of their junior drivers, insteand of taking someone who already raced in F1. But at the end of the day it's still Alpain, so Doohan will need a good therapist.

  • @AngryFrenchPenguin
    @AngryFrenchPenguin 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Doohan isn't bad, there's worse drivers for sure. but there's also a lot of better drivers. I guess Alpine got stuck with that choice because nobody really wants to drive for them Mick to Sauber? as much as I love him, he's not a F1 talent, despit how good his F2 and F3 campaigns were. I think Mick should stay in WEC (although not with Alpine, this team is going nowhere...). as you said, Antonelli might be a better option, he is starting to get his stuff together, and he's still young, so plenty of time to improve and mature

    Isotta was literally a LMP2 in a Hypercar wrap, they had no performance, hired drivers with no proper enduro experience, and at some point, they were over 4 seconds a lap slower than their LMH competition. I know that people enjoy watching privateer entries, but if somebody joins in and takes the piss by crawling around at the back, leaves after 5 races and has the balls to say that they are "proud of their achievements" - of which there are none - then people shouldn't be surprised that ACO doesn't wanna bother with this. I personally gave the team 3 years before they leave, but it seems that I was overly optimistic. RIP Isotta and shoutout to their family. Also #SpaghettiGang

  • @nathanstroud2223
    @nathanstroud2223 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I thought Isotta Fraschini performed quite admirably for a small, single car program that had backmarker written all over it. Vanwall had better results in class, but that's very deceiving, not only because the class grew from '23 to '24, but because the overall results for IF were better. Where they finished in class was where they finished overall, whereas Vanwall never finished ahead of the LMP2 winning car, and half of their classified finishes were behind the GTE Am winners as well. Granted, the changes to the class system for this year make it easier for a team like that to stay in touch with the Hypercars and not get beaten by the lower classes, but still, even when the P2s showed up for Le Mans, the Isotta Fraschini finished well ahead of all of them.

    I'm not sure that Red Bull should try switching Checo, Daniel and either Yuki or Liam for couple races, since this would in my opinion create even greater chaos in Red Bull and VSHART, it would maybe annoy all four of them and Red Bull would basicaly sacrifice their constructurs title bid with this. Sure, they were doing this in 2005 (Klien and Liuzzi), 2016 (Max and the torpedo himself Kvyat) and 2019 (Gasly and Albon), but that was always with two drivers, not four. Also I think that F1 allows only two switches in driver line up mid season (unless the switch has to be made for health reasons), So who'll be the potential two drivers switching with Checo? Daniel and Liam are obvious choices, but that would prompt Yuki to leave VSHART for something else for 2026. Similar narative goes for Liam if Red Bull decides to trial Yuki and Daniel. In my opinion the best option is to trial Yuki and Liam and keep Daniel in VSHART, but Daniel is too popular and liked by the main team that Red Bull will be pretty much peer pressured into the potential trial. Overal, it was said here multiple times, Red Bull is a mess on multiple fronts.

    Shame I couldn't attend the stream. Maybe next time. In my opinion Audi is too far in the developement of the car and hiring (and firing) staff that just quiting because 'we don't want to do this no more' isn't an option anymore. I think that Audi in 2026 will be pace wise A:exactly at the same place Sauber is right now or B:in a similar position to VSHART I don't think WRC2/3 drivers should go full time, since in my opinion the costs to run a full season would escalate. However I think there should be more restrictions on the drivers choices which rally they want to compete in. Either by surface type (5 gravel, 2 tarmac, 1 snow/mixed rally for example), or that the choices have to be split evenly between first and second half of the season to ensure that there would be higher chance of clashing between drivers competing for the title.

    I think Audi leaving F1 is the right decision, since it oblies F1 to change their rules for entering, saves Audi a lot of money and they can invest in more interesting motorsports like WEC, Extreme E and even returning to Formula E, is much more meaningful for they road cars than F1 is.

    I think a good compromise could be to have 3 or 4 mandatory events (I'm thinking sweden, portugal, finland and CER for balance/calendar spread) and then 4 rounds are driver's choice. I don't really get the "drop the lowest score" thing, other than making predictions complicated - which is already the case with the round choice

    If Audi/Hulk say that everything is fine with the project, that in all honesty doesn't mean anything. At the same time, it's hard to expect someone deeply involved to come out to the press and say "it ain't looking good chief". Now, a pseudo DTS style documentary with sole focus on M-Sport reminds me of the old series "A year in the fast lane" which solely followed Benneton in F1. If they indeed manage to avoid turning it into a soap opera and create fake bs for the sake of "entertainment", then I am all for it.

  • @davidmarecek1754

    Hulk is just trying to sweep the Audi tension rumours under the rug. Just like yesterday, WRC is trying to be popular for the US and begging Liberty Media to by them out, atleast I get this vibe from all of this. That being said, I think DTS style series with WRC setting, focusing on the in and outs of the M-Sport (and hopefuly other teams in the future) and drivers sounds really interesting, dare I say even more interesting than DTS itself. Unfortunately drama sells, doesn't matter if it's organic or fabricated.

And even if he would be charge for treason, that guy is so filthy rich that the court result won't even matter, let's be real. I hope that Merc isn't just huffing copium, just like they did with the zero pod concept. I wonder why Audi thinks there's some tension in the team. It surely can't be that the high profile staff gets changed constantly or that the higher ups want to run the team similarly like Toyota did when they were in F1. All the sarcasm asside I hope Audi won't end up like Alpine/Renault, because they are certainly heading that way.

    WRC wanting more US audience. How about having a rally in the USA then if Mexico, Chille and Paraguay aren't enough? They haven't been there since the group B days and even that was one time event back then (atleast I think). This way they are just pitifuly begging Liberty Media for some attention but they are bit too late on this bandwagon in my opinion. They should've tried harder when Ken Block (r.i.p.), Travis Pastrana or Tanner Faust were all the rage back in the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s. Another problem is that even though US have their own championship, rally is still super niche sport there and WRC basicaly doesn't have anything to promote there. Briatore is just trying to stir a pot so that he's relevant again. Sure, it's a realistic guess, but that's the thing. It's guess. Ricciardo to Sauber: seriously someone has to make a bingo card with Ricciardo's rumours. I'm not sure. I just can't seem to connect this combination together. But I couldn't do that two years ago when Alonso to Aston Martin rumours blew up. I still think Daniel will stay somewhere in the Red Bull family, but let's see what happens. Ogier is gunning for the ninth title and I'm absolutely here for it. If he continues driving the way he drove so far this season, I'm sure he'll get it or atleast he'll be super close. If I was Neuville right now, I'd start to get worried.

    If Liberty Media buys WRC then WRC is over. I would like to have a rally in different continents, Olympus Rally would be cool to bring back. But remember it was not just Europeans who loves WRC, South America and Oceania likes WRC a lot as well. Particularly Argentina and Australia and New Zeeland I love that Ogier speaks up on this as well, he has been pretty vocal about dumb stuff in the past especially on WRCs own interviews. There are more WRC drivers that has been speaking their minds about the points system, like Evans, but WRC never showed that. I wonder why. I hope it was on WRCs own interviews, they could not get away with it when he raged about Pirelli doing a s!@t job. It is exiting that he is back in contention and he can prove that the new points system is useless. I hope he speaks up about virtual chicanes as well Speaking of tyres, Hankook Tires will be the new soul supplier for WRC 2025 and onwards Where is the news anchors desk? HAHA

    The year is 2556. Humanity has left earth years ago and now resides across various colonies on Mars, the Moon and other places in the Solar System and beyond. Formula 1 has long evolved beyond using conventional racing cars and is now racing anti-gravitational ships in various locations, including deep space and around black holes - as such, none of the old teams of the origin days exist anymore, nor are they even remembered. It has become the most popular sport known to man. Daniel Ricciardo has been cloned multiple times to race at least half of the ships in the series. Fernando Alonso is still chasing his 33rd win. Ok, as much of a joke this is, if somebody would freeze me, then wake me up in the 26th century and then tell me those news, I would not be surprised.

    About Evans' off in SS19, I don't think it was entirely caused by the ride height. In my opinion they hit a patch of high grip gravel with opposite lock which helped to launch them out of the road. Thierry had no issues with ride height and he had almost the same launch at that corner, hitting the same high grip patch. Maybe his reaction was better/faster and maybe he simply had more luck on this corner, but there was visible snap of the car on the apex. Ogier's task won't be that simple anymore because in Greece he'll be 2nd car on the road, probably in Chile as well. On the other hand, he has already won rallies when 1st on the road so this is going to be interesting to say the least. Hyundai scored their only 1-2-3 in Acropolis and Tanak has two Chile wins under his belt already so hopefully we may see some more head to head action. Probably the fight will go down to the wire.

    I mean yeah. We already discussed this 'transitional period' and 'everything sustainable'. The biggest surprise really is that this is on Forbes of all things. Also true is that if WRC would go full petrol, this'll be good at best for two, three maybe four years before the series would die. If they'll go full electric... I mean look how World RX ended up (Okay, there were also other factors like full reliance on privateer entries/lack of factory supported cars and getting under WRC umbrella, but point remains). And if they triple down on hybrids, only Toyota and Hyundai will be there with concrete stability, with Ford on quite shaky ground.

    I wonder why Elfyn hasnt been as strong as last year. I wonder if maybe Yaris has had some developmental or set-up changes that makes it less easier to drive for him, as the difference between the 2021 and 2022 proved a stark contrast in terms of pace. It could also be a mental block too, where he's too focused on over comphesanting for Toyota not having Kalle evrey rally or him not wanting to be beat by Ogier. I also think that Thierry has maybe settled down with the fact that he's not got the outright pace to beat both Kalle and Seb so he's taking a more calculated approach this year, as i don't think he's been as on the ball as late, he picks up the points and gets out, kinda like a Joan Mir situation, where he never really pushed for the win but won it by maximising his chances when another rider had misforutne. This year has been a blessing for entertainment with Kalle being part time it ramps up the stakes for other drivers to show what they've got but also a curse as it shows the disparity and skill gap between some of the older and more established drivers against Kale and Ogier.
