The only thing I don’t like about the hilt design is where the button is placed: it’s usually where I like to spin the saber so I worry that it’s either uncomfortable or it may turn off when your trying to spin
It doesn’t get in the way at all and it feels super comfortable in the hand when spinning it around and messing with it. Don’t forget you can decide whether the button is on the top or bottom of the handle when you put the emitter in place too so that also helps
How bright would you say this is compared to others of higher price ranges? And would it be possible to swap out the blade for others or are these kind of proprietary?
Brightness is insane on this, equally matches any competitor. I don’t think you could use other blades though - the emitter I think is different design to other official Darksabers
@@order66collectibles My goal here is to try to have a traditional round neopixel blade but the connector shape to match that of this emitter. Probably going to have to jerry rig something myself. Know anyone who does custom blades that could pull this off by chance?

@@Pierre845 no problem at all! The blade brightness is awesome - I filmed in the daylight with my blinds shut which is probably why it doesn’t look as bright as it could. The blade does wobble/flex if you have it on its side but that will happen with any flat blade design like this - I think I show the extent of the flex towards the end of the video 👍
There’s no specific reason, sabneo just specialise in that end of the market. The quality of the build is brilliant and all of the functions are easy to use and so much fun! They can price it cheaper because it isn’t strictly a 1-to-1 replica of a character saber, it’s technically a custom saber inspired by the darksaber
Not gonna argue there - that toy darksaber is PHENOMENAL! That whole toy line is, in my view, the best toy lightsaber you can get and in some cases - like the darksaber - the best budget lightsaber you can buy
In fairness it is billed as darksaber-inspired rather than as a 1:1 replica. There are that many variants of the darksaber out there that all call themselves Darksabers, with all of the influence taken into this one I think it’s fair to call it a budget Darksaber. Same with the SE edition lightsabers from other manufacturers that don’t have control boxes and all of the elements, they’re close enough for those on a budget 👍

I skipped the Disney one because it notoriously does not light all the way to the tip.
